What are plasterboard ceilings?
Plasterboard ceilings are coatings under the slabs or horizontal elements made up of metal profiles. They are intended to hide facilities and decorate enclosures. They provide fire resistance, improve acoustic and thermal insulation.
There are semi-direct, suspended and without crashes.
The semi-direct ceilings are formed by a structure of galvanized steel sheet profiles based on masters, anchored directly to the slab, to whose external side one or more Pladur plates are screwed.
Suspended ceilings can be formed by a structure of galvanized steel sheet profiles duly suspended from the floor by different types of hangers, and supported by mechanically fixed profiles around the entire perimeter.
They can also be made up of a double structure, primary and secondary, positioned at the same level or at different levels.
When it is at the same level, the primary structure is suspended from the slab by means of hangers and the secondary structure is joined to the primary with crossing accessories, both supported by profiles fixed around the entire perimeter.
When it is at a different level, the primary structure is also suspended from the slab by means of hangers and the secondary structure is duly suspended from the primary by means of clamps and supported on the perimeter profile.
The ceilings without overhangs are formed by a single structure of uprights duly supported on the lateral support walls, by means of channels and fixed around the entire perimeter.
