oh btw for the ppl wondering The howling happens in the middle of the night and ALL WOLVES IN THE WHOLE WORLD TURN HOSTILE (tamed ones only turn hostile on you when u don't feed them.)
I think the wolf howls would make it more realistic, and if they made it reach further than the barks, you would be able to tell when a pack is nearby when you’re looking for a wolf to tame. I think they should use it.

I remember when I was little and had Minecraft PE... I made a dog house and spawned in wolves but never tamed them, then once I accidentally hit one and they turned evil and it scared the living daylights out of me and then I didn’t play Minecraft again for a really long time.
I'm really glad they don't use the howling sound for the wolves because every time I wander around my world and here a wolf that's not tamed howling I would probably crap myself
Bonus fact: if you see an untamed wolf, its eyes are different to the tamed wolf, if you spot the difference between the tamed wolf and the untamed wolf, well you guessed it the tamed wolf has an afraid eyes but at the untamed wolf has an straight eyes
