Nice acquisition! They were one of the top of the line brands back in the day. I would have liked to see you put a few drops of oil down the spark plug hole on the rings and then crank it in case there was rust on the cylinder. An in-line fuel filter, grease job and maybe a new governor spring and it should be go. Congratulations!

I don't know much about small engines. I'd like if you'd give more details about how u got it started. How much sea foam? What were u touching near the engine to keep it from stalling? I have an old chipper I'd like to get running. Also is there a way to start a crank engine with a battery or electricity the way snowblowers do?

I put a cap full in with a cup of gas. I was adjusting the choke to get it to ideal along with the throttle . This allows more or less air to feed the motor and get it to start up.
