This is an amazing work, your blends are awesome, and the way you use the colors are amazing. I have to be honest, I've tried to search videos related to gouache techniques in the past, and never got yours in the search results, I had to use a different search criteria, which is annoying as your video perfectly qualifies for a GREAT Gouache use demonstration... RU-vid tend to put in spotlight always the same 5 to 8 users, even if their videos are not specifically for the search criteria and they are NOT the best example. I know this has a year old, but I'll follow you to keep track of your work! Thank you for sharing!🎉
The Victorian set is beautiful even on the quick ones the simple details are in all the right places 😍 love them ❤ and the expressions on those are so fun!
Thank you very much for the video! Incredibly inspiring! This drawing is infinitely beautiful! And I'm so glad that you're finally showing your comic to the world! Finally it happened!❤🔥 Is it possible to see a video from you someday about your art tools and materials? I especially wanted to know about ink. About the ink drawing technique. You are so confident and masterful with ink! You always get the most beautiful lines with varying thicknesses! Every time I grab the ink, I get “ragged” lines and the ink runs out very quickly... Looking at your drawing, it feels like you only dipped the pen in ink once and draw the rest of the time without needing ink😂
do not worry abt the viewership, I’ve been noticing a lot of big youtubers getting really low views for like the past two months. It’s really strange but I want you to know that it’s happening to everyone so don’t feel bad!
i actually recently watched an artist called mizki i think thats how u spell it and they have an awesome way to defeat background insecurity haha, they basically make the characters and other things on different paper and then the background on its own paper and then just stick the character and some other bits and bobs on top, it seems really cool! maybe you guys should try it i think i will try it as it seems like it can help eliminate that fear of backgrounds
The show is AMC, actually, but I'm a fan of the books and I'm avoiding the show like the plague, they changed so many things and Anne was very particular about adaptions of her work being accurate to her books (if you know about the Exit to Eden movie with Rosie O'Donnell and Dan Aykroyd, you know). They also ruined the Mayfair Witches books and cut an entire character out completely.
Super late but kinda odd you already based an opinion without even giving the show a chance. I get loving the book to death but even the movie with Tom and Brad wasn’t what Anne truly wanted anyways. So far the show is spectacular for me even more with s2 already premiering. The actor who plays Lestat embodies Anne visions so much. Even the actor who plays Louis does it better then Brad. Of course we all have different opinions and interpretations.
COSMIC GIRL!!!! the way my mouth dropped seeing the Gloamingvale site! But those pages! UGH so stunning -i-i-i-ifjgfwisr I've already gone through the pages like 6 times just staring at the artwork its so beautiful!! I'm trying hard to wait till the full thing comes out so I can just buy all the chapters, I've always been curious about HaeJin's story so I'm really excited. IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!!! So many artists have their OCs living rent free in their heads for years and never get to making their stories but you did it and I find that super inspiring!! 🩵💖✨
i'm a big fan of the books too and recently tried to watch the new series and could not even finish it, it feels more like loosely inspired fan fiction than an adaptation
Love it. So creepy and sad and beautiful. And that background ink colour is so cool, like when you put it down it's blue, then when it dries its brown.
I was actually also inking an illustration while watching this video! We might even be using the same nib lol (manga G-pen), and miraculously I didn't make a single mistake while you were talking! And of course right as the video ended the mistakes came flooding in but by then I was done inking the character part so it didn't matter too much XD
Hey! Can you share where you order to make your stickers? The Netflix series is not great. I assume if you like something like Hannibal it has the same vibe, the vibe of feeling like watching characters having stockholm syndrome for many hours straight and the plot doesn't move an inch. I saw the whole thing and I only remember two things from the whole series. Very boring, very painful to watch, the book series are way better.
So beautiful! Thanks for sharing! And the public bits of your comic are gorgeous so far! I'm not sure if you would be interested in checking it out or not, but there was a graphic novel done called "Claudia's story" illustrated by Ashley Marie witter adapting the first novel from Claudia's perspective. From what I remember of it, it's pretty faithful to the source material. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future. 😊
Unfortunately I don't know the book series but Claudia looks so cute 😍🖤 It's always so relaxing to watch you drawing 🤗 It would be great and I would love it if you could maybe draw sabrina spellman 🥰🌹
I'm loving these draw-with-me sessions. Super fun to watch, relaxing, and inspiring! It's even better that they're relaxing for you! I also read the opening pages of the comic as soon as it was released and I loved it! I've been wanting to read an (Original) comic from you for years and I'm so happy you're finally in a position to create your passion project and I'm super excited to see where it leads! I'm in a position right now where I'm unable to comment on every single post you make, but know that I'm here supporting you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love comic too. Dragonball. Captain America. TMNT. Batman. A lot of japanese manga. Old school manga , especially Dragonball era. They are super charming.
Just wanted to say, re: Gloamingvale... my journey with developing a graphic novel/IP seems to be similar. I started mine ten years ago when I was really young, and started a rewrite a few years back. Got an offer from an agency and people I really looked up to. But then a difficult life event hit - my sight became very very bad, so I pushed it away. Progress has been scarce. Seeing your perseverance and strength, and love for your project has honestly helped. I so badly want to see mine through... I think I'm gonna keep trying. Been a fan since 2015. 💜
I have yet to experience the joy of drawing in one of those fancy sketchbooks Mine are just a bunch of paper that I've folded in half and stapled together
Honestly? You can draw anything you want, it's always a pleasure and a marvel to watch ❤ btw I totally get your feelings about social media, I ended up not posting at all, which Is only hurting me, but whatever XD I hope to come around soon like you did. Psyched for the new artbook and the comic release!
This is so pretty holy moly! Now I really want to buy ink for myself : 0 Question but, do you think you could achieve something similar using just watercolor? Id assume it would be less opaque, but I was just curious
Hehe, at this rate there will not be a sketchbook tour for like, 5+ years or something, and it will be “Hey here’s my sketchbook tour! We’ve got 7 books to go through because I JUST COULD NOT CHOOSE!” And I am totally here for it 😂
