He has a 9.86 RAS which makes him the 3rd most athletic TE in that draft... and more athletic than Kittles or Kelce and he ran a 4.6 forty, which is blistering for a TE. He's easily the most athletic TE on the roster, just has to be healthy to show it.

Solari is doing everything that he can to give Hoffman a leg up in the competition for center between he and Cooper Beebe. Hoffman with the 1st team is giving Dak an opportunity to get used to and like his ass better. Literally and figuratively. We see what's happening. Time for Beebe and Guyton to get some occasional reps with the 1st team.

I must be the only couch coach that thinks our run blocking sucked last year?? The offensive line was not championship level , I know some guys were banged up but still this is the Cowboys! Looking forward to seeing the young guys.

@jesset2504 I don't think you need a superstar running back but we have the worst running back room in the league by far. You just don't need to spend 10+ million a year. We could have drafted one. We could have signed zack moss even. The garbage we are putting out there is laughable

@@operadoc I'm confused cause most were riding Rico saddle at the end of last season. I don't know too much about the others other than watching Dueces college tape and Hunters preseason game. Ok Zeke short yardage! Snoop, The rookie Pete and Malik Davis if he is still on the team. I'm missing one but Ok combine the leftover running backs that make the 53 into one! All of them can't be that bad especially if the O-line is what we think it could be this year. You watch how the narrative turns by the middle of OTA's.

The salary cap has nothing to do with Jerry’s personal finances. It’s not like Jerry says “I’m not giving Ceedee and Dak an extension because I wanna buy my side piece new boobs and a Bentley” It doesn’t work that way.

@jesset2504 it's not the cap. It's the way teams spend signing bonus money or move money around that let's them spend more in a particular season. The owners will wrote big bonus checks. Jerry didn't want to write big checks any longer

Our O.L. improves when Edoga no longer wears the Star. Asim needed an offseason in the weight room we all knew that. I'm thinking when the pads come on it will be Guyton, Smith, Beebe, Martin and Steele. Richards may compete with Steele in the long run if Steele is not better more consistently. I love the competition of Bass/Beebe and Hoffman for I.O.L. Martin won't be practicing a lot, may miss some games and his last yr on his contract. Unless there is a miracle im pretty sure Ball and Waletzko are gone Edoga needs to be. Thomas the O.T. we drafted this yr is better than Edoga. Personally I'm fine with our R.B. room if they stay healthy and the O.L. run blocking is a lot better more consistently. Dowdle was better than given credit and top 3 or better in yards after contact. He can bust a 40+ now and then. Luepke may get a bigger role this yr catching out of the backfield plus power running. I think he can bust a 40+ now and then. With our T.E. room we can put a lot of pressure on any L.B. /Secondary that helps the run game. The way coach uses T.E. we could see an even bigger season from Jake if he can get out more and not having to help protect Dak. For those who got mad at our draft of a D.E. now you know why. Hopefully next yr we draft D.L. front 7 early and often if its close at B.P.A. I'm going D.L. inside/out. Armstrong i really hated to see him leave and now letting Land go to keep Gallimore is really showing up IMO. Maybe Sam needs a coach like Zimmer maybe a lot of our guys need Zimmer. We will see during camp

Schoonmaker ran a 4.6 and has an RAS of 9.86. Ferguson runs 4.8 and has an RAS of 5.81. Schoonmaker is easily the most athletic TE on the roster and has the most potential, now he just has to realize it.

Both of yall. If you think someone who has played one full year of football since 2020 is ready, you don’t know how this works. Trey is raw, and was drafted as a project, but got mismanaged and then hurt. Purdy came in as a 4 year starter and fit his way into the system. Two years from now Trey will be more than fine if somebody gives him the development time every qb needs

I dont think that the Defensive guys might not be “good enough” i think that they weren’t “focused enough”. BECAUSE the Dan Quinn administration didnt have hard asses. Usually a coaching staff on O or D will have a few “tough guy” coaches. And i just feel like we were missing that with the DQ administration. Thus, players lacking focus

Ant art you guys spending so much time talking about the tight end room when we have a very good starter while we don't have s running back or a defensive tackle and our side receiver room is thin. And we have no qb under contract for 2025. And we still have the lamb contact and parsons up in the air. The te room is the least of our concerns. This front office is a travesty

Love both guys doing the interview, but I always listen with caution because Broaddus every year looks at something and always has a bad feeling about a specific player or group! Every year! There’s always something. While others tell everyone about the positive things, Broaddus just can’t let his perceived negativity go. He almost got me a few years ago, but I waited for confirmation during real games in September. Of course, the Cowboys kept winning and I just accepted that, that is his personality. Every year he saw something negative and then the player or group played good enough to win the game and even get nfl awards(like Pro Bowls & All Pros). The reason the team wins is because they keep the same Corp group of players and keep 70+% of the same team and add on new players from free agency and the draft. Always replace whatever Starting position is needed. Plus, our Offense is always at the Top in rankings and with points. We all have seen more than 30 points a game and even 40 🍔s multiple times. There are fans of teams that say breaking 20 points is rare for them. They wish they could just score easily. I will continue to stay positive for the team because they usually prove the naysayers wrong. A positive Broaddus sighting: CB Eric Smith catching a Red Zone Interception thrown by Trey Lance, who was moving the ball down the field. I can’t wait for the Pads to go on for real and the entire team is at camp. That’s when the Real Evaluation starts.

They don't prove the naysayers wrong in the playoffs though. They dominate bad teams but when they play a good team and can't jump out to a lead the other team ends up just running it down their throats.

It's only June. These dudes were drafted 2 months ago and you want them working against DLaw and Michah. So what if they (Guyton and BeeBe) are working with the rooks, they dont even k ow the playbook yet. Reps for confidence first then Baptism by fire. There is plenty of time for them to work against our top defensive players to prep for season.
