Hey Bill. Thanks for the demo on the replacement. Went into bunnings and I see a few different types 850Kpa, 1000 Kpa and 1400 Kpa. How do i determine which one to get? They are all the same price.

Is that combined pressure and temperature relief valve?

Do you keep the burner going when you do this or shut the whole thing down?

I had a problem with my geyser temp/pressure relief valve today, and I checked out TouTube for some answers why it's leaking, but no luck. I went and buy a new TPV and install it and still, it 's was leaking. I took the old and the new one to our plumbmarket, they said my thermostat is not closing to switch the element on, I could not believe that, but I bought a new thermostat install it and the problem was solved. I'm still confused, what has the thermostat to do with the TPV even when the water was cold, it's not that the water was too hot to build-up pressure.

I have a pressure valve like this and I just released the pressure for the first time in 20 months and water comes out of the top of valve as well as outside. But only when pulling the valve. Is it normal for water to come out of the top as well? As i didn't see it happen when you did it.

Hey mate I installed my new hot water system that valve was leaking and flushed it 6 times it stop and now that is hot it leaks over night a bit do you have to have the stem on it or not ? Because no matter what I need it to fix it

How does a Plumber justify $300 for 1 hours work? Also you must get the correct Kpa rated PTR valve, very important. Every night you should get 1 to 2 litres of water out of a 400L HWS from the PTR valve from thermal expansion, this is 100% normal operation. A PTR that is leaking constantly may also be too high inlet pressure Check your pressure reduction valve if this is the case

It only that was my problem.The water chesterfield is leaking! All the pipes ?dad to the garage, and the vent leads to the garage ceiling, not out through the roof! The heater sprung a leak all over the kitchen floor overnight, and the landlord is going to have to pay for that!

Quality of these valves went to turd very quick in the recent years.Had plumbber came and replaced twice. Sad.

these bloody things are designed to fail, they could use a ceramic stop, but naaa, mate, easier to sting you every few years.
