Yes.. would make a good review/video.. finding a position that is both comfortable long term for the client.. and for us... lower back.. oh gosh, think we all struggle here at times
You should do a video on different brands of stencil paper 😌 there's a big difference between spirit and cheep no name brand papers at least in my experience. Would be cool to see all the in-between's
You can put the dettol in a Spray bottle, spray it on the Skin and apply the stencil on the wet Skin. The Skin can be soaking in dettol and the stencil will still be crisp. Atleast that’s my experience. Greetings from Germany!
@@MertozProd what's up. This works best for myself. I start by wiping away oils from the skin using alcohol. Then shaving the area well. Right now I use stencil stuff. Place a generous amount t o the area but wait about 10 to 30 Seconds. When it's in between dry and wet. That when I place the stencil. Then wait about 5 minutes to start. I also find that practici g strategic wiping helps. There is no perfect solution. Hope this helps
Can we get an overall ink review on multiple ink brands. I know it's tough bc u don't want to come off as saying one is the best bc they r sort of option based ,but let's talk longevity in inks maybe please
I will see what I can come up with. I have yet to try many of the ink brands available let alone see them healed long term. But with that said I will look into trying out some other ink brands and types, in hopes to bring some valuable info to those looking for the "best" ink to use. And thank you Colbycheese for the support we really appreciate it! 🤘🤘
I just got some Dettol for my supermarket based on your review and can't wait to use it, a lot cheaper in my country then stencil stuff :) so thank you
Great video man. I’ve been tattooing over 20 years now. I’ve used a few of these before. Most of the time I just put my stencil on with green soap. If you keep your hands off your stencil it will just fine. So if your really on a budget you don’t need any of these.
Gonna have to agree with you on the hulk super bond. I've been ordering it from painful pleasures for a lil over a year now. I'm very pleased with the results.
@@jeremywalker6260 most definitely the best out there brother can't get no better my opinion I have tried it all hulk super bond is the best hands down.
Love stencil stuff! Thank you for making this video and all of your other ones too. Your literally the only person I can stand to learn from on RU-vid. Cant wait to see your next video.
Hey Dave! I've been following your channel and videos for about a month now and I love your content! You're so helpful. I'd love it if you could make a video critiquing and offering advice to tattoos that your subscribers have done on themselves! I've done several and would love your input
Electrum does need more time, like 10-15 minutes but then that will not come off. I do color realism so lots of wiping and this is the best product I've ever tried.
Hey, great video! I've been tattooing for over 20 years, and just like everyone back in the day, I've used speed stick many times. It works, but I was pretty happy to find other options. I've used Stencil Stuff, and Dettol in the past and really liked both of them. But if you're really talking bang for your buck, good old green soap is never a bad option. I spray it on, apply the stencil, give it 5-10 minutes to dry, and seldom have any issues. May not be the best option for everyone, but that's the great thing about having so many different products, there's something for everyone. If nothing else, it's just another tool to have in your tool box. If you run out of your regular stencil solution, there's always a backup! Anyway, great video, great information. Thanks for sharing this. You got a new sub.
Dettol is the only one available in my country if id have to order stancil stuff everytime I’d have to wait for 3 months good to know there’s a quicker alternative
I think the only difference of my stencils is that I left it to dry 7 to 10 minutes and gets perfectly dry! Very good stencils with stencil stuff and electrum 😊
Yeah I find its best to let them dry for about 15 min or more before tattooing. But for this video I wanted to see how they would do with only 5 min of dry time. And great choice with stencil stuff and electrum as they both performed really well!! Thanks for the support Catarina we really appreciate it! 🤘🤘
Im with you Frederick as I use stencil stuff as well but was really shocked by how dettol did. I look forward to seeing how it works on a larger piece. Thanks Frederick always appreciate the support!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I've used dettol for over 10 years tried most of these stencil solutions always go back to dettol, or I do make my own stencil mix with dettol mixed with
I am really glad that you showed how to apply some of the products using a paper towel to prevent cross-contamination! For beginners (probably at home) they would not find those things out until some time later. You have saved some people for sure! Thanks for the great comparison video!
thank you brother!!🤘🙏! Rip tripper heck it’s been a while I’ll have to go see how he’s doing these days. And THANK YOU again Rellik always great to hear from you my friend !! 🤘💪👊🤘
@@ArtSomething I'm hoping you could drop by the streams, we almost at 1k too so I'm pretty proud of that goal. Thanks for inspiring me and giving me courage to try to do it.
Hey Dave, thanks for all the videos they have helped me tremendously!! Was wondering if you can touch on iPads, the different versions and if worth paying to help with tattoo designs. It’s hard to pull that trigger when they are like $1,000. Thanks man. Keep rocking and spreading the knowledge!
Thank you Rafael and sorry I had to move to putting out a video every other week as I have been a bit busy tattooing latley. I hope to get back to weekly videos in the next couple of months. Appreciate the support Rafael and keep Rocking brother!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for sharing this brother. I've always use speed stick and got some stencil stay had another solution that I got with my inkjet system I tried doing different applications with these three products and I actually use a hybrid mix speed Stick and stencil stay on top I found it's very durable using both in conjunction because I love the sticky feature of the stencil stay but also the durability of the speed stick yet seeing these other products as got my mind blown. I'm ready to try different ways just to see the long-term durability!! keep Rocking and brother
Great vid man! As you I’m used to Stencil Stuff and really like it, but you’ve made me very curious about Dettol. Especially since Dettol have many tat products, I think I’d better give it a shot and find out more about their assortment. 👍🙏
OK.. FREE TIP, only tip needed........ Put it on with anything even arm deodorant.. Then wait 5 min, then pat it dry over and over with paper towels real firm , until nothing comes off when you pat it.. go !
Thanks for choosing essential values product. My Wife is pretty good at researching the tattoo products she bought me. She is pretty good at stretching money and getting the best but spending the least. I always get great weed in the mail because she always searching online for the best weeds prices as well. lmfao!
Your wife is on point brother as Essential values made a really great product at a great price. And weed mailed the house, I need to up my game lol!! Thanks again brother always great to hear from you. KEEP ROCKING!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Bro thanks for this…when you are starting out nothing can be more terrifying than loosing a stencil and also you don’t exactly have a bunch of money to try a whole bunch of different products. This is great.
No problem Christopher that’s the reason we made this video as I know there’s so many products out there and it’s good to just get a general idea of which ones work and which ones don’t work so you can save some money. Thanks for the support my friend and keep rockin🤘🙏
If it works for you then keep with it but I would say try one of the other brands and see how it works for you, who knows maybe you will enjoy another product more. Thanks for watching and keep Rocking!!~ 🤘🤘🤘
What a relief that Dettol is so good. It's freely available and very cheap where i am compared to Stencil Stuff which is extremely expensieve. I'm just starting out btw.
This is Exactly the Video I was Looking for! I have been Tattooing for 17years & obviously I have used many different tattoo applicants but, where I mainly do realism I'm always trying to learn anything I can for the best outcome. I do have a question for you though? What is your preference of preparation before you even apply your stencil?
I still use stencil stuff. After trying all the products and seeing that certain products seem to work just as good as others I figured I better stick to what I’m comfortable with, so Im sticking with stencil stuff for now.
It'd be a bit more accurate if you counted the amount of wipes lol. With the green soap especially, but also i feel like certain areas will hold that stencil better too. Like a stencil in the ditch aint gonna hold as well as the ones on the calf. I do however find this interesting regardless
I think 5 minutes are not a long time, usually 15min would be better for a stencil to dry. I have used Electrum and it is great but also a pain if you put too much the lines will stay even after the tattoo is done.
Great video love the review on stencil stuff's going to try a few different ones now myself, I have a cheeper carbon paper so I'm wondering how it will hold up🤞😉👍
Thank you Al really appreciate that. Great to hear you want to try a few out as thats the best way to find what works best for you. Not sure about the carbon paper but I use Spirit Classic Thermal transfer paper. Best of luck my friend and thank you for watching and supporting the channel.🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething I've watched all your videos and picked up some great tips on how to do different things , shading etc, you do a great job I know channel growth is important I'm trying to grow my own keep up the great work
Love the videos. FYI, Temu has two 8oz Stencil Stuff for around $15.00 with free shipping. Takes a week or two to get it but worth the price. Keep up the amazing videos.
5 mins lol.....give it time to properly dry man............you can make your own better than any of them.....my stencils piss me off...they are still there at the end of the tattoo, peoples skin react differently too, and what you clean the skin with first, some areas are more oily than others, stop buying the trend....make your own shit.
How do u make more then one stencil at once because u have all those stencils being the same exact imagine so I’m guessing u didn’t have to re draw it back to back so I’m just wondering cuz if I draw up a stencil and put it on n it rips or it gets messed up I would have to re draw the whole thing over again on the stencil
I saw someone use Hibiclens as a stencil stuff too. (It's the stuff you see the surgeon put on his hands & arms before a procedure) It's pretty expensive -8oz. for $10... I use it to clean the skin but it does dry sticky so I may try it out some time. All & all, great video brother. Very interesting & informative!
That sounds pretty cool. Youll have to let us know how it goes when/if you try it out. And thank you Graffics, you always have some solid info to share and its much appreciated. Keep being awesome brother and Keep Rocking!!🤘🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething ok. I wasn't sure either. But I will definitely experiment with some and let u Kno wat the results are so we can both Kno for sure and for future reference. Thanks for replying back. Love ur videos and has taught me a lot. From south Georgia!!!🤙🤙
Awesome video. I've been tattoo for over 20yrs and I've been using Dettol for almost all of that time. For the amount you need to use with comparison to the cost, you can't go wrong. And like you see it sticks great and last long.
I'm just curious does everyone use it undiluted? when I prepare solution of dettol how it's instructed on the back of the bottle then it stains the fake skin horribly but undiluted dettol can give rash for some people, wouldn't like to risk that 🤔
The speed stick should have been cut with your green soap/water -not pure on the skin, your kind looking for a real fine lather appearance when you apply let dry set let dry 10 min then set with witch hazel. To remove any excess.
Hey Dave. I use savlon on my stencils and have no problems with it. On practice mats it does not come off at all. You are stuck with your stencil. A negative for that but great for your skin
I don’t know about wiping someone that hard maybe make a video showing that it’s not good to aggressively wipe someone after this video, beginners will absolutely do exactly what your doing
Seriously. I walked away from tattooing 10 years ago, came back, now trying to find Dettol is like searching for the Holy fucking Grail. The hell happened? Lol
HAHAHAH I couldnt agree more as it wasnt easy to get for this video. But im really glad I found it as I was really shocked by how well it worked on this test. I will try using it a bit more to see how it performs on a larger piece and what not. But I found this bottle on ebay I think I have a link or something like that in the description of the video. And thanks for the support Mike really appreciate it.🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething You got it, brother. I was never big on shop owners acting like they held some special, hidden information. Get the info out there for the world to see. We'll grow as a collective, not stagnate because some bullshit gatekeeper thinks they alone have the power to disseminate knowledge.
Guys I'm in south Africa this product is widely available here it's dirt cheap as well like the 70rand for 100ml which is like 5 dollars US, I've used anchored stencil stuff and ele trum never tried dettol thow
A little much does a drive for about an hour while I set up and if there’s any time left, I told Customer go smoke a bowl and get your mind right I don’t care if he’s in a hurry or not. He’s on my time.
i have had customers allergic to detol but i love it! but.... i take a bar of speed stick mix it with alcohol in a mini food chopper turn it to liquid form in a dropper bttl an viola! woks great an no cross contamination!
Viking ink stencil is really garbage, i tought it was me but i tried every possibilities to make a good stencil with it (every kind of layers) and it didnt work. So guys dont buy it pls
Been tatting since January this year and I found using speed stick has been pretty good. I normally apply it to the spot, place the stencil, then immediately I take a full dry paper towel and firmly press it against the stencil for about half the time I apply the stencil, then let it air dry for about 10-20min. The stencil stays on for the entire session with wet wipes. Pretty good method when u r on a budget. Thanks for sharing the other solutions as well. Very good insight on them all
Blow clothes work the best they are soft & tuff so they wont rip but they also wont irritate the skin like paper towel 💗 speed sticks garbage clogs pours and using it will trap those heavy metals under the skin
It seems like you are a hater when is come to Viking ink. You used a lots of it and you disintegrated apply it well to the skin. By the way depends on the stuff you use, and the amount of use, drying time can be different. You can’t judge then with one time of use, you need to learn them.
u cant go by just after 5 minutes when it takes 15 minutes to set up to fully be ready and dry .so this test is not accurate at all. the anchored does not come off at all stays on for hrs and electrum is also amazing if done correctly then stencil stuff will be third place. and have to let dry before add stencils and depending what stencil paper is used too.
Thank you sir i will buy that soon I'm always watching your vlog thankyou for sharing your knowledge it help me a lot watching from Philippines thankyou
Don't know if you've heard about it or not but there is this stuff called stencil honey, it's just now getting popular and I know a couple of people that swear by it.
@@adrianhuitron8772 yeah, I want to give it a try. I used Dettol forever before giving Stencil Stuff a try, I think they are both comparable to eachother. But Stencil Honey is definitely on the shopping list for the near future.
@@tattoostuff810 I get it from the eikon website eikon has always had good products .my first machine was from eikon and in the 99s I remember they were like the. Top notch power supply
The amount of value you get from this channel makes you not skip the ads, just to support this dude for his efforts! Also, I'm currently using the Electrum stencil gel. Dude...it's amazing. I wanted to ink myself one day and left it for too long to dry, since I was playing a bit of cyberpunk. After I forgot about the stencil for about an hour it literally took me 4 days of 2 daily showers and heavy scrubbing to get it off. Most deff recommend Electrum!
