this is very useful as someone who ult of ults niziu and their albums aren’t sold outside of japan 😭 i’ve been scrolling through mercari japan to see about niziu stuff for like 30 mins and i’ve found my top 3’s member specific albums for like ¥500 each when i was seeing them for like $40 each on ebay
IMPORTANT!! THEY DON’T CHANGE THE VALUE ANYMORE! please make sure you’ve watched the entire video / read the questions in the comments before asking a question! ¨̮ EXTRA INFO! - the shipping varies per country! people from australia have said their shipping is so expensive that it’s simply not worth it. shipping estimation tool neokyo offers: neokyo.com/shipping-rates
also just a note! if your package gets lost the amount that you adjusted the price to say on the box to avoid customs or whatever is the amount that you get refunded! so if the price is ¥20000 and you change it to ¥2000 then you will only get ¥2000 if they lose it
Thank you so much though i’m probably not gonna use neokyo for kpop merch (unless I stumble upon Loona photo cards 🙃) This is definitely more cheaper than the old proxy service i was using!
I must have the worst luck with mercari or not know how to search right because photocards are always so expensive for me, like $15 for a album card and $30-50 for special ones.
you can change the max amount of yen you see! if you change it to be lower, you might find some good deals! but if a card is really special or rare... yeah then it’s gonna be expensive there too
thank you so much for this it was so helpful !! i was just wondering about how long it takes items to arrive to the warehouse? because i've been waiting for some items for a while and am not sure if i should package up half my items now or try and keep waiting. tysm !
in short: if you count up all your orders, that is not the actual value. take off the amount of items you have times ¥250 from that number and you have your proper value. then take 10% of that. that is what you can change it to
Hi! One question. What does "1 pending shop payment" mean? It's my first time using Neokyo so I'm a bit confused. I have bought that item like 3 hours ago so I'm not sure what it means.
Super leuk, fellow dutchie!
Have you ever had an item from an auction get canceled. Just happened to me. Won the auction then sent an email to Neokyo to give me an update about the item they told me that the auction was canceled. My question is do Japanese sellers when they find out it’s a proxy service cancel is that common?
may i know whats the longest you've waited for an item to reach neokyo's warehouse? bc i bought something off of mercari like 2 weeks ago and it hasnt reach neokyo's warehouse and idk if i should be worried. btw i love your neokyo tutorials bc you explain each step very well and its really easy to understand, thank you!
thank you!! yeah tbh sometimes it takes a crazy amount of time. i think the longest i’ve waited might have been three weeks or something... but just know that if it doesn’t arrive, you do get a refund! i know you probably would rather get your item, at least that’s how i feel.. but just wait a little longer and i hope it turns up!!!
hi i am very new to neokyo and your video was very helpful!! there is one thing i’m confused about, it’s with the parcel value why did you have to change the value ? that may be a stupid question but i was just curious if it was something you just did or does everyone have to do that with every shipment ? idk if that made sense or not lol 😭
hi! i finished the video and read comments, but i’m having trouble still processing it and wanted to ask if my brain’s train of thought is understand u correctly 😣 i live in america, and i’m almost 90% sure we have to pay customs, so to get out of paying it i would basically take the price of all the items combined (ie. 20,000¥), then subtract the amount of items multiplied by 250¥ (ie. 3750¥ for 15 items), which would bring the total to 16,520¥,, then take off 10% (which brings it to 1625¥) right? i’m sry if this doesn’t make much sense 🤧
Do we really have to?? I was skimming through the comments and the owner sighted america was one of the countries where u don’t have to? Also i saw the import cap is $200, do u know how much customs fees u would have to pay if u go over that by like $100?
After paying my order, now it's again on "Orders pending payment" area with the status "Unpaid (Shipping Fee paid upon delivery)" ugh that was an unforeseen situation... I was just expecting the international shipping value.
I’ve just bought two things on Mercari, because i was so excited to try it, but now i regret it because i didn’t know anything about customs and i don’t know what to do 😫
So I have a question with The Netherlands new rules on customs etc, will you still use neokyo and mercari japan yourself or do you believe it's now too expansive compared to what it was?
I know this is an old video but i need help😭 Is it normal that they made me pay for the same thing twice? One when i payed like the seller and the other one at the checkout before shipping it?
Hi, sorry for the question, but the value that you can edit in the end, is the only one that came outside the box? It does not bring anything else, like the number of items inside? Or the value for shipping? I live in Europe too, i have an order to prepare, and i´m afraid of doing something wrong? Did you received you order already? Everything went OK with this method? Thank you
Someone who used the surface method and can tell if it really comes after 2+ months ? I ordered from them today and it was the cheapest for me so I chose surface but Im scared it may get lost or delayed or anything else😥
hey i finished watching the video and i have a few questions! does the 45 storage days include the time when they validate and pack your packing request? and usually how long does the packing request take?
@@0221diary ohh i c! so then technically if my time is up but i still have cards on the way, i can send a packing request and wait for the card to come and then unpack and then pack again with the card?
@@pamelahuang5330 you can TRY but sometimes they don’t allow you to unpack bc theyre already working on it, but if they havent validated ur request you can still cancel ur request ye
i out bought two twice fans,,, i didn't realize that the person in the description said to contact them.. im not sure how to do that.. i have a knott in my stomach now LOL also i havent gotten any notifications for the next step.. i really need help
i'm so sad i checked and japan is not shipping to my country through japan post, only with fedex which is about $40 USD which is a NO bc how am i gonna pay that much for photocards 😣
I watched your old video many times and this one and i still don't understand the customs thing but is mostly on me i really don't get math or customs or anything lol I wanna try neokyo once i have a job again so when i do i'll make sure to do a lot of research
thank you for the video! i have a question tho>< can i put my Korean address?(the one with aramex)and ship it with feedx is it not risky? and will it be less expensive?
May I ask if we can request to downsize by removing the individual item's boxes like buyee if we request a consolidated packing request? I tried asking them but customer support did not seem to understand my question
Ok so basically if they have one photo of twi photocards wouldn’t that mean u get both? Or would u just get one of their choice bc I read the description and it said that it was a set of 2 but I’m still not sure.
Hi, the fee per item is about 250 yen, so if I want to buy a set of albums or for example if there are three Photocards together, do I have to pay 250 yen for each item? I mean, on a set of 2 albums, would you have to pay a fee of about 500 yen in total?
You only pay 250 yen fee per listing you buy. So for example, if you see a listing for a set of 5 photocards, you would only pay the 250 yen fee one time because it comes as a set. That’s why I would recommend buying in sets rather than single photocards/items. In sets you basically divide the fee by the number of items so it’s even cheaper than buying each individual item with a 250 yen fee each. I hope that helps.
This tutorial is very helpful thank you! Just a question... At what stage am i supposed to change the value of the purchase for a country with custom duties?
ahh i really want to use mercari but itzy cards are so expensive on there, at least most of what i've seen... i'm going to try using it for weeekly & izone though.
I found a lot of itzy cards for 300-600¥ on Neokyo. My Not Shy holo withdrama Chaer was also only like 600¥. I always filter to "price in ascending order" that way the cheapest options show up first. And I use very general search words. For example "itszy guess who" i never put in a certain members name or "trading card" if I add more it's always in Japanese cause I find it works better then searching in English if I use any other search word that is more specific then what I just mentioned. Hope this helps🥰
Is it possible to know how much shipping would be before buying an item? Because I want to do Photocard GO‘s including shipping and on the website it says 5€ is shipping with Airmail. Or do I have to wait until I put every Item on the List? My other question is, idk if I calculated it wrong but I saw a Photocard Set for 3€ and with fees it would be 5€ and if shipping is 5€. the items+shipping will still costs 10€ right? So would it be better for me to buy just one set or wait until I do more orders and buy every sets together?
is it really okay if you change the value of the package that much? i know everyone does it but I've seen people getting investigated for changing the value? is it even legal? because I mean if it's not why would neokyo let you do it
i mean it’s your own choice to do it, they don’t force you to do it. next to that, if your package gets lost they can only refund you the value you’ve changed it to so it’s definitely a risk to do it. however, the chances of your box getting lost are so slim i’d rather take that risk than spend a bunch of money on customs regularly
Hey! Can I ask you something please. What is the "reduce the value of your package" all about? Like, maybe I'm just dumb (which is probably the case) but I don't understand what that means. And I've watched all of your tutorials on this. I am from Europe too and my country has customs too, it was the same law with 22 euros, even tho they changed the law recently. But what does that "reduce the value of your package 90%"?? Does that mean that they will prepare a package of 22 euros or less, for example if your total package is 40 euros, will they split it into 2 packages or what?? hahaha i'm so sorry but i'm really confused with that step and I really want to avoid the customs 'cause in my country they're very very expensive.... 😭😭 sorry to bother you :'(
Hello, @b ian First, let me apologies because english is not my first language, but I will try my best to explain. I think that means that in the invoice of the package Neokyo will say that the total value is 90% less than the actual price. For example, if I have a package that contains 10 products and the total is $40 euros, I can reduce the value of my package 90% so, instead of $40 it will be $4 (but Neokyo will charge you the $40 euros, obviously). This means that Neokyo will send all the 10 products in one package (they will not split them in different packages), but in the invoice instead of saying that the value is $40, it will say that is $4. With this you can avoid the customs of your country. P.S. I feel obliged to tell you that according to me this is not legal (at least in my country), so I recommend you to avoid doing it as much as possible. Although sometimes it is necessary in countries like yours or mine (Mexico) where international purchases are very limited. In my case I can't buy more than $50 dollars :( I don't want to scare you with the part that it'is not legal jajaja, I think is a little hard for the country to notice that it's not the actual value, and maaaany people do this kind of things. In my country is actually pure bad luck if the customs office retain my package and even more bad luck if they know that it's not the real value. I think you only have a chance of being discovered if you are very obvious. For example, if you say that a 2kg package costs only $5, then they will already suspect that something is wrong jajaja, but if you keep it 'logical', then it's ok, I think
@@dc9024 oh!! thank you so much for your reply. After a week using Neokyo i kinda figuered out what that thing was all about. i wasn't 100% sure tho hahaa, so thank you so much!!!. Yeah. in my country the limit to not get customs was 22 euros, but now, they changed the law recently and every package will go through customs, even the ones that costs only 1 euro or less. So that kinda sucks. I think i will risk and reduce the value 90% tho, 'cause apart from customs you also have to pay a tax, which is 21% in my country. So I'm hoping i will have to pay the tax of the package and not all the products. What is really weird is that i bought a package from buyee some weeks ago with fedex and they didn't charge me anything. like... nothing. And i ordered 3 albums from kpop town, it was delivered with dhl and i had to pay 35 euros of customs....(which was more than the actual albums...) Thanks again!!
@@dc9024 can i ask if u go over the limit, how much customs do they usually charge? For example here in the USA, its a limit of $200 then, so if i went over that, say 365, how much would customs be? Btw this is on a purchase of just 3 pcs
Hi @@ccz2852 , it will depend on each country, you have to check the laws of USA or ask someone that has been through that. But here in Mexico if I go over $50 dolar, they will charge me at least 19% of the value of my package, so if my package is $365 I will have to pay $69.35 of customs. Also if I choose a private post office, they will charge me more, about $25, so I will have to pay $69.35 + $25, this is because when my package is detained by the customs office, the private post office are the ones that do all the paper work so my package can enter Mexico, these $25 are their fees for that work (I believe if I choose EMS, I will have to do all this or hire someone to do it, but I'm not sure). Btw, more than $200 just for 3 pcs, don't you think it's a little too much?
@@ccz2852 Also, I'm jealous of that $200 limit jajajaja, I wish I have that, because I can hardly buy anything with that $50 limit, and the shipping fee is soooo expensive (about $40 at least), so many times I will pay twice the price of my albums
Hii can you use Mastercard to pay with that Stripe thing instead of paypal? Because I don't have paypal Is that Stripe payment thing legit? Or do u recommend paypal
I tried the Japan Post EMS for the first time with my most recent order and it's been over a week and still hasn't left Japan. Even taking in bank holidays/easter into account, still not great. 0/10 would not recommend. Stick with FedEx
@@0221diary I only got it because there was maybe €1.50 in the difference between it and FedEx at that time and it said it would take a similar amount of time to get to me, but never again. Hopefully it moves soon, it has the rest of my fancy you ot9 set in it that I got for dirt cheap so if it gets lost imma do the cry.
Was hoping if someone could help answer this question! Does neokyo cancel your order if the seller doesn't respond within a specific timeframe and if so, how long? I've got one order that's still processing merchant payment and I don't want it to be stuck in limbo especially if the seller isn't responding :(
Hii thank you for this video 🥺💜 So basically the maximum I can put in a box it's like 25000¥ (the actual total) and I can change the value to 2500¥ right?
Love this tutorial. Finally a very detailed one. Although i just want to ask if you know about buyee? They charged me 6,000+yen for gst cause they included everything from the all fees and shipping fee. NZ has 15% Gst, although I only encountered this with buyee. Thats why I changed to neokyo cause they dont charge extra. Do you know if Can I also change the value of the items I bought from mercari in buyee? And is it also 90% of the total? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank youu
