This was my first attempt at making opal soap. It didn't come out exactly how I pictured it but overall I do like the results. What do you think? My favorite micas to use to make this soap were blue enigma and red enigma from nurtures soap. Those colors look so neat in melt and pour soap and they really mimic the shine that opal stones have. This is also my first attempt at making any kind of gem type soap. If you have any tips on how to make opal soap please leave a comment below. Opal is the October birthstone. Happy opal soap making! I also have some tips on how to make swirls in melt and pour soaps. I am using a single cavity round soap mold.
