I agree. I'm literally gonna cry about the fact that they hate my favorite book. Like dude the Hunger Games is what really got me into reading something other than my mystery novels
@@Ellie_2007 Yeah, I respect their opinion but Divergent over THG really lost me.. Divergent is an okay read if you're really bored but it's poorly written and the worst out of all of these imho
The last two weren’t just katniss deciding who to kiss! She was running through the capitol, stuck in the quarter quell, AND trying to keep everyone alive
For real! *spoiler* Don't forget her choosing not to shoot President Snow, and instead the other lady who just wanted to take his place as the new dictator!
Exactly!! This person really missed the point of the series, which honestly proves that all anyone mostly wants to focus on now is the romance aspect, which is disappointing :(

yeah, sometimes the characters are bland. and I respect your opinions, but I just can't agree. Divergent, just the first book, wasn't horrific. That is really the best I can say for the series
"The Hunger Games" is an excellent saga. The characters are very well written, the story is gripping, the concept cool. And the recently released Snow prequel is amazing!
Honestly, I think it’s a little overrated. I mean, I really like the concept but the last book just feels like she’s just going insane, a little boring in my opinion 😭
@@EchoSong133its not her gping insane. Its grief and regret. Towards the end all the sitting and crying did get a lottle boring but without it the grief wouldn't be as realistic or relatable.
I’m pretty sure when I was little I saw my family watched it but I don’t think I payed much attention so I did not fr watch hunger games or maze runner but I watched hunger games again in January it was so good, and I wanna watch maze runner now, but I have like no streaming services- I use cable 😅 I started reading hunger games summer break before 5th it was soo good. (P.S I am still in summer break before 5th grade but I finished the series but I’m reading prequel and then after gonna read maze runner, I already love maze runner but uhm, I kinda spoiled it for my self by watching lots of maze runner edits. Hanger games= book that got me reading and I will always remember Maze runner= I’m not sure about how I feel, I didn’t finish, and I just forgot to much now to finish. Pretty good tho Divergent= AMAZING hands down all around was weird in some scenes for my 11 yr old self, but I’m currently reading insurgent and I love it so much!!

For me personally I love Divergent after I recovered from the end. Like it's still kind of a love hate relationship bit now I get why the author did what they did.
I’m currently reading The Maze Runner series (I’m half way though The Scorch Trials). I get some of the characters are annoying but Newt. I rlly hope you don’t think Newt is annoying.
My options on these books! Divergent: I remember I was staying at my aunt’s, I had just finished reading Harry Potter (the book that got me into reading) and I needed something else to read. I saw Divergent sitting on a shelf, read the back and decided to read it. My brothers were at a dance competition and so during all the dances (expect theirs) I would zoom through that book. I convinced all the girls in my class to read it that year. 10/10 Hunger Ganes: I agree, I kinda forced myself to love it because it was a dystopian novel. I didn’t get attached to the characters. I finished the whole series though. 6/10 Legend: I haven’t read it yet but am super excited to! ?/10 Maze Runner: I loved it! But I felt like it went downhill from the first book. Escaping the maze was a lot of fun, but the virus and WCKD was not. I still have a crush on Newt. 8/10
Legend imo- Fast pace and really interesting on how the MC interacted with other characters and her environment. Marie just made June super strong and smart from the beginning, which I thought I wouldn’t like because books generally require development, however her mental and emotional development was insane. Personally I loved it. The ending, after champion before rebel, might have you mulling over it for a while. That being said, Life After Legend, though very short, healed my heart. Not only that, Rebel supposedly has an adorable ending but I can’t get my hands on it rn. 5/5 from me, which is absolutely insane because I originally DNF’D the series. Came back, and now I’ve been in a book hangover for many, many days. Can’t get it out of my head. The other MC, the MMC, has a really interesting backstory, even though it’s actually pretty simple. The way their relationship grew was insane, because though they had something from the start, it was interesting to read exactly how weary they were of the others decisions, but loved eachother enough to listen. Yes, Prodigy, this is about you. Much growth imo, and I could talk about it for hours. The last thing that I would say did take away from the series was how Marie Lu skipped over Day and June healing from their trauma in the same way Eden did. She was just like “oop time skip”
Wasn't hoping for the spoiler but I wasn't really planning to read on, as people said The Maze Runner gets boring after the first few books, and I'm glad I didn't. Newt was literally my favorite character smh. All the good ones end up dying.

My opinion on divergent: Divergent is such a thrilling book. It draws you in the very first page. The writing was captivating and engaging. It's been a year since I finished the series, and I still think about it everyday. It has a brilliant plot and creative characters. It had the perfect amount of action, and romance tied into each book. Although many people tend to dislike the book because of it's ending, I truly think the ending was fit for the series. Veronica Roth did a fantastic job with this series. If you love dystopian action filled books like me I 100% recommend.
I just hated divergent 😭 I love dystopians but I felt like divergent had some rly weird underlying messages and I hated like all the characters. I read insurgent and I could not carry on and it was sad cos I rly wanted to like it :(
I loved maze runner. But it definitely depends on when you read it. I read it in 5th grade and I think that’s the perfect time. I doubt I’d like it if I read it now
Divergent was the book that got me into reading and I LOVE Four!! I am actually currently re-reading Divergent lol!! Hunger Games is the book I read after and personally I love it along with Peeta!!
I'm currently reading the book. Me and my mom were talking about the first book compared to the movie and all tho both were good we liked the book more Because they left a lot out in the movie.
@@Spider-frog28 but they also added more that wasn't in the books, which is why you should read both the books and watch the movies because then you get the most information. Def liked the books more though.
Honestly, I really liked the plot. The author managed to make an interesting dystopian, IN MY OPINION, that got you rooting for the characters, while also showing how consequences must be faced for people's actions and how a dystopian really isn't perfect. I liked the decisions Katniss was forced to make in the end, and I also love how the prequel was able to tie everything together and give you a new perspective on the books.
The only thing I can agree with is that I am emotionally invested in the "Legend" series, I cried so much - especially in the epilogue when they meet each other and Day can't recognize June! This really destroyed me even after my tenth run ): I feel like it is very important to add that "The Maze Runner" and "The Hunger Games" were very good as well.
Some other good book series for those who like these books: -The Mortal Instruments -The Darkest Minds -The Dark Artifacts(the sequel to the Mortal Instruments) -Eragon (this one’s more of an older medieval type series but I really enjoyed reading it) I can’t think of any more right now but I’ll add to it later if I think of any more :/ Happy reading!!
Lmao the divergent is literally the cringiest thing i've ever read 😭 I didn't love Katniss that much (the concept, the plot and the other characters were all almost immaculate tho) but she was definitely better than the main character of divergent (I say "main character because I don't even remember her name 😭)

Maze Runner was fabulous (Thomas might be a bit annoying but still good) Divergent was so great, the ending was heartbreaking The first Hunger Games was good, the last two were meh Legend is pretty good
Day is one of my favorite characters that I have ever read in a book. What you hate about him, I genuinely don’t know. There is very (and I mean VERY) little to hate about him
Hunger games is abouslutly the most beautiful thing ever. That's all. You know it's fine to hate gale but peeta. Did you even read the second book or the third? Katniss is a deep character that I love. The plot was amazing and no one is forced to like it you are a magnet and the book is the fridge. I know it your option, so you can believe it. I loved the books you chose to read.😄we're all different though.

OMG THIS BROKE ME ahhh!! i haven’t read divergent or maze runner but i have read the hunger games and legend, i love them so much, and i love peeta and day but gale on the other hand….
I like hunger games apart from the writing of the romance. I like Peeta as a character, his relationship with Katniss is just criminally written. And Gale? I swear the author wrote the start of book 1 then forgot about him.
Lol, the romance was a bit forced. I really liked The Hunger Games series though. But when Suzanne Collins brought Gale back he was like a whole other person (which I guess was the point, but still).
Gale was kind of a cruddy character tho?? Not to mention he was kind of at fault for Prim's death. It's also stated that Katniss never really had any apparent feelings for him, but agree to disagree 🤷♀️
