करीबन रात के 2 , 2.30 बजे थे मैं 4 थी क्लास में था। 1995 का समय, कर्नाटका मैं घूम रहे थे हुबली से मुर्डेश्वर जा रहे थे। 10 लोग थे । तब ना मोबाइल ना रात को चलने वाले रेस्टारेंट। सिर्फ ढाबे। आज तक मैं आज तक वो रात का खाना भुला नहीं हूं। पालक पनीर और रोटी। रास्ते मैं एक पंजाबी ढाबा था और वो पगड़ी वाले चाचा हमे 5 बच्चो को कहानी सुनाते हुए खाना बना रहे थे। मैने पहिली बार इतना स्वादिष्ट होटल का खाना खाया होगा। आज तक मुझे याद है। Dhabas are really something else specially truckers dhaba.

वाकई बहुत मुश्किल काम बहुत ही विपरीत हालत में करते हैं। मैंने भी कुछ समय अपना होटल चलाया है और अच्छे से महसूस किया है इनकी परेशानियों को। सरकार और गाड़ी मालिको को इन्हें और अच्छी सुविधाएं दी जानी चाहिए। क्योंकि हर वक्त मंजिल तक जाने की जिद और जल्दी में इनके पास जीवन के लिए मूलभूत जरूरत खाना पीना नहाना भी समय से नहीं हो पाता है।
