Honestly I love hearing your honesty for the whole thing. You tried a formula that a lot of creators use, didn't like it and let everyone know what you learned from the experience 😁 also I thought the pastel video was funny but I definitely love seeing silly minor conflict like that 😂
It's great that you quickly discovered that some people are honest, some without tact. And so if you ask a question, you're going to get a lot of opinions. Some people will offer their opinions even sans questions, because, of course they will. But generally, the best way to not get answers you don't want to hear, is to not ask questions you don't want the answer to. I wish more people in real life understood this principle.
Thank you for pivoting back. We like you, we like your work, and we like how much you like your work. ❤❤ Genuine interest/questions/creativity are good, but baiting posts won't help grow a positive base.
I got this channel recommended entirely by chance, but I've stuck around because your honesty is so refreshing! It's nice to know you're able to take an objective look at what you posted and decide what does and doesn't work for you. That honesty is one of the many reasons I love this channel. Keep it up!!
the second design would look epic with a darker black and a larger amount of black, and it could be called something like ‘the prism’ you should test it out !!
Do you ever make a shirt and reveal it just to be like "Nope. I hate it"? 😅 I'm just curious. Would you still sell them? I love your videos. It's so cool to see interesting patterns from something "simple" like tie die. Keep it up!
100%!! There’s a whole bin on the shop of unnamed and unreleased designs from collections over the years! Usually I make 10-12 new designs at a time and I’m lucky if 8 of them make the cut 😅 Maybe someday I’ll make a video of the rejects 🤪 Thank you so much 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I don't usuaally care for the spiral ones, they just look a bit too busy to me, but this one is ansolutely gorgeous. (And the other pattern looks great as always.)
I mean for durable tie dye this is as pastel as it can get! I do tie dye myself and I love very light colours. But after washing them a few times the colour is very soon gone. So far as pastel colours what Jake does is as light as you should go so you can actually see the colours after washing it a few times. It's really annoying that so many people just rudely comment before doing it yourself or just think about it for a minute... 😐
God I wish I could find good dye All the stuff I've used fades SO bad Some of them make sense (the dollar store ones) but others that are expensive don't have an excuse-
❤ Again,.... The rainbow pastel tie dye, WAS pastel. It was just a more vibrant pastel, not a muted pastel. Moriah Elizabeth has the same issues with her more vibrant pastel rainbows.❤❤. Don't let ignorant people keep you from doing what you like. 😊❤
On the one hand, I totally understood your rationale for calling that design “pastel”…but I honestly think calling it “bright” or “light” rather than “pastel” would work a little better. It’s noticeably lighter and brighter than the original version of the design, but definitely not what anyone would really recognize as “pastel.” Calling it “Design Bright” would still get the point across without causing confusion.
The comments weren't mean at all! And I agree that the design is very bright and not pastel. After seeing the comments, I plan to launch a new, even lighter, pastel rainbow design that will *actually be* pastel. The point of the follow-up video was that I didn't enjoy getting under people's skin whether it was on purpose or on accident!
