Good lord this was a huge sub!!! Congrats on all the great grades and added value. I hope to get some new reveal videos up soon. You gained a new subscriber.
PSA videos are probably my favorite ones to do. Still relatively new to that side of the hobby. I'll be sure to check some of yours out and learn a thing or two. Thanks for checking out the vid!
Congrats on all those great grades. Even if I pull a nice card, there's always surface issues like dimples, scratches, print lines and centering. THANKS PANINI! I hope Topps and Fanatics do a better job than Panini has been doing. Especially with centering!
Luckily PSA does at least give an allowance up to 60/40 centering on front/back before they dock you on a grade. I'm about to do a submission. I wish PSA did the subgrades like Beckett so I'm reserving some cards to send to them instead.
PSA does have grader notes on Express and higher. I think the plan is to move that across all levels eventually but I could be wrong. Fron my experience lately, PSA pays more attention to eye appeal on centering than strictly 60/40. Might just be me. Subs can be such a subjective experience depending on the grader. Goodluck on you sub!
That was cool to see. I’m amassing some to send but I’ve never sent any off and not sure I have to stones to do it. It’s a total foreign process to me.
It seems daunting, but it's really not. There's some good youtube videos out there on pregrading. My best advice is when you'rer looking at a card, find a reason not to send it in. Look at centering, surface(print lines, dimples, dents), edges, and corners. Both front and back. Make sure you have plenty of light. A ring light preferably. Some sort of magnifying device helps, too. If you find a flaw, dont send it in. The exception is if it's a card that doesn't sell for much raw, but a lot as a 10. My second best advice is to keep your first submission small. Just enough to get your feet wet.
Great submission! A lot of cool cards! Congrats on that Wemby 10! Huge card! Bet you were excited when you got the up charge email. Overall great gem rate and video. Thanks for sharing!
Are you grading to sell now or investing to sell them later? If now can you do another video about the ACTUAL profits? Hypothetical profits that aren't actually what the cards sell for is a great way to drive up the prices of unopened boxes.
Some for the PC, some to sell, and some to hold. I pull my estimated value from past sales. They aren't hypothetical but prices people are currently paying. I'd disagree in framing it as hypothetical. I will say all prices are subject to future change as the market is fluid. And the estimated profits don't include applicable fees if sold on an online platform. You do raise a good video idea to do an update financial breakdown when items are sold. That might take awhile though. Thanks for the comment!
Pretty awesome submission friend! 🔥 Congrats! 🎉 Man that Elephant Courtside is pretty as hell! 👀 Love that Phoenix orange Seismic too! Do you have any graded RPA’s? If so, what’s your best/favorite? Go Bills! 🦬
Thanks man! I don't grade RPAs or thick cards in general. So hard to gem. It's generally a losing battle imo. I'm happy to put them in a mag holder. Look just as good on display.
Congratulations on those 10's. My thought process on grading is always changing on should I grade to keep for my PC ex wemby, stroud which I probably sell 5-10 years eventually. Or should I grade for a little bit profit hopefuly & are grouped in categories for example do I hold guys like scoot , Bryce Young another year or 2 or move guys ex, melo who I thought have shown potential but is too injury prone just to move just to make more room for the pc
If there's hype, I'm a sell now guy. I do treat NFL and NBA players a bit different. NFL guys rarely develop and pop 3 years after being drafted. NBA guys take a bit of time to develop. Think of the guys that rookies that didn't live up to the hype vs the ones that exceeded it. Collect what you want, and don't sweat the rest. Selling/trading is part of the hobby to enjoy.
@huxbux sweet video and cards!where do you buy raw from? eBay? Have you found small small dimples on front to be an auto 9 or is there sometimes grace.? Thanks!
Mostly from ebay. I've found a small dimple that isn't in a prominent location like on or right next to the player can pass as a 10. More than one small dimple, most likely a 9. A large dimple will probably ding you 1 grade. A fisheye dimple, probably 2 grades.
He's on a pace that I'd think turns into a conversation. But I'm not a die hard soccer guy. I'd think Haaland's game won't age as well as Ronaldo's. Thanks for watching!
