A year ago you convinced me to do studies and on paper with ballpoint pen. I am self taught, didnt know better, and honestly it helped me so much that today I can actually find work. So these videos are always my favorite, you motivate me so much and I'm always excited every morning to do my warm up/study session.

Hey, you love maplestory ❤❤❤I saw your IG. Me too🎉🎉🎉. I still play Maplestory almost everyday. It is very relaxing to play with keyboard. I wasn't attracted to PS5 or Switch game. Maybe I'm just old school with my games. Looking Baldur's Gate 3, very nice but I not yet play. Drawing with ballpoint, wonderful 😊

I love your art, already have one artbook from you (3dpublishing) and I would love a book with sketches by you! I love it when you can still see erased lines and changes in artbooks. Some of the Disney/ Pixar Artbooks have that and somehow it makes the sketches more interesting (and let’s of all us that can’t practice enough see that even very talented people always have perfect pictures 😅).

I love that you treat digital as it should be. Just a tool and not a replacement for skill! I can't stand watching digital "artists" anymore. Generally the "art" is flat and has that similar/sameness to it since they all do the same simplistic process and don't actually paint. That's not the worst thing when watching them though. Watching them struggle with every single line since they are so inept with their pen that they have to ctrlz 5 times a second and have to warp the image constantly because they are incapable of getting their proportions down is ridiculous! "Artists" in name only and only because they call themselves that. The only time watching someone draw digitally is remotely enjoyable is when a traditional artist uses the digital tool to make art. Do they make mistakes and use correction? Of course. Not at the same ridiculously annoying rate as people who didn't bother to develop their own skill. Are there digital artists that can actually draw? Yes. Calm down Trigger. How much you wanna bet the majority of them have a real life pen and paper they like to use?

Yes to all of that. A year ago I wouldn't have agree with you, but drawing with a tool you cant erase is the best thing you can do to improve your skills and obtain that sweet line confidence.

@@megudo Agreed. I switched to only ball point pen for all my practice and at first it was embarrassing. After a few days I started taking more time to actually look at what I was drawing and thinking about where my lines were going. I made more progress in the first few months of using pen only then I ever did with any other studying. You are forced to focus. Doing anything in pencil now is a breeze.

They trace 3d models instead of actually learning anatomy I could understand why comic artist does that But when I see Illustrator does it drives mad

@@quit-rt4vzAnd you have to "constantly" buy overpriced art supplies because why exactly? I mostly practice with a bic pen and printer paper. In 2 years those cost me a whopping 14 dollars. I use both digital and traditional. I use Ohuhu markers Tombo markers. Arteza gouache and Windsor Newton water colors. I use Arteza mixed media to goof around with and I use Strathmore when I want to make something nice. I promise you digital cost me more by far. Yes occasionally I have to refill a marker or buy a new bottle of ink. Literally could make art for 15 years in tradition for what I paid for my Galaxy Tab and XP Pen. I doubt either of those will give me 15 years of use......
