Not because of your speed, which is very quick, or your licks, which are sweet and juicy, but because your love of music and your pure joy in playing comes through. Someone puts a guitar in your hands and that big smile immediately comes on your face. This, more than anything else, is what I strive for in music. Yeah back in the day(90-92 there about) he would mess with those Danelectro's but yeah although he has a cool collection (he likes the weird obscure guitars) its almost exclusively Ibanez.

@@j_freed except thats not the $25k replica. Its the MIM version that was $1699 until EVH passed. The $25k version doesn’t have the EVH logo on the headstock.

@@theadamjason He recorded it in standard tuning, but when he played live he played it in B, or Bb to be more precise. Eddie always tuned down a half a step so it’s weird that he would record it standard, but he did it because his keyboard was a standard type keyboard, I don’t think you could adjust the pitch. If you watch the video, he’s definitely playing it in the B position.

I really think that Paul has started to show his appreciation of the song in recent years. I started really digging on it around when Vibrato came out, and seeing him live there's such a love for the song, the lyrics, the story, the whole performance. And I think Paul's singing has just got better and better the more he focuses on The Song :)

Its a symptom of a calapsed culture. By over simplifying it, he's causing a calapse. Its the opposite of fantastic. To add to complex culture, you don't simplify. Paul needs to realize he's actually antisocial and he should book himself in to the mental ward.

This was like watching Sheldon and Amy doing “Fun with Flags” LoL No just kidding, great video and it is nice to see how that song is played because for me I have always had a hard time distinguishing the guitar parts with the whole band playing on the recording. I love to kid, Paul is a monster player and the young lady has the chops on those keys! I figured she is his lady so I cracked the Sheldon and Amy joke since they were just jamming out together and I meant absolutely zero disrespect…I love to kid.
