Great video and very thorough explanation so thank you! I I have a couple of questions for you? 1) If you were to submit an autograph card i.e. VICTOR WEMBANYAMA 2023-24 TOPPS CHROME AUTOGRAPH ROOKIE CARD, would you select (Autograph Dual service) or is this not required since they autograph was printed by Topps? 2) If I want to do a multisubmission, i.e. a list of 20 cards at the $18.99 (declared value up to $500) tier because of the declared value of those cards, and another submission with 5 cards with a declared value above $500, how can you do that so you end up with 1 label to be printed out and stick it on the box? Thanks!

Sounds like you want the dual service. (CONGRATS IN THAT WEMBY AUTO!) From PSA’s site, it says, “What if I want both the autograph and card/ticket authenticated and graded? By selecting the Card and Autograph Dual Service, both the quality of the card/ticket and autograph will be notated on the label with individual numerical grades on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being best. This service is available for most licensed autographed cards, regardless of the era, whether the card came direct from a manufacturer or was signed afterwards. As part of the service, each signature will be certified by our autograph authenticators prior to assigning the numerical grade, so you get the best of both worlds from the world’s leading brand. 2. For a multiple submission, you can send them in the same box, but wrap your separate packing lists around each order individually. Then on the outside of the box, write both order numbers on several sides of the box. Good job, Juan! Thanks for watching! Oh, also, don’t do the pull tabs like I suggested!!!!! They came out and said they will charge a fee for those. They changed.

Psa has a machine that practically surgically cuts the card saver/team bag if u have one. The pull tabs was a good idea during covid when card savers were hard to get. There's no need to use them now.

Good to know! Thank you for sharing that! Did you used to work at PSA?

@DavidGonos not me personally. As a former trading card vendor, I know ppl who used to work and still work for psa/Beckett, etc. This was explained to me on a few occasions. Also, they'd talk about the things ppl still do that they hate, lol. Sending cards in toploaders with no sleeve, just sleeves no other protection, bundling multiple cards in just team bags, and of course the pull tabs. I always sleeve, put in card saver, and team bag it. Sometimes the team bags will cause a 5%-10% extra charge, but I don't care about that.

New update from PSA this week: no tabs on the penny sleeves in a submission. Make sure you read the new disclosure agreements and regulations/rules for PSA.

Do you have to be a PSA club member to submit cards? I have lots of cards id like to grade but don't have 300 to just drop at one time. I have a beautiful flawless 90 Topps Griffey. Also ive always wondered why is that card in a 10 more valuable than his rc? Any info from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Love the videos
@DavidGonos
@DavidGonos 4 месяца назад
Yeah, you have to be a Collector’s Club member to submit cards, unfortunately. My guess is that Griffey’s ‘90 Topps card is much tougher to get in mint condition because of the colored borders, compared to the white bordered 1989 Topps Traded card, but I’m not positive. Good question! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I'm getting ready to make another submission to PSA also, this was a great refresher on how to do it. I wanted to get your thoughts on a new approach idea I had, I was thinking of leaving a thank you note and maybe a Starbucks gift card along with the submission, would you think that's okay? I figure it couldn't hurt. I just want to make sure the grader is having a good day!
@DavidGonos
@DavidGonos 4 месяца назад
It’s a good idea, but from what I understand, the people who unbox it are one group, then it goes to Research and Identification, then to the grader. So the person you’d like to schmooze is the grader, and that gift card would be long gone by then, taken by someone who can’t help your grade. So if I were you, I’d buy myself a beer for when your grades come back, just to take the edge off of possibly harsh grades! Haha

Hey bud. I thought you were a BLACK TIE GUY. I’ve heard PSA is getting the cards back quicker. Hope they’ve loosened up a little with grading scores

Since they’re owned by the same company, it doesn’t really matter any more. I do have some I plan to send to SGC tho!

PSA cuts the side of the card savers to get them out. Putting any type of handle or pull tab on the card is a complete waste of time. They aren’t going to pull a card you submitted for grading and risk damaging it.

Good to know! How did you find this out?
@cjz1995s

Last year psa at a conference told the public to stop using pull tabs. Not sure if they released it to there website but they should make it more clear
