Happy new year and congrats on doing these speedruns. The Glitch worlds seem indeed to be more complex than light and this one, with a lot more triggers and weird paths for puzzles. I've been interested in speedrunning for some time. It's pretty nice to see games encouraging it, with the built-in timer/splits and achievments. Some of the visuals in this world remind me of Catharsis. I'd say that's a pretty good thing, considering Catharsis is one of my favorite fangames.
Happy new year, ConicPotato. May you have a great 2021. And thanks. I've actually come to realize that the hardest worlds can either be the Dark or Glitch ones, depending on what you are good at. The Dark worlds are the most precise, while the Glitch worlds have more puzzles. I struggled more with the puzzles so for me personally the Glitch worlds are still harder, but I could see the Dark worlds being the hardest as well. And yeah, speedrunning can be pretty fun. This game in particular has a lot of speedrun potential, and it's great to see the rating system returning from the original, this time with an S rank as well, if you do it both fast enough and deathless. Yes, I can see the resemblance. The visuals in some of the later Dark worlds should be pretty interesting as well, and some of the new music is pretty great.
Well, I do a lot of game challenges in every game I play, and I've done ones that would make this pale in comparison, but yes, it is pretty difficult. I'd say it's harder than the original to be honest. The levels are longer, more puzzle heavy, and you have next to no time to react a lot of the time so you need to learn them well. It's a very fun game if you ask me, although I know it's pretty divisive among fans of the original. Personally I still like the original a lot, I just think this one is good as well, in a somewhat different way.
5X is hard - but fortunately it seems easier than 6X from Clinic. Currently I have only 2 deathless runs to do Forest Dark and Light and soon Platinum will be mine. BTW game runs faster on 5X ? I feel Meat boy moves much faster on this level than any other level before and after 5X forest.
