Looking good already from the beginning. Your voice really touches my heart I feel like your doing it from heart not forced. Thank you alot I have been improving within a day from your video tutorial and watch the process of your videos . A new fan.
Just a difference between the mediums for those who are curious: Inks tend to be made with things like shellac or a glue that once 100% dry do not reactivate hence the no lifting (acrylic binder also: think like oil paints, there's a chemical reaction once done you can't change it back; though there's a difference if it's liftable) Watercolor uses water activated binders like gum arabic and a synthetic gum arabic alternative; some are more easily activated hence the lower layers activating again when trying to add another layer (basically dissolves, like salt in water still remains when water evaporates; side note that Gansai paints in build are more similar to inks as they use a more glue like binder vs more western style watercolor)
Back when I was in art school I had a professor who insisted scanning technology would never compare with a good ol' fashioned topdown picture. Considering how far digital cameras have come, I think he was very right. I wouldn't be surprised if a newer phone was significantly better than even a modern scanner, the one I got a year ago couldn't even compete with my old phone. Lovely work, as always, just gorgeous!
Wow, great work! The lightbox is such a fantastic tool. I think one huge benefit is that you get a clean finished piece, but you also get to keep your rough sketch as it is. This can be very handy to go back and look at your process, or to redo an artwork if you need to. Inking on a lightbox also helps keep the drawing more organic, especially if your sketch underneath is really loose. Think of the amazing work of Quentin Blake, who uses this method. Thanks for sharing! 😃
I loved how this came out! I have a problem drawing to draw darker tones in watercolor, they always seem so muddy. I'll definitely try using inks for the underpainting! 💜
I have been watching you for a while and the whole vibe that your videos give are very pleasant! Your art style is one of my favorites❣ your very inspiring to me personally. When I am drawing I have you talk to the background for hours none stop. Your art proses is very well put together I am gonna start using it to🤭
She looks beautiful as always 💖 I just love her character so original I'm excited to see how this pack will turn out ! And I Can't wait to watch zero portrait ! . Btw I'm doing the 100 figures study I'm playing to post a video on my channel at the end of the month hopefully school won't destroy my plan 😂
Have you tried carbon the transfer drawings rather then the lightbox? I suggest sarel brand in red or blue, that’s my fave. Or I make my own, I cover regular paper in a few layers of a soft woodless pencil, 9b or 12b, alternated with rubbing alcohol
Wow, this is such a beautiful illustration! I love how you layered the inks and the texture from the colored pencils. I'm not usually confident in how a piece will turn out after coloring, I just save a copy of the sketch or lineart incase it gets messed up XD
I absolutely love your art! You inspire me to start creating myself. I am not quite sure if I remember this correctly, but you were planning on starting a Patreon right? Do you have an idea when that will be launching since I would love to support you there. 😊
This came out so bold and vibrant! I really struggle with inks because it feels like they fade and desaturate when they dry. Maybe my paper is the problem.
gorgeous gorgeous stunning!! I’ve been a fan art your art for years and only recently started watching your videos, seeing you create your works of art is truly amazing ;;
Wow, found your youtube and i was really telling me "damn, this artist give me the feeling of one i liked very much on DA, what was the name again?... Mellolover ? " I left DA long time ago so i didnt knew about your name change, really happy to find you here and discovering you through yours videos.
@@KingFluffs neither am I, so we must just watch her do her magic until she releases Funko Pops of her characters. At that time the simping process will be done. My life goal shall be achieved.
avoid touching while it's still wet! it dries pretty fast, especially in the linework. Bigger washes take more time but we're still talking like.. a minute tops. Lines dry in seconds :D
