In this tutorial we'll be discussing about a safety valve what is its purpose and what is the rating on the safety valve
so here we can see we have a green safety valve we have a red safety valve this is a male safety valve and this is a female safety valve so what does the color green represent if you've actually gone through the pdf documents you would know that green represents 600 kpoa which is six bar then we have the red one which represents 400 kpa which is four bar again in the tutorials i told you 100 kpa is one bar 200 kps 2 bars 300 kps 3 bars and etc so what is this this is a very very very important part of the geezer what this does is it works in conjunction with this this thermostat tells this thing when to open so yeah we can see this is a white wax probe as soon as this geaser goes over 75 or 80 degrees this probe melts it opens the diaphragm yet and it sprays out boiling hot water here so just the thing that you should never ever ever do is never plug the safety valve off because you will your gears will explode it's like a time bomb so you don't ever want to plug this side off with your safety valve leaks also another important thing is when you change your safety valve always replace your thermostat it depends which visa which thermostat your visas got in so i could either have the vkf7 the vk f11 or the quick firm thermostat that's all that you need to know about safety valves i will show you in the tutorial how to replace the safety valve the correct way and how to do it safely i'll see you in the next lesson
