Its the SOUL that makes you wanna cry, the message is strong but so are the messages in other churches outside of the black community. There is absolutely NOTHING that can compare to Black Gospel
You said something here...I think everytime I see these videos from people from other cultures, I'm so intrigued at how maybe they can't place where it's all welling up from..there is something very special and specific that informs our collective consciousness and experience on this land. The black American experience is very unique and idk many ppl outside of it understand the nuance and unspoken parts of it..
Yeah it's interesting isn't it how music can do that. I mean, I'm not totally ignorant to gospel music. Just mostly 😂. I think in the most raw sense, what moves me is (aside from the extraordinary tallent itself) the fact that I can hear the conviction, I can hear the anointing, I can hear the theatre of it. The cohesion and the how a relately large group of people can work in perfect unison to not only make such an amazing sound but can be so dynamic in how they lift and lower the energy and the mood depending on the message of the song and how they want the lister to feel. The way the choir directors use their hand signals to communicate such feelings. It's extraordinarily beautiful. That's what brings me to tears. Thank you for watching both of you ♥️

It's not the technically amazing things that get you in the gut. It is the emotional, heartfelt things that get you in the gut. It is that Holy Ghost anointing that gets you every time.
Ahh see for me it's not necessarily just heartfelt or emotional things. When someone is exceptional at something I get emotional. No matter what it is.
@@TheCharlieSmithChannel I feel it when people are exceptional at things but I don't have the emotions where it makes me cry. I do feel happy when I see a great technician performance. I think for me it is just such a different feeling with Gospel music because I grew up in church and have been part of a church choir and always loved it that these songs make me so emotional.
