Moson Model Show (April 20/21 2024), Mosonmagyaróvár Hungary DISCLAIMER: I am NOT!! being paid to promote this event, brands in this video and to make this video! Thanks! Music info: Best licensed music: artlist.io/
That’s not ‘just’ Hungary. That’s also Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Polish and Ukrainian modelers competing, surprisingly many Italians, also Austrians, Frenchs , Russians and Germans, and guests from Japan, China and Korea. And whoever else I missed in this listing. Surely a certain Eastern European dominance, but in some ways a world event. With the Hungarian Army providing airspace coverage…..😊
Actually the majority of the modelers are from other countries all over Europe and the entire globe. For example there were participants from Chile, Japan, USA, China and so on. At the begining of the video (00:40) you can see a map with many pins representing the different countries/cities the modelers came from. You sholuld visit the show once, its a really huge competition one with stunning models - as you can see in the great video from Dusan.
@@Custer0706 Wow. I didn’t know the scale of the show was so international. Impressive work from all. I’d love to go to a show like this. Maybe I should start smaller first 😅
I really really want to watch this, but I'm afraid there won't be a single in-flight aircraft model....like most shows! The onground models are always of high quality of course, but I'm looking for the wheels up experience! Cheers, Chris
I hear you. For me, to portrait the idea of "movement" and "flight" in a static model is the ultimate modeling "holy grail". But unless someone comes up with some kind of magnetic levitation sorcery, at the end of the day you have to stab your model with a pole or rod to show it in-flight. Last year I tried my luck with an in-flight model of a VF-111 F-4B rolling in for a bomb run: she didn't make it to the podium, but she received a "honorable mention" by the jury anyway. 😅 (if you search for "Moson Model Show 2023!" in the "ScaleModelAircraft" channel here on Y.T., you can see a glimpse of "Ol' Nick 201 in hot!" @14:06) Cheers from Italy! 👋
@@lorenzcassidy3960 my argument against the "poles/rods to show inflight are unrealistic" is to just pivot the camera around to the figure displays, where there's literally thousands of busts and figures set on poles...yet no one questions that way to display a model? I do all my aircraft on clear rods - when you look at my collection in the display cabinet, you can't see the clear acrylic rod behind the glass from across the room - hence all of my aircraft seem to be flying....I'm happy with that compromise vs having them parked lifeless on a flat surface.
Wow, didn’t know the Special Hobby 1/48 SMB-2 Super Mystere kit is already available (47.27 on the video). Have it on preorder and still waiting. 😢 But it is a lovely show - so much talent on display. And the kits for sale there … my wallet would be emptied pretty fast. 😁
@Custer0706 I'm not surprised. I'd love the 120 AK paint set, but at €348 direct from AK or £289 here, it's crazy. All of the after-market stuff. The myriad kits. Many of which I never knew existed. Then add the figurines that I've never attempted before but do tempt me. I want to win the lottery 😫
Hermoso video, yo colecciono maquetas hace 60 años y tengo más de cien modelos de aviones, Es fantástico este hobby. Colecciono 1/32 y 1/72, pero creo me cambiaré a 1/48 hay más detalle en las maquetas.
These beautiful works of art haunt me. I have a modelling studio with three walls stacked from floor to ceiling with unopened boxes of model tanks, planes, warships, spaceships, robots, etc… 12 years ago I locked the doors as my mom got very sick and I tried my best to take care of her. Mom passed away 3 years ago, and my son was born at the same year I locked the doors. I am tempted to remove the cobwebs and unlock the doors, perhaps someday introduce my son to the hobby…
Que tristeza que en CDMX se suspendieron los eventos de modelismo y que la crisis economica haya dado al traste con los precios de los modelos y la unica forma de obtener modelos a escala económicos era con lodela revell y monogram ahora extintos vaya suerte tan mala
