Thanks for the video! Question??? Using air pressure also, it appears only half the systems coolant came out. How do we get most of it purged from the system?? Anyone? Thank you.
There are more than 4 gallons (16.5 quarts) of coolant in his 3.5 Ecoboost, but he only drained 1.75 gallons. In other words, he mixed the old with the new coolant.
This video helped me out the most. I just got one suggestion, use the o-ring trick on your universal extension. Works great. A tech at work showed it to me awhile back and I love it.
The fact that this is necessary should speak volumes about the quality of the JUNK you are buying Ford junkobust engines need puke cans then why don’t they come from the factory you have been bamboozled
Thanks for the video, very informative. My caravan has a really bad oil leak, and the whole area I will be working on is covered with a thick coating of guey, sicky , black oil. I dread this upcoming job, but I think I can do it thanks to your video, keep up the good work
One time i just put a pick in the hole and worked the broken part of the bolt out turning it by hand. Sometimes you get lucky!! In my opnion that bolt dont break when its removed , its already broken from the pinion shaft banging on it over the years so there isnt much friction at the broken thread. A much better design would be a two piece bolt and pin , unscrew the bolt then reach in with a magnet and slide the pin out . There is a special tool that forces the pinion shaft out shearing off the locking bolt in the process. Works like a c clamp They also make a long thin drill bit and a threaded bushing that goes in the bolt hole to center the bit.
Im at the dealer for this issue. I am under the 8 year 80k miles and they are saying its not covered, after initially saying it was covered. I called ford and they said it was covered and now ford is saying its not covered.
I'm getting ready to install the same system in ¾inch and was looking for a cheap way to straighten my lines. I didn't think of doing this. Thanks for the video! You just saved me $150!
