@slow mazda cap straaaaight cap I got 2 audiopipe bdc4 12s doing a 150.6 at 28 hz on 4k at .5 ohm in my trunk I actually took inspiration from exactly how his box is made and did the same style sube forward port sideways and can play up to 48hz down to 16 like a 6th order and have jeep windows and large panes of glass windows sgaking like he'll when I feel like rollin through mid town so not necessarily crap lows but very hard to achieve
I know this is not how it goes but. You got a demo at TDH from a man named Curtis. With two soundqubed 18's will he just lost an amp and a sub at the meter over the weekend I know seeing his system would really lift his mood never hurts to ask thanks for the great video👍
Hey Mathew, I may recall with more information to find the video and post it soon, sucks he blew an amp and sub. What vehicle and color was it and was it at day 1 or 2? Also, what amp and was it a no wall or wall build etc.? FB Name? Thanks man
@@JacobViral the vehicle has the name Flexo it is on the front windshield thank you alot for this i am a subscriber and will continue to watch the daily uploads have a great day
Nathen. Who built your box. Im sitting on 2 12 inch nightshade and a salt 6. Just looking for the rite box. Love your set up . Im currently running 33 speakers in my 09 camry on a salt 2000.6 and a salt 200.4. Going to get another 2000.6 soon.. Thanks man
I'm so happy you talked about which way to face your box in your trunk because it's been an ongoing battle for my car and I've gotten mixed feedback from subscribers on my channel about it! But I appreciate you shouting out other RU-vid channels! Mine is "Kpaceguy"! Thanks in advance man
Out of my testing my SP4 was the loudest with a l shape slot facing the trunk roughly 4 inchs away. I also have 3.5 cube tuned to 35 and 4k to it. Two runs of 0 gauge 175 amp mech a yellow top and two xs power in the rear.
Th3Aggr3ssiv3 Cons3rvativ3 I have done a 150.1 with a single 1000watt 15 on 1700 watts. And dude is probably not doing it wrong. He is just probably in the earlier stages of learning this hobby.
Dope ass box really nice looking stained wood. I love naked wood. I got a really good idea from this video. I need to brace the inside of my new box im making for the 12s. Im really happy he kept his back seats WOOOO DREAMS CAN COME TRUE! Jacob you know we love that trunk flex jelly car business
I like your night shades those pair 12" are truly awesome 😎👍 subs. an what a beautiful box you custom made for them . I have a trunk build similar . 8k amp,12" 3012r deaf bonce . An (4) 6. 1/2 " alphard high power ,an (2) alphard super tweets on an other Memphis prx 4 channel . Mechman 390 alt. ,12k cyber lithium battery . Smd distro. With anl fuses. 500 amp . isolator . Second skin (2) layers around trunk . Knob concepts zero gauge . Ski high bass knob . Rca splitter box . Maybe I can get. A video of mine one day . Piece bro
Wow. I never thought about using a kitchen cabinet for sub box. Just take off the doors and put plexiglass on top. All spl meters read different. I was doing 154 then went to competition and hit 147 with professional meter.
This is the loudest trunk build I can find 😅 I have 2 12s in an octoport, I got 149db when I was first breaking the subs in but I’m definitely set on trying to be the loudest trunk build in the states lol
I've heard trunks close to the 160dB range but most are burp and non-music. See my Trunk Playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PL2fggEJq2gxSuz7x5Cx6Sdq8m9RcQtuXO of videos if you want.
@@JacobViral thanks for the reply bro I’m checking out all your videos right now I just got back in the game and hoping to be one of the loudest trunk builds 🤙🏽
i think as long as the port is close to something it can "load" you'll get good results. with slotted it's typically against the trunk, in this case it's against the wheel well area.
Nice build and great video Jacob! Jacob you've been to way more shows then I have but every once in awhile you make me chuckle when you say, "That's my first time seeing that." I'm not going to get into my age...but I'll just say I'm from the era of monthly car audio magazines. 😁😁 But anyways...I enjoy your videos!
Oh hey!!!! What’s the name of the song during the intro at the beginning of your videos? Always stuck in my head lmao. Wasn’t sure if it was a non copyright protected clip etc
Some people start with one and add to it while others go big from the start. It’s better I would think to have multiple then one big incase something happens you have backup support but overall shouldn’t be a difference.
I have an HDX312 in 2.8 slotted. I was thinking to get more trunk space back, (because this is my daily driver), I would put it in 2.5, sealed off from trunk, with the port outside of the box going through the rear deck. Any opinions on this? Suggestions?
@@deehill5335 You being serious or sarcastic lol. I've been in and out the game, but my brain is telling me that i've heard people say not to do that. I think its a good idea though. either way i no longer have that 12 and will be running a sundown x18 next. I want to have a proper box and my trunk space, so it will be in the backseat
@@undergroundking217 dead ass, its some guy named bassman on here that put 2 dc xl 15s in a dodge avenger and 2 6 inch aeroports through the rear deck, sumbish hit 155 from the trunk
My experience has been subs back port to side or subs up and port to back is the best. I was running subs up port to the front and I turned it around and it made a world of difference for one you can push them a little harder and not here any distortion where when they where fired to the front you could hear it.
I would love to purchase a box just like yours for a 2010 lichion mks I really help with that I'm think about starting a RU-vid channel about upgrade a neglected 2010 lichion mks Ecoboost
Jacob or anyone else. If I have two big a$$ ports 8 inch ports and my box will be almost as if its sealed off using one fi sp4 18 v2.1 on a 3k smart 3 amp from taramps. Will the ports on the side like in the video still be a good idea?
@@JacobViral I figured out that i can fit a little over a 1 to 1 4th order bandpass with a single 8 inch aero tuned to 40 hz and seal off into the cab so thats what im going to do. Hoping for at least a 140 db burp to 142 db burp. Thanks for the quick reply. I will be running a 350 amp alternator and a 40 ah lto lithium battery.
Why does he have so many runs of power and ground on a 2 amp system? Was it just for looks? I mean 2 runs of 2/0 would have been fine. I've heard some people say it keeps the heat down and the voltage up but I haven't had any trouble with just 2 runs of 0 on that amount power
Since he’s running a 1ohm stable amp @.5 ohms, he literally needs all of the “juice” he can get. Especially with one alternator. I only saw one so I’m assuming that’s the case. Plus connecting all the batteries together as well as connecting them all to the alternator. A lot of stuff goes into it but usually if you see that many wires, it’s for a good reason whether it be extra juice going to the amp or just connecting them all depending on how many batteries and amps he has. But that’s just my best educated guess :)
@@jordanlunarde1998 like i said earlier, 2 runs of 2/0 would more than cover that small of amount of current. Even if he used the cheapest ccaw he could get it would still work. More than likely it was either for future expansion, or just a rook overcompensation. Ive had extra runs of wire waiting to be hooked up but i knew i was gonna use it later when i got another bass amp but i didnt hook it up to to the battery.
Having a mirror doesnt mean your not loud or loud. Theres ppl doing 55s with mirrors and ppl doing 40s that had theres fall off, all depends on the car.
Just for knowledge when u have a car with a simple setup like this YOU GET LOUDER by facing the box towards the trunk and not inside the cabin even if it was sealed off. Turn the box around and you'll gain
Negative.. this setup is louder down than strictly loading off the trunk. He does a 153 for a reason. If he were to do what you said in his car he would easily lose 3 to 4 db on the meter. A lot of research and trials go into these systems. I've known Litko for a while and have built him a few boxes through the years that have done 150+. Just because one thing works in one car doesn't mean it'll react the same in every car.
@@natelojek2283 I'm not sure if you're speaking to me or the other guy what I was saying is the other guy was stating if you turn the box around speakers face the fact it would be louder I figured it would be the same just about because the ports on the side all your pressure is coming from the port not the subs.. am I wrong cuz I know all my air comes from my port when I put an aero port in my enclosures
You can give me another shout out🤗 and always revisit my channel😁. Got a 4th order c-pilar 4 12 set up I'm building. Planned on catching it on film. Not sure yet.
U could get 2 jl 13.5 w7 and it will db around 150 -152 and run 2 jl 1000 watts ,and only 1 battery, this dude got 2 battery a 7.5k watt amp for 2 subs .the jl would sound cleaner and farther away in close a sundown sounds louder tho.
