My husband and I got married at 18, we will celebrate 15 years in June! When I look back at wedding photos, I remember thinking I couldn’t love him more. Now, almost 15 years later I love him so much more! Time flies, and God is so good!

The chair made me think of when you have teens. My teens love coming to us in the evening after a busy day and talking to us. Rehashing their days, thoughts, dreams and struggles. They usually sit on the bed or on the floor (depending if they are back from a sporting event where showers are needed first) but I love the idea of having a cozy chair in my room for my kids to come to and share their hearts with us. I love the romantic space you’ve made but it also looks like a safe space to share your hopes and dreams as your kids come to that point in their lives 💛

I love this! We have a small loveseat and two cozy chairs in our room, too! It technically is a bit crowded, but I wouldn't change it for the world. It is our kids' safe space and where their most important conversations occur.

This video did something for me. My husband and I will be married a year in the 25th. We’ve lived in an apartment and recently moved to a bigger apartment which has been so nice. We’ve been slowly making our room, our space. Your video has not just given me inspiration but also seeing the sweetness of your relationship reminds me that no matter your space, creating your room as a haven for you and your spouse is so nice and would say important!

Before Weston said about having a cigar in there I was thinking the room has what in the uk we call a gentleman’s smoking club vibe. I just love how you take your time to plan everything out. I'm 30 and I also had a French proverbial themed bedroom furniture as a kid, with this kind of set that was white with the gold theme. My parents had thrifted the bedroom set where it was a it was a twin bed, a desk with a hutch for my books and a dresser. Sadly we sold the set when times were hard for my parents and I was transitioning to my teens, so seeing this style and you repurposing these pieces to give it new life in your adult bedroom brings so much joy. While I'm not married or have kids, I just moved into my first home in 2023 and watching your videos is like having an older sister help give advice for decorating and learning how to thrive, live a simple, mindful and purposeful life and I'm so glad I found your videos. 🥰

When you first showed the paint color my eyes got really big. I like light open rooms. But I LOVED how this turned out. The space really allows for the dark walls and ceiling. It feels like it all just fits now. Loved the videos.

I love it. You made it as you dream, it could be. For me is a little dark, because we, here, are used to white or an ivory color to get the temperatures of home a little fresh. But yours looks great, its for been there the hole sunday, at bed doing what the most lovely thing with our husband, or family as well. Enjoy each inch of what you had done. I love how you left the inside of the bookshelf lighter - really pretty! One thought on the nightstands: if you find that the tops don’t hold up well or are just not great due to somewhat high traffic, it could be nice to sand just the tops and use the same stain as the bookshelf on them. Two tone, you know? Anyway, ENJOY! It’s a beautiful space and all your vintage finds are so lovely!

that’s a great suggestion! Unfortunately, the tops are not made of wood, but rather fiberglass, and this isn’t possible, but I did spray on a high gloss, hardening lacquer that has held up pretty well! No complaints yet

I haven't tried it yet and don't know if you have, but this scenario makes me think of this neat paint product I recently learned of called Re-tique it that can create a wood grain look really well. Oh, Sweet Sweets, I love your French Provincial childhood nightstand! Bonnet is the brand. It was sold at Sears. I bet you did feel like a princess when you were young. Because I never had that really girly, little princess bedroom when I was young, I find myself really attracted to this furniture. And I am in my 60's. Pitiful, I know! lol. I shared my bedroom with an older sister who saved everthing! To much clutter for me. Other times I shared my bedroom with my younger sister. Bless her heart! She was a tomboy! I probably don't need to describe that room to you! I just wanted to say your nightstand is not gaudy! It is really nice! Let me get back to the rest if your video to see what you do. it looks so good!! The only thing I think would change is the rug placement. It looks a little odd placed like that, I'm used to seeing rugs laid down under the end of the bed horizontally. I'm seriously considering color drenching my bedroom now.

This is a truly beautiful room!! I’ve been watching since right before you had Hailey and I got teary eyed watching you talk about your wedding pictures 😂😍 I may be off but I feel like the little sconces should be above the bed frame so they show up better? And the nightstands centered under the windows. But maybe this doesn’t work in real life? Absolutely stunning color and decor! I also love that little armchair. Beautiful! My favorite things are the desk/vanity and your wedding photos. You both are still babies! My husband and I are at the grandparent stage. Time flies. All of our kids are grown (40, 34 & 31) and we now have 8 grandkids to spoil (ages 17 months to 16 years old).

Yes! They're definitely a brown-toned earthy shade so less Christmassy with the green walls than the first impression may have given! Colors are so hard to capture and have translate across all cameras and devices/screens!

The bedroom has a warm and romantic old world charm to it. Colors and pieces I would have never picked out myself however it is very pleasing to the eye. We are finally going to be working on our bedroom this year. We’ve had 4 kids and are almost done renovating the room our 1.5 yr old will move into. Next it’s our turn. We shared our room A LOT of 8 years, especially with our almost 4 yr old who co slept for a few years due to medical trauma. I am so so ready to redo it and make it romantic for us. Our whole house is French provincial furniture! We found them on marketplace and redid them. Tops are black and the rest is white. Absolutely love it! ❤

Such a cozy bedroom, love that you hung your wedding pictures up! If you are ever rearranging the furniture, I suggest putting the bed on the wall where the reading chair is now. That way the headboard and lamps would get more breathing space, instead of being squeezed between the windows.

Oh my goodness…we painted our bedroom and ceiling the same very dark color and we absolutely love it! When my husband saw your new moulding he was disappointed that we didn’t think of the same thing. You guys did an amazing job, congratulations on your new bedroom!❤️

Love the colour & agree it’s very Ralph Lauren like another viewer said. The desk is stunning. Wasn’t sure about the mirror 🪞 at first but once up it goes well. As an avid reader I can’t imagine not reading would love to see your Anne of Green Gables books .

I stopped and came to comments to say ruining the plastic in front of the nightstands turned out the happiest accident! They look much more of a classic piece than the overdesigned french provential look. I loved them more like that and all black makes them really chic 😍

This room is Devine and so beautiful but elegant as well. Love all your attention to detail. Love all the thrifted and DIY pieces up cycling as well. Love the reading nook and space for you both to enjoy each other. Super important indeed in any relationship. I will be setting up a prayer space in my walk in robe. Don’t have enough for reading book yet but one day this will be in our master when we buy our forever home. 🏡 ❤
