I want to mention that both the book thief and the fault in our stars(plus the hunger games I guess) are very sad books, read with caution(the book thief is SO good though)
Hiii!! So I've been considering the selection, would you say the age rating here is accurate!! I get nervous trying to find new books but this seems like a good option!!
Hello! Can you tell me if Six Of Crows has any of these things! 1. Spicy scenes 2. Demon worship And can you explain what it is about! Not everything like for example “it’s about a mystery murder”
@@elysiacavaiani124 Hii so there is kissing is SoC but nothing very spicy as I remember. I don't rly know exactly what you mean by demon worship but I'm pretty sure there's none of that either. It's basically like fantasy heist with a group of teenagers, I really recommend it it's my favourite book of all time!
@@elysiacavaiani124 it does not have either of those things, and it is about a group of 6 teenagers going on a mission to help save the world of a devastating drug called Jurda Parem. That is putting it simply. There is a decent amount of violence, so if you are sensitive to stuff like that, be careful
Literally The Hunger Games books and the Six Of Crows duology ( Six Of Crows and Crooked Kingdom )are my two favorite book franchises ever ( yes Ik Six Of Crows is part of the grishaverse but the two books about the crows are 100% the best books in that universe )
Divergent is pretty good for younger kids.. but you might want to hold off on reading it because of the contents of the sequel (I think it was allegiant); it has some pretty descriptive scenes
The fact that most of those books I read at a way younger age then suggested 💀 But actully I like reading Teen/YA because I love romance with some aciton For example, I read Six of crows and the hunger games when I was 9 and the Book Theif when I was 11
@@legendary.was.momentaryHonestly same, you will not catch me crying in public (unless it's very bad) but books just hit me hard every time. I mean I sobbed for hours after the book thief and I am unashamed to say that.
Just to let everyone know the fault in our stars is very sad so I wouldn’t recommend if ur looking for a happy uplifting book but other than that it’s a great book
@@strnlofreak no, my friend also thought it was sad (we did a book club type thing except we read it together on FaceTime) and she cried towards the end. I agree it is an amazing book. I just am not very emotional, and I apologize if you took my previous comment as rude.
Oh no no I didn’t take your previous comment as rude and sorry if mine came off as rude I was js saying that it may not be sad I may js be very emotional
@@strnlofreak no no, I didn’t take it as rude, but sometimes I say things that I don’t realize are rude and then only find out after someone says something
The fault in our stars has a sex scene in it so the age rating for it really depends on how comfortable the parents are with their child reading that. I know people who wouldn’t let their 13 year old read it.
I would like to comment that some of these books are for mature audiences because of the sad story plot, and some have vulgar words. So read in CAUTION! But these books are phenomenal especially The Hunger Games!!!
The hunger games, divergent, the fault in our stars and Percy Jackson all came out waaay before TikTok even existed. Those are not "BookTok books" TikTok just made them re-surge into popularity.
Heyy so I want to know something because I like REALLYYY wanna read the inheritance games and six of crows but I wanna know if it's appropriate enough for a 12yo...
I read six of crows at 11 and it was pretty appropriate in my opinion. It did have alchohol, gambling, weapons, and covered some darker topics, but it was still my favorite book for a very long time.
Yep. Cause the Book Theif and All the Bright Places both carry very heavy topics, like made me cry topics. Edit; Now that I’ve read Caraval I also agree with that one.
I think that all of these ratings are very accurate except The Inheritance Games.....i think that honestly a mature 11 year old can read it but it depends on the person. Love the vid tho!!!!
