Great advice! We are taught (hopefully) to be thoughtful of others... but in doing so, sometimes, we are very hard on ourselves and put ourselves last. I know I am my own worst critic, and sometimes won't even try something, or won't finish it, unless I feel it I can complete it up to my tough standards... And in turn, I may miss out on doing something that could be fun, or enjoying a creative project because I only see my errors or shortcomings. I'm not sure if it is because I'm a Virgo, naturally critical, and a perfectionist... or how I was raised, that the standard has to be higher than if anyone else did it. Sometimes good, is good enough... and often, there are "happy accidents".... such as finding new creative ways of doing something, or a result that may not be what was initially intended, but still successful... such as medications or treatments initially created for one ailment, which end up perfect for a different, unexpected solution. I have to remember that everything in existence out there has happened either by taking a chance on discovery, or taking a chance on trying to create... and quite possibly is something that everyone else initially thought was a "bad" idea.
