Official video of inverted subs and port rear. Figure I'd redeem myself and shoot another demo in the daytime before I temporarily decommission this setup. Enjoy
I dont own the rights to this song. Equipment:
- Sundown Audio X-12 V.3 Subs
- Sundown Audio Salt 4K Amp
- Limitless Limithium Cyber 6K battery (rear)
- XS Power AGM 3400 battery (under hood)
- Mechman 240A high output alternator
- All wires 1/0 GA OFC with Big-3
- SMD Analog volt meter for main AGM batt
- Sundown volt meter for Lithium batt
- NVX 500A dual batt isolator
- All ceramic ANL fuses: 250A alt to main batt, 300A main batt to isolator, 300A isolator to lithium, (2) 200A lithium to amp,
Box specs:
- 3/4" Birch with double baffle and steel rod center brace and a 3/4" Acrylic window
- Height 14.5", Width 39", Depth 23"
- Port 32"x2" tuned to 32Hz
Amp settings/tuning:
- Gain (multi-meter method) set to 63.25V before distortion
- Low pass lowest setting 35Hz
- Subsonic 24Hz
- Bassboost off

Mane you got some pressure💯 I think I might have to go with the Salt 3k for my system and that answered my question about the isolator needed with agm up front I have, I was gonna get a d4s LTO 6.0 lithium or limitless 15ah battery and heard people say a isolator wasn't needed but think I rather separate my agm from the lithium when my truck is off

Nothing fancy...4 6" pioneer 2-way for the doors and a couple pioneer tweeters up front. Connected straight to pioneer deck.

Did you mount your isolator under the hood? You think all the 500A isolators are pretty much the same? Seen nvx has lime a smart turn on one and the acc turn on one.

So far its been 2yrs of daily use....never bottomed out, no coil smell, rubber still good. TBH i need a bigger amp and more power. I only got one Salt 4k to meet the minimum of 4,000 total rms of the subs. Im pushing wayyy lower due to impedence rise etc. Plus only got about 200-250 Ah of electrical. They can take a lot more.

Yikes... That's terrible! Killmat is a great deadoning that isn't too expensive & then you can actually play that in public and not look a 🤡 with all of that rattle! I'd strongly recommend window tint for heat reduction on your gear & more so, privacy, to deter the temptation of someone stealing your gear! Nice subs tho!! 👍

Upgraded electrical wiring (big-3) and upgraded main battery preferably an AGM, High output alternator, Secondary Lithium battery, Battery isolator, and then the amp, subs, box and plenty of high quality fuses and wires.

The Sundown X-12 V.3s are rated at 2,000 Watts RMS each....im barely feeding it just enough with my SALT 4K. They can handle twice the power im giving it now.

I have another vid where i clamped them...got about max of 2500 Watts...lot of variables like Impedance rise, Voltage drop, Ohm load etc. prevents me from getting the most power out of the Salt 4k. I can make a lot improvements but for now its enough power for my setup.

Are these speakers safe to mount in a box facing forward like normal or do they need to face up?

Yeah u can...its just best to use machine screws or nuts and bolts to mount them. Theyre pretty heavy...using just wood screws prolly wont be secure enough.

Should...they're rated at 2,000 watts RMS each so max 4,000 watts with total of 8,000 watts max for 2 of em 👀 🥵

@@808Scenes did you clamped the salt 4K to see how much you’re getting out of it? I saw the jp43 Dyno and the numbers were close although I know that salt 4K is a better amp efficiency wise

@@edmondcarter9457 yeah i did a while back. Its on one of these vids. I got around 2300-2500 watts. I was just playing a random bass song tho. After my last competittion i gained some good knowledge i also purchased an o-scope recently. My box supposedly tuned to 32 but i peaked 144db at 35 at the show. So sometime later imma re-tune my amp to 35ish and get some good solid burps clamped to see if i get a little more juice.

@@808Scenes Ok sweet I’m probably gonna get a jp63 it supposed to do 8k at 1 ohm at 14.4v so if I were to guess after box rise etc I’ll probably be in the 5-5.5k range going towards 2 ohm range. Who knows lol won’t know until it’s actually tested correctly
