Sounds like you had a great time! Such a great video!! You always entertain me! I have an autistic son also. He’s 30 yrs old now and things were tough at times, but he’s come a long way since first being diagnosed at five yrs old. I sometimes have issues reading autism rep books also. I’ll have to give Chloe Liese a try…

I ADORE your energy and personality and love for historical romance ! its making me want to check out historical romance and give it a shot instead of just reading Romantasy. Also im super jealous that you guys have these conventions were your from ! here in England we dont have this as much and there isnt many events that are based around books and reading and it sucks ! would love to come to one of these one day and just have my little mind blown lol ! Quite a few people warned me away from that convention because it's so big...but once I was there...I realized it was doable for me. I hope you're having a great week! 😃

Sounds like you had a great time. I attended Apollycon in 2019. I live in the DC area, so I loved that it was so convenient. I even went home in the middle of the conference to dump some of the books I had picked up before going back. Then Covid hit and they didn't do in-person events for a couple of years. In 2022, when they were putting tickets on sale for an in-person convention in 2023, I was right on the website at the time, but the tickets went like lightening. Couldn't get anything. I was so frustrated. In 2023, once again, I was right on the site when the tickets went on sale for 2024, and once again, they went so fast, I couldn't get one. (I seriously believe there are people who are using multiple computers and grabbing as many tickets as they are allowed for themselves and their friends.) It was just as well, though, this year I had a family wedding on that weekend, so I couldn't have attended. I'm not sure I will ever try again, even though I live so close to the event. (Maybe I should try what you did, even though that wasn't your original intention! LOL!) In any event, I had a good time the one time I was able to grab a ticket. Hope you are able to return.

Thank you so much for telling us your amazing book convention experience you convinced me to go in book festival that will happen in our country next year we would go with my book club that event will happen in capital and it is far away from where we live and is extremelly crowded and dont deal well with crowds fear of getting lost and like you after being long time with people i need to tune down but your amazing experience made me want to go thank you

How does someone get into going to book conventions? Is there a site that has them all listed? I'm very new to the book community and am looking for conventions to go to and friends to make!

YAY!!! You've just come into the best community in the WORLD!!! Oh I'm so excited for you!!! I've tried and tried to find a website that has all of the conventions listed, to no avail. Perhaps you could Google "book conventions near me" or "romance book conventions near me" as a start? If you Google "romance book conventions" they will pop up, but then it'll require a bit of scouring on your end to really find what you want. From there, it's figuring out how far you're willing to travel, how much you're willing to pay, etc. And these conventions often sell out a year in advance, which is crazy! I hope you find one! You'll have the BEST time! 😍🥳
