Oh my gawd! You popped up on my explore page. I'm so glad to finally see a LatinX creator and vendor. I'm starting my own, centered around plantitas! I subbed!
The algorithm finally did something right! Subbed immediately! Gotta support my fellow latina creatives. 💕 Love your content! Wishing you all the luck in your business and I look forward to watching more!
Ahhh I’m so happy you have a RU-vid channel, hermana! You’re such an inspiration. Whenever I get a new laptop case, i get a Huevona sticker. I can’t tell you how many smiles I get when people see it ❤😂
Been doing popups since 2018/2019 ish for my jewelry & accessory brand… markets are tough at times especially during summers here in LA… the heat is killer but having portable fans helps so much. We also bring a portable generator (Jackery) to charge phones and other stuff especially there has been times I forgot to charge my lights lol. I love doing night markets just cuz its a different vibe but sometimes its alot more tiring with all the setup & breakdown
I am the type of person that goes straight to the stickers/stationery. I am in the process of getting my crochet shop up soon and I hope to get some stickers of my art in the shop this year too. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your video, had to subscribe! ❤
Yeah girl! Keep it up. I wanna start selling at markets too. So far I have inventory, but I gotta get the guts. I'm in the south bay area of LA, so maybe ill eventually sell at a market ur at.
Usually markets I do will give out set-up info at least a week to 4 days before. I'd consider taking cash to markets. I usually take out $50 and keep track of what items people paid in cash manually.
I've NEVER been to a night market - guess that's not so popular over here... ^^ Nevertheless, thanks for sharing this experience and it motivates me (as a fellow introvert) to try out extrovert-y things instead of staying at home. That was a great reminder that others struggle with familiar things like I do. THX ❤
The market coordinators typically let vendors know details about the day and placement a few days before. But they definitely should have contacted you guys first about the time change. I've only done markets during the day! Idk if I'm ready for night markets haha. It's just more equipment to buy and carry 😆
I'm running an outside market for my non-profit organization. We starting emailing vendors once a week two months before market giving them updates on where we've advertised and information they need to know. We did a featured post of each vendor on our social media starting a month before the market. The Monday before the Saturday day of market, we sent the final vendor map and our cell phone number in case they had questions. It's small, 25 booths.
Hii 🙋♀️ love your things😍 just subscribed!! I also have a small business! Where did you get your lights ? I love that they’re magnetic and can stick on the canopy ! I’m doing a poo up this coming Sunday and they would be Amazing 😊
The organizer should send you ALL the details minimum two weeks before the event. Some markets that are every single week will contact you a week in advance. But two days is sketchy and insane. So is changing the time?! Especially because of all the light prep you had to do. I suggest replacing the glass in your frames with plexi or just remove it. One strong (inevitable) gust of wind will shatter them. Amazon sells "inventory control clips" which fit on most metal pegboard hooks! Helps with the wind. Love love your brand though, the colors are awesome! Subscribe!
Oh yeah, I definitely have peg hook stoppers in my cart for next time! And omg, thanks for your comment -- the timeline for the next market I did with this group was even tighter if you can believe it!
I follow you on Insta but just found you on here...i like these videos. I do my fair share of markets but have done less of them recently just because they are getting to be more expensive. i always go for a 10x10 and my setup is similar to yours with the L-shaped tables. Hope to vend with you soon. Good Luck
