Lately I've been using all kinds of different brands and my fav brands for eyeshadow are Tarte, Too Faced, Tom Ford and Cle de Peau in the West /Wakemake, Espoir & Dear Dahlia for Korean beauty. All different but all are easy to use w buildable mattes and pretty shimmers 😊Again still need to test Surrat. Chantecaille so far seems great too. I'm feeling over PMG and Natasha Denona and most indie. The typical aesthetic for these brands looks too heavy, overly made up or too complicated for me... And I don't wanna do it anymore 😅

😊❤Was waiting for this!! I picked up the Chantecaille rose tint, Sirena bronzer and gel foundation next to the Holiday collection 😅 I really love all the items honestly!! But my faves are the bronzer, rose tint, foundation and Crystal lipsticks. I think I would want to rebuy them if I ran out. I also picked up a quad and some singles from Surrat but haven't tested yet 😅and I finally got a Cle de peau quad in Warm Ocean Breeze. Plus I had finally picked up the Tom Ford Tiger eye quad and Chantecaille lion shadow. I got almost everything on good sales but it's a lot 😅everything I tried I really am happy with. Am hoping to do make up low buy this year. Focus on using my beautiful items. Are you still planning to do a declutter? You have really inspired me to be more mindful of all the make up hype and think more about what I like /how I want to do my make up. For too long I tried to do my makeup like I was seeing it on YT /buying stuff others used and I accumulated make up I don't think I want to use and doesn't fit my make up taste😢 so I'm wanting to do a thoughtful declutter now.

Yay!!! LOVE those Chantecaille products! ❤❤ I definitely would re-buy those if I ran out as well!! So good! You will have to let me know about the Surratt eyeshadows when you try them!! Hope you love them as much as I do! Haha - you did pick up a lot!!! But, all really good things!!!! Yes!! I actually filmed an empties video and mentioned my declutter there! Definitely will be filming that this year as I really want to bring that focus back to my channel on minimizing my collection with the best of the best products! Definitely a goal of mine as well to be more thoughtful and careful with my purchases, so I will definitely share that!! ❤

Hi Lisa! You've certainly influenced my makeup purchases for the last two+ years, and congratulations on the growth of your channel, btw :) My current favorite foundation is the one you recommended for summer, the Guerlain matte Parure foundation. Its has a glass like finish and lasts all day. I use the Sisley double tenseur primer under it(again recommended by you a long time ago). I use the givenchy bronzer though its not my all time favorite, but will use till finished. I just purchased Lash Clash, but haven't used it. So many products I use are recommended by you! (Chantecaille eyeshadow in copper,), chantecaille powder(the classic one). Keep up the great work!!! And yes bring your mom back please, you and her are fun to watch together! Question....what is your day to day handbag that you use ? You always have great taste Thanks!

My favorite to use for everyday is the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis or my Prada Galleria Saffiano Bag! - however, if I am being honest - I rarely use a handbag (unless I am out for an extended period of time) and I always throw things in my jacket pocket haha - sometimes I feel like I look overdone if I carry a handbag, so most times I don't even bring one lol ❤❤

Hi Lisa, yes revisiting 2022 favorites video is great idea. I bought the Surratt concealer and I removed the sponge applicator. This way it is less messy and I can control the quantity as well. Thank you for sharing your favorites.

Okay, what is your 2nd favorite pressed setting powder...because the CDP is sold out EVERYWHERE, sadly? I too have dry skin, especially during the winter months. Thank you!

Thank you so much Jill! ❤ I hope you love the Chantecaille Lotus powder as much as I do! ❤❤ It's so, so good! Oh no - soooo sad about the CDP powder :( I am scared they are discontinuing it!! Second favorite powder if the Sisley Pressed Powder (the blur expert powder!). If your skin is super super dry, the Westman Atelier powder is great as well!...but I can't use that one in the Summer, since it's a little too "hydrating" as a powder - great all the rest of the year though!

These are some great picks! It’s great to think about what’s day to day. Gucci mascara is my HG for the look and formula. Much better wear than YSL. I would also like for it to be available in brown! I’m always looking for concealers with coverage because my dark circles are my insecurity too. It takes over my face! But I need talc free. Spring and summer versions of this video would be fun.

I avoid any balm products because I have oily skin in the summer and combo oily in the cooler months and, I know from experience that the additional oils in balms will result in oxidation and products that don’t stay where they should. I haven’t tried the Cle de Peau pressed powder, but can say that the loose powder is really wonderful. Equally impressive is the Suqqu loose powder for any season. Koh Gen Doh is beautiful, too, but best in cooler months because there’s a very light oil component in it’s formula. Cle de Peau’s radiant foundation is a favorite in cooler months, as is Suqqu’s Foundation, which suits my oily skin better than Cle de Peau’s Foundation. Other favorites that I reach for time and again are the Sisley Cushion Foundation, Chantecaille’s gel foundation and Surratt’s foundation. Hotter months belong to the Surratt and Sisley cushion. Surratt provides more of a very soft matte finish and the Sisley, although glowy, does not transfer and continues to look great as the day wears on. Thanks for this fun video! I wish I could have tried the CDP loose powder, but they discontinued it before I got the chance - hopefully they will bring it back!! Thank you for those recommendations though - I have yet to try the Koh Gen Doh or Suqqu! Also, great to know about the Suqqu vs CDP foundation!! I really want to try, but it's so hard to find in Canada! Love your picks! You have amazing taste ❤ Definitely will have my Mom back on the channel as well!

Thanks for your video as always I love what & how you use your makeup products. About 4 tubes ago I bought the Chantecaille mascara (the one with the eyelash “boost”. Now my lashes look so healthy and long I hate to give it up so I’m going to switch brands every second tube. Unfortunately we lost Nordstroms so I’ll have to shop at Sephora & Holts, but such is life.

❤❤ oh yes, I am still so sad we can't access Nordstroms! I wonder if they will make it accessible to us at some point!! We used to be able to buy from them before they came to Canada, so hopefully we will be able to eventually - they just have such a great range and as much as I love Holts, I hate that they changed their shipping recently haha ❤

I have a somewhat angular face w high cheekbones. I do have bangs, which helps to soften my face…but I’m coming to realize if I don’t powder my face to some extent the glowy finish from my spf just highlights the angles of my face, in a not so flattering way! So I also reach for powder, even w my normal/dry skin. I really want to try Hermes’ bronzer but Atlas seems too yellow for me. You look beautiful Lisa❤

I think the sublimage in the jar is an under eye concealer, as opposed to an all over foundation! I was coming back to this video to watch for your thoughts on some products and noticed that. Thanks for the reviews 😊

They have a concealer and a foundation they’ve had forever in a jar. The sublimage le teint. The concealer is like sublimage de yeau or something like that I believe

This is the name of the concealer SUBLIMAGE LE CORRECTEUR YEUX. The foundation is sublimage le teint foundation. I got it from a dept store we have Nordstrom.

The Cle de Peau Refining Pressed Powder is my favourite and it's thanks to you Lisa. I'm a tad worried as well, seeing it has been out of stock here in Canada for quite some time ☹ I'd enjoy seeing your Spring/Summer version of this video. I'm in BC and in the Summer my makeup is quite a bit different than in the Fall/Winter (I definitely use a lot less product). All the best in 2024.

I keep scouring the CdP site - actually considering giving customer service a call to see what's what. I'm guessing it is just supply chain/shipping issues - fingers crossed. Hi Lisa, so glad you’re feeling better. I love knowing your all time favorites. I’m loving absolutely everything you’ve recommended (all on this list). Please give Valmont foundation a try, think you will love it. Hope you’re able to do a “how to/ways to use” the Chantecaille bronze face tint soon. It’s the only one I haven’t use much yet. Also hope to see your mom again soon, maybe makeup application on mature skin. Although your mom certainly doesn’t look her age. Happy New Year Lisa!

Ohh - great question - I actually have never tried it in flash photography!!! I don't think it will have flashback, but I am not 100% sure - I will look into it though! ❤

Lisa, I’m referring back to this video. Thanks again! Did you pick up the Chantecaille Cosmos collection? How is the cosmos highlight compared to the CdP? How is the Cosmos/Sirena bronzer compared to the Sisley bronzer? I’m lighter skin depth than you.

The Sisley bronzer is warmer and has a bit more of a sheen compared to the Cosmos/Sirena bronzer! The Sirena bronzer is a bit more neutral/beige in tone but they are both that baked gelee beautiful formula! ❤ And, the Chantecaille highlight is MUCH more subtle compared to the CDP highlight - the CDP highlight has more of that sheen on the skin, while the Chantecaille highlight from the Cosmos collection is extremely low key - almost a barely there invisible glow - it's gorgeous as well - just very different highlights! ❤

Too bad Surratt powder eyeshadows and blushes contain petrolatum (cheap mineral oil) and parabens (preservatives--long known to be harmful). You really have to watch Japanese made makeup brands--they tend to formula products with questionable chemicals. However, the new souffle eyeshadows seem to be a "safer" choice in his brand.
