O'HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(IATA: ORD, ICAO: KORD, FAA LID: ORD), typically referred to as O'Hare Airport, Chicago O'Hare, or simply O'Hare is an international airport located on the Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois, 14 miles (23 km) northwest of the Loop business district. Operated by the Chicago Department of Aviation and covering some 7,627 acres (3,087 ha), O'Hare has non-stop flights to 228 destinations in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania as of 2018.

Thé ATC sound is not necessary… So noisy and we didn’t hear the sound of the most engines planes… sorry

Those heavies are great to see! I love when cargos land and you can feel the thrust reversal in your chest as it takes them a good length of the runway to slow down. Very cool!!👍♥️💯

I was watching the a380 and the 747 on flight radar. I might be going plane watching in the future so do you have any recommendations on spots around O’Hare?

Although we're not really suppose to be there, but the Delta Cargo parking (Building 613, O'Hare International Airport, N Access Rd, Chicago, IL 66138) is a good place as long as there's an abundant parking spaces for their employees. Last thing we want to do is impede their business in anyway.. Another location would be west of FedEx Cargo. That spot is the first turn on S. Access Rd. off of Irving Park Rd and another quick turn onto a dirt and gravel road up a small hill. I think our days are numbered before we're not allowed up that hill due to construction. Happy Plane Spotting!

Cool!! Those planes are nice to watch. I'll definitely catch one again. We've gone a long way since 1903. Today you can get up go use the washroom, stretch out, go to the second floor, go to the bar and social area, lay down & go to sleep (First Class), get served dinner, have a few cold drinks, watch a good movie of your choice on your own flat tv screen on a cushioned complimentary seat selection with hundreds of people in the same flight with you at 40,000 feet and going approx. 575mph to the other side of the world. That is incredible!!! Did I forget something? lol

I was never bothered. If you live in the area I suggest you go there and capture whenever you can. It's a matter of time that hill will no longer be there.
