Such an informative video. Thank you so much. I'd love to know a bit more about the payment systems at markets. How you take payments from customers? Should you do card only or a mix of cash and card? Best systems to use for paying by card etc? I haven't a clue about that side of it and it's kind of what has put me off considering doing a market myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Lee :)
Thank you lovely! And I'll do a video on it as it'll be easier to explain that way for you! But here's some rough info... It depends where in the world you are. Mainly here in the UK at markets there seems to be 2 main forms of payment - cash and card. In other areas of the world, e.g America, stallholders seem to accept a HUGE range of payment, so cash, card, venmo, zelle. It's a little daunting at first but it's actually very very easy to set up payments for markets. The card readers are very accessible and easy to set up and having a little money tin or bumbag/fanny pack is great. Some people choose to be completely cashless or only accept card but I'd always recommend having 2 as you never know if itll mean turning a customer away for not having one or the other. Like I said I'll do a video on it as it'll be so much easier to explain and talk through some of it 💖
I'm in Northern Ireland, so it'll be the same for me here. Fantastic information and thank you for doing a video on it. That would be incredibly helpful. Lee 😊
Hey, do you have a link to the table cloths you use? I have found some on amazon but reviews say they are too small for a 6ft table. Would prefer to purchase some i know will definirely fit ☺️ thank you!
Hi thanks for all the vlogs , I enjoy all of them thoroughly, I am a keen crafter I embroider on t- shirts and do lots of crouched plushies I tried the craft market in my town but they asked me to provide public liability insurance the value of 5 thousands pound which l don’t have and can’t afford do you need that in your market? Thank you .
Thank you lovely! All decent events and markets will require you to have public liability insurance. Event organisers will also have their own insurance and most insurance companies state that stallholders have to have their own insurance in order for the event organisers to be insured themselves. I pay around £65 a year but do loads of events so it's 100% worth it. There's plenty of other insurance companies out there that are as low as £20 for the year. This is a lot cheaper than if someone decides to take you to court and sue you! But I understand it's an additional cost to factor in and can get pricey. Have a little shop around and see what prices you can find! 💖
