+decided to re-do my room again! Its not that I didn't like my old room, I just wanted a new look :) I know I didn't list all the prices for everything, thats because a lot of the things I already owned. one of the perks of volunteering at a thrift shop is that they give you a lot of goodies you find for free hehe....thats why some items where priced at $0. I guess you can say this was an extreme room makeover? haha
some inspo if you are thinking of renovating or redecorating your room or dorm or whatever you please for cheap and within budget!

Anyone using palettes for DIY projects, make sure to check it doesn't have a MB stamp somewhere. This means that the wood was treated with methyl bromide, which is unsafe for humans!

I painted that Ariel a longggg time ago one night when I had a mental breakdown so I wanted to get rid of it when I redecorated. Also, if u look closely, it’s actually a horrible painting 😂😂

..the pots are nice, but just as a little tip - you should never transplant in a smaller pot, especially when the plant is healthily growing. Instead you should look for bigger pots from time to time bc the roots grow as well and need more space obvi. You're welcome 😃🌿🖤

Angelina Moten O M G THANKS GIRLY FOR THE TIPSSSS gonna go double check rn to make sure no bugs!!! I only sanded and sprayed a sealant! Hopefully that’s good enough 😆

Hey girl! I just wanted to go off of what Angelina said because I've also been in the same predicament, haha. If your wood is lucky to not have any wood bouring beetles or bugs deep inside like many pallets do after being left outdoors, then sanding and sealant is fine to keep out new bugs from coming in. But in the case that there might be bugs or even larvae hidden inside the wood, the sealent unfortunatley won't do enough as it only keeps new bugs from coming in, not the present bugs from coming out. I recommend sanding down the pallets once more to remove the sealant and spraying with an insecticde like Bora Care or Timbor so that any insects inside will die and wont come out into your room! Then seal once more! I know it's alot of work and I did the same thing where I had to resand to spray and reseal, but it's so worth it over getting infested with termites, bed bugs, or even just finding tiny beetles aroud your house/ bedroom!

If you aren't handy or don't enjoy construction or building than it would totally be better to buy a cheap bed frame haha. But I love to build my own pieces and my mother and myself are both interior designers so we are very specific with the items we put in our houses and the ones we decorate. I used 10 wood pallets that were extremley sturdy and well built to create a european king bed frame (which is never a cheap buy when new) with a head board that shows quite a bit around my bed and it used for storage and decoration all in one. Wood head boards alone are extremley hard to find for cheap, usually around 300 dollars and thats if you're lucky to find a king version. Long story short, yes it would 100% be easier to buy a frame haha.

aud on camera it looks the same... I know hahah! But in real life trust me, before it was way more orangey but after I stained it, it was more brown tinted
