Loved hearing your experience. Just popping in to say I was on the second bookfluencing panel and have a (semi) active RU-vid! Booktube may be small be we are mighty 💪🏾😄
Sooo as someone who taught grad school in DC…yeah a $20 poke bowl is normal…and waiting for your Starbucks is a thing, so that’s why I always order ahead. Hopefully a little tip to help you next year do you’re able to snag tix ❤
I have leanred so many lessons from my various bookish events i mostly go to Ala and comic con and in the past book con and have those down to a system. it is def a process and i always try to go in with the mindset.. you cant get everything but just go for a fun time. it is alwaya better to go with friends. my next goal is to o to romacne focused singing.. those scare me lol :) but i am glad you had fun time!!
Also, saving the Sierea Simon vampire novella for TAR! I was eyeing that Elisha Kemp book all weekend, thinking I had time to buy it. No, it sold out shortly into the second signing Saturday!! 🥴 she gave me the second one in the series though so I need to get the first so I can get to that soon!!
I'm glad that you had a great time despite spending a lot of it in lines! There's a queer romance book convention happening in my city next year, and while the author announcements and such have been exciting, it's the first time the organizers are doing a convention so I'm nervous about it but hoping for the best 🤞
