Don't you get freaked out flying your done so high, and far away from you? Like it could just fly away, or the battery could run out, or a wind gust could slam it into the building? I get a massive adrenaline rush every time mine leaves the ground, and wind gusts are whipping it around, after 5 min, the batter is dead. I try to land, but suddenly wind comes out of nowhere. It's always trying to drift towards trees, and I have to figure out which direction it's facing, and take action fast.
In 1996 when I was 16, I got lost and ended up in Cabrini. Some dude asked me if I would give him my truck.😂😂😂 Luckily I was from Kankakee and pulled a blade on him and he ran off.
If they put housing projects meaning of open space farmlands any other City you know what will happen actually work because all the hoodwinks will leave without no problem
I live here in Chicago all my life. I was born and raised here I would like to visit these places the Lakeshore mansions. I'm nobody really that important.
The community had an amazing recovery. I spent a happy boyhood there in the 60s. We fled in 1970 after white flight due to new Puerto Rican arrivals - gangs, drugs, arson, PR tribal bulling at school (Layfette).
What about Chicago's Westside and Southside of the housing infrastrcture of improving housing ? Did they rebuild housing in those communities? I am pleased to see the change in the community of the near Nouthsude of the Larrabee, west Hudson, West Division streets and others. I used to live within the distance of the Cabrini Housing. And l remember seeing the the demolishing of the first set of the Cabrini Green housing from thd view of my window. And they demolished the housing in the beginning of the early 1989 1990 -1992. 🪟 The new Cabrini Housing are much nicer. My hope is that the people living there will be able to thrive economically. Cause the real solution is to not only build new housing there. But bring in the economic infrastructure of creating jobs, bring in the businesses of that will bring in the economic impowerment in the community. Thank you for this sharing this documentary. ❤😊❤
Thank you for filming in my hometown. Me and my sister was raised up there and we used to play snowball fight together. I also brought my hubsand up here and hung out a few times and bike riding on the bike trail. He really enjoy the area but we also like the Indiana Dunes since we moved to Indiana now.
We used to do it off of Fulton avenue wasn't as many boats yeah of course that was the 80s p we put on quite a show tried a lot of tension even people gave us money we checked out the water and make sure it was safe to dump and dive
Just watched after seeing the new film Cabrini. Brought back memories of living in Chicago and hearing about all the crime and drugs at both C-G locations. (White kid that grew up in the suburbs!) Your tour gave me an update. Those tall buildings on the South side just made me so sad as I thought of the people living in those conditions- just horrible! Glad those were demolished. Mother Cabrini would be turning in her grave knowing what happened to the area. Glad to see it now regentrified for the most part, but looks like work is still continuing. Thank you for putting this up. Good luck doing more Chicago neighborhood tours!❤
