If your pc is trash and can’t run caves Wilson’s natural beard hair can be godly, even though life giving amulets aren’t too hard to make, most worlds typically don’t have enough red hounds to sustain 8-9 people for the first 40-50 days or so unless you have a dead player haunting hounds as another farms hound mounds but that’s a waste of two players just for mostly teeth and meat you’d get plenty of naturally in that time Wilson can make 5 meat effigies from his beard

Wear shadow armour, but the moment it breaks equip life giving amulet. This is just for the single player version though, as in dst you can still use it without equipping it, just haunt it when you die.
Ok, these range from the situational, like using lightning rods as lightning, which is only relevant once in a while outside of spring, to the useless, like the no shadow creatures bug, because if they don't spawn, why would you bother going insane, to the ones that will straight-up get you killed; thermal stones do not provide enough light for enough time to justify using them as such. A good chunk of these aren't even tips, like some characters being better than others, which is quite subjective, and I noticed several points that directly deviate from what seems to be your target audience, like the point against using rabbits as food when in reality they're a great early game food source. Bottom line, here's my tip for beginners: ignore this lunatic. He's eaten one too many dark petals if you catch my drift.
Healing salves are decent if you get supplies efficiently. Burn a bit of the rot that tends to pile up and use rocks the antlion drops underground when it's pissed. Sure, it's not as great as food heals, but it never spoils and is fantastic for emergencies.
This was what irked me. Turning a 8 heal item into a 20 heal for basically just scrap resources, how is it bad? I'm not saying you should go out of your way to always pile up on rocks, but you always seem to have them. Admittedly it's an item for when you screw up, but who doesn't?
I mean eventually regular dst gets boring as well. The learning process is what makes any game fun. Once you've done everyone you can do or want to do it gets bland and stale. The thing that separates the gorge was the only goal I had in mind was beating it. After that even attempting the other dishes seemed boring since they've already been discovered. There's no point in playing anymore as well as I don't feel any satisfaction for accomplishing anything since it's not really unique to do really any of the dishes. Also I find teaches my team mates rather annoying, and playing by myself is pretty boring as well. Unlike regular dst the gorge doesn't really have any RNG factors which makes it even easier to accomplish things.

(tl;dr: morsels are ok but other things are better; some of edgy rick's tips only work if you're very good at fighting) His whole point is that he thinks they're useless enough to remove completely. A lot of the tips on this channel don't work if you aren't skilled or knowledgeable enough, and can basically be ignored by most people. Luckily Rick usually explains them enough that you can tell if you should ignore them. If (like me) you don't want to get beard hair from bunnymen then rabbits are definitely the way to go and you should keep them. In terms of food, you /can/ get decent amounts of food from rabbits, but it takes a lot longer to gather than other foods. For example, 15 morsels will give 187.5 hunger overall, or 2.5 days of feeding for most characters. In order to gather the morsels, you have to catch 15 rabbits, which takes a while. On the other hand, if you have a crockpot and a birdcage and spiders near your base, you can kill the spiders in the morning and evening when leaving and coming back to your base, which doesn't take as long because you don't have to trick them in order to hit them. Whenever you collect 12 monster meat, you can cook 9 of them, feed them to the bird in the birdcage for eggs and cook meatballs three times, which gives you 187.5 hunger overall- the same as with the morsels, but with less work. Similarly, with drying racks or an ice box or lots of crockpots you can kill 3 or 4 beefalo every so often and then not have to gather food at all for several days. Also I know you made your comment ages ago but the video was already 17 months old when you did that so maybe it won't matter? Hope this is useful :p
I thought the catcoon trunk regenerates after a long time in DST? dontstarve.wikia.com/wiki/Hollow_Stump Yep, catcoons are renewable in DST. So you can get more than 9 catcoons per trunk
Huh, dontstarve.wikia.com/wiki/Hollow_Stump , says here on the wiki that their stump regens after a long period of time. So in DST, they do respawn infinitely. For marble suit I think it is useful if lag is making kiting basically impossible, like when you play with friends on another continent thus giving 240 ping.

yeah batilisks rarely drop wings and they do 20 damage when they bite you the random attacks on your base greatly offset the healing from the wings unless you have bunnymen guarding the entrance which in that case you wont be able to get the wings since the bats will quickly eat the meat before the bunnymen reach them
And it takes 0.1 second to swing at a spider, so 0.8 seconds on average with a hambat to kill the four spiders to get a spider gland, meaning you could collect three spider glands in 2.4 seconds. Healing 21 hp (more than a healing salve), and you haven't started with any items. Meaning it's at least 5.5x faster to collect spider glands. You only did one side of the math, and compared, without knowing what the other side was. Why would you do that?
I only use the marble suit if I have a large area of cobblestone turf to hold out against (or lure) mobs there, cobblestone completely offsets the speed loss of a marble suit, and marble is useful for fuck all otherwise
pierogi if you have a stable veggie filler farm cause eggs are easier to get than fish if you have plenty of silk and ponds near your base fish sticks are probably better
Edgy Rick although wendy is nice if you plan on making bee boxes as you can farm them safely and quickly with abigail while also getting the free spider farm.
spider warriors cant be stunlocked so webber is easily better at killing spiders and bee boxes can be harvested during winter without bees retaliating and if said bee box is far enough away it switches to the passive slow regeneration of honey which makes bee boxes useful in the winter where bee boxes normally do not generate honey
Hello! Edgy Rick, is there a way or tips to avoid Pengull from spawning our base? I know it's convenient to have Ice nearby for easy harvest but having Pengulls invading my base is a "Nightmare" they can break walls and hard to kill them just to stop them from destroying my structures.
(after reading fact 21) i see what you did there klei also just a personal tip, try killing klaus instead of the bee queen, as he is much easier, faster (saving on valuable time) and you can still get the bee crown from the loot stash's prezents edit: i meant faster as in he has less hp, making him easier to kill
Dunstan it more like they have a certain amount of lives in a time period ans when that time period ends there lives reset. It doesn't matter if their stump is destroyed
Rabbits are a decent food source actually with a crock pot and drying racks, small jerky gives 10 sanity (can be useful in some situations such as fighting raid bosses in which shadow creatures can be annoying) and 8 health, also can be used as a backup for meatballs in larger worlds with many people in early game when there isn’t 5,000 monster meat on hand (though you do solve this quickly if you play the game right)
