men or women who look down on girls just because they don't wear hijab and immediately assume that a girl with hijab is more virtuous than one one without is so annoying. something that is growing more and more and you see girls calling other hijabi girls "sisters" even without knowing them as if girls without hijab are not Muslim. Something you notice a lot in European countries at least. They often forget that hijab is not only a scarf. Sad.

+khardala I agree with most of what you're saying except for one point. We call each other sisters (even if we don't know them personally) because they are sisters in Islam. It isn't a personal attack on a non-Hijab, that's taking it a bit oversensitively. In religious clubs and organizations that I work for, its common to call all the women (hijabis and non-hijabis) sisters.

Amna Sambo, as I already stated, I agree with the rational part of your point. But it's irrational and irrelevant to be angry about the use of the word 'sister'. Yes, the fardh of hijab is more than just a head covering but I don't go around judging the state of another sister's hijab or lack thereof.

Hafsah Tarar Yeah well maybe you don't juge but 80% of women with hijab I know do and constantly. By judging I don't mean just bad looks but also comments treating women with no hijab as non muslim and as women that have low moral standards. This is the new trend among many muslim Europeans who did not live in a muslim country.
