This is amazing! I was just able to save over 1,000 dollars in 5 dollars this year. It does add up and amazed with how much one person can save with just 5 dollar bills.

That is fantastic. I did the $5 challenge for a year. It was supposed to be spending money for summer vacation, but no 2021 summer vacay, so I’m going to keep going for another year. After a year, I saved $1300 in $5’s. Now I want to try some other challenges. You are so inspirational!
I started the $5 dollar challenge just this past November. I don't have a time frame in mind, but at least through the rest of this month and all of 2021. This was such a cool video that is both fun and motivating. I might have to jump on that 12 month challenge. Thanks for sharing this video and great job!
So proud of you! I’m so happy you are making these videos and encouraging people that it’s not that hard to save money. It does take dedication and it really works. I love to save my $1 bills and also my $20s and I was able to save about $3,000 this year and that was still taking some out here and there. This is really motivating to know I’m not alone in this. I love that because you have been frugal and saving money you were able to help a loved one. Inspiring. My struggle is that I can save money no problem, but then I justify using that money for something I “need” or just dipping in to my savings because I know I can.

When you count the $5 bills, remember that there are 20 $5 bills in $100. Just count 1,2,3,4.......20. So much easier. Same for $10 & $20 bills. From one who counted out bills every night instead of sheep.

one trick i use from avoiding the fee for using the service at the grocery store, is you do not have to turn your coins into paper cash, you can simply just deposit the money into your bank account.
The coins roll them up n bring them to the bank they won’t charge you and you can get the rolls at a 99cent store or Amazon or your bank sometimes banks will give you the wraps for free if you ask

At coin star, if you get a gift card or gift voucher, they don't charge you a fee. Like, since you were gonna put it in your grocery fund anyway, next time check if a gift voucher was available for the grocer you normally shop at. Just a thought. They also have Starbucks and Amazon last time I checked, which is usually what I cash out with. Also, banks will give you coin roll papers for free so if you feel like rolling it yourself, your bank will probably take it directly. (I've been addicted to piggy banks for a while...)
One thing I personally like to do is count the coins and even put then in rollers and bring it to my bank. Where I live, coin master takes a fee. But I'm excited to start the extra money challenge:))

I did the 52 week challenge and the 5.00 challenge this year. I am rolling over the 52 week challenge money into the 100 envelope challenge ,which is giving me a good head start. I am also upgrading the 5.00 challenge to a 10.00 challenge for 2021 !!!
Here's a tip; invest half of that money and put it to work and see how much it will grow at the end of 2021. thanks for the ideas though, I will be saving with you.
Please consider rolling your own coins. You can get free wrappers from your bank. Its time consuming, but you get to keep all of it. Get the little ones in your life to help with counting and sorting.❤❤❤

My son takes change to our grocery store & it's free. If you have a bank you can take lose change inside, possible & they will run it to the change machine for you & its free sis!

I was supposed to start in 2020 and covid ruined it. Then as a covid cna I make around 23 an hr. But its agency, I cant find a ft position where I live. But your motivating me to save, I use to save $ but once I moved where I live now its hard as hell. The larger the city .. The less they pay you. Thanks for motivating me sis !
Personally, for me the fee is worth not having to wrap those suckers😂 Also, at my grocery store if you choose to get a store card instead of cash they waive the fee. Thought I would mention this since you said you were putting it toward groceries.

You should be able to roll your coins and take them to your bank to turn in for cash. Hopefully, this will help for 2021! Also, great idea, keeping your coins. This will help solve a problem I am having with my cash envelopes. thank you for the ideas!!
The Penny challenge is a fun one to do, and you’ll end up saving about $600. Also, I get coin wrappers from the dollar store and roll my change and then take it to the bank. It will save you a ton in fees. Congrats on the 2020 savings!
