Mary, you are beautiful and real and a breath of fresh air. I’m getting so I cannot tolerate people on RU-vid who wish to appear perfect in their lifestyle or their appearance. I don’t even trust most of the “influencers” after knowing that sponsors give them scripts to follow. It’s all fake. Thank you for being who you are. You are very relatable. I really enjoy you and your channel content.
Bought 4 different balms, foundation pencil and brow pencil. I love it! I’m 55 and have good skin but do suffer from redness and some light sun spots. This makeup routine is so quick and easy! Bobbi Brown hit it out of the park with these products!
Well hello, Mary! I’ve been considering this new line for awhile.. And I must tell you.. If I had any connections to Bobbi herself, I would call her right away and tell her to fly you out to the States, because I had found her new Campaign model/instructor❤️. Your beauty, diction, cadence & instruction are what is encouraging me to hit that “Add to Cart” button!😉 I have watched several of Bobbi’s videos on Jone’s Road, but if we’re being honest, your’s was better. We’re the same age, and I too have scars (from childhood Chicken Pox) that I like to camouflage.. You’re so relatable, and my goodness that smile! 20 something makeup RU-vidr’s are great! But I want a girl that looks like me and has a few more years of wisdom in her arsenal!😉. You have a new subscriber, sister! I encourage you to keep up your good works! Us Gen Xer’s need you!!! 😘
Oh wow....thank you SO much for kind words 😊 You've totally made my day!! It certainly encourages me to keep on going 👍 And if you happen to get through to Bobbi, tell her I'm happy to be a part of their campaign 😂
Thank you so much Mary for your content🥰It is such a blessing to have found a kindred spirit of my age ,and any age really, showing us the goods! You are so cute and funny. Keep up the great work!! Love from the states.
I just got mine today 7/11/23! I got the Sunkist ... color is spot on with a tiny hint of color! I like it! It is natural looking with a shine and not the painted look that most creme foundations give! I like it!
What an absolutely "real" review. I was glued to the post from beginning to end... While I normally skip over the gibber jabber to get to the root of the review. I too have aging, dry skin (52 over here 👋💕) and will NOW be purchasing this product, all because of you. Thank you!!!
Wow, that's so lovely - thank you 😊 Please come back and let me know what you think. I've picked up a bunch more Jones Road products and will do a full face video soon!
Thanks for this fabulous review and demo. I've been contemplating the Jones Road line since I am a "no make up" make up person. Like you, I'm 50 and prefer to spend my money and time on skincare rather than makeup. This may be a reason to give the brand a go. Keep the videos coming-you're a gem!
@Green Thumb Wannabe. I have oily skin. I was intrigued by Miracle Balm, so I got the au Natural. It was so greasy on my hands. I fully expected breakouts, but my skin loves it. I don't use it as a makeup, but like it as skincare. Maybe it will be a good winter makeup.
Great in depth review. I recently turned 50 and also love the miracle balm for hydration. I would recommend the natural balm color for all over and trying her lip/cheek tint for added warmth and color. There’s a tawny nude color that is beautiful for a flush without being too pink. Also has a nice sheen.
I love these products! I have dry skin which loves the miracle balm (I have 3)...I know so many talked about it being tacky, but that was not my experience. I also love the face sticks, and shimmer oil. I'm in my 50's living in a cold climate & this was a godsend! I just ordered the oil stick and some eye tints so anxious to try that as well
I like the Miracle Balm a lot for hydration and it ‘evens’ my skin tone. It doesn’t remain tacky. I’m 77 with heavily hooded eyes. Less makeup look is best for me so her approach works. Don’t want to look like a made up clown!
Thank you for making the follow up video. I was skeptical after your first review and didn't order. I feel more confident in the brand today. I live in Wyoming where there is lots of sun and wind, so natural is the look I am going for.
I’m totally excited to try the Jones Road beauty brand as I’ve also been a long time fan of Bobbi Brown. And the ethos of the brand appeals to me 😊letting my skin shine through and using makeup to lightly accentuate “me” - 60 years old and doing my best to look after my skin. I have the chance to order and have it delivered to my in-laws in Texas. They come to the Netherlands regularly and could bring it over. The miracle balm sounds incredible!
I’m not even done with your video and I’m already hooked! Finally someone with my approach to beauty! Thank you for the fantastic review and intelligent approach to womanly skin! I’m 37 and about to have my first kiddo - no time for makeup (but still love it), but skincare feels like indulgent caring for self!
I really like the look on you. It's a very natural look, tones down any redness and looks like you aren't wearing make up, which I think is perfect. The miracle balm sounds like it might be good for my skin during the winter when it suffers from the cold.
I think the natural redness on your cheeks looks great. You never have to apply blush. I would just moisturize my face with a neutral balm if I were you and let that pretty natural blush shine through.
@@SkinObsessedMary I was going to ask what blush you were wearing because I love it! Then you said it's natural and I was like wow, what a blessing you got :)
I'm a not-so-young woman in a cold climate, and I LOVE the Miracle Balm. I'm using Dusty Rose on my winter-pallid skin, and the effect is energizing and fresh, but not at all made-up looking. My skin feels beautifully hydrated and soft, and is sort of glowy, without looking like I'd been dipped in a vat of highlighter. (This really is a unique product, so it's hard to describe.) For somebody with dry to normal skin, living in a cool, temperate or dry climate, it's fantastic. On the other hand, I'm not so sure that a person with oily skin would like it, nor do I think it would be ideal for a hot, humid environment. In that case, I think it would just be too much of a good thing.
I think you're absolutely right! Living in Ireland, it's pretty much never hot here, so it suits well. Do you wear any foundation at all or just the miracle balm?
@@SkinObsessedMary Not much - unless I really look pasty. Mostly I just use concealer, balm and a little cream blush. Ireland in January, though! Wow. I'm in Maine, where it's even colder and there's lots of snow, but the dampness of an Irish winter just kills you!
Thanks for your review! I have using JRB since it was launched! The one product I haven’t used yet is the WTFoundation- but that is now on its way. I am 60, and I go between the JRB “look” and a full on makeup “look” and I am using JRB more than the full on stuff. I have 3 Miracle Balms (Au Naturale is clear, Tawny more for contouring or that sun-kissed look and Dusty Rose for that healthy flush/glow). My skin LOVES the Miracle Balm, I live high in the Rocky Mountains, and it’s very dry where I live and my skin is also very dry, so the MB is my go to for everyday use. I love the pencils, they are so versatile and easily packed in a purse or a carryon when traveling. I pretty much have everything JRB has produced except the mascara, I love it but my eyes do not (I have very sensitive eyes and also dry eyes that cause tearing. Thanks for the review and how to put this product on correctly. And may I note for those here who want to use the Miracle Balm- to break the seal, I used a makeup spatula to go deep and make a deep divot in the pot- it’s a tough seal to break so don’t feel you are failing- just dig hard and deep and it will break and you will get the full benefit of the product.
Just found your channel. Most other mature influencers I’ve seen on RU-vid haven’t liked Jones Road because of the tackiness. I’m so glad to find a mature woman who does like it. may. Make a suggestion? Have you considered that the redness on your cheeks is rosacea? Have the same thing, and my dermatologist started me n a prescription face lotion that I put just on the red areas and it has made a world of difference.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a message 😊 I do love her products. It's best to use sparingly, in my opinion, but I find they're great for dry, dehydrated skin. 👍 That's a great suggestion. That redness really only happens occasionally but if it's something that persists or becomes more frequent, I definitely will.
I was a professional makeup artist for ESTEE Lauder for four years. Miracle Balm is slightly tinted heavy night moisturizer. There is no way you could put this stuff on and then apply make up on type of it. I am glad I tried it though.
Great review! Of all the JR reviews I think you really took the time to understand the products 🤣. I have combo skin, leaning drier in the winter and oily in summer. I only reach for JR stuff in the winter when I’m drier and prefer to wear less makeup. I love her eyeshadow formulas, the liquid glitter shadow has a bit of a learning curve, her mascara knocked out my favorite (Bite). Overall, her line is fantastic. But you have to understand that when you use her products, what you know of “no makeup-makeup” to be will need to be dialed back 5 knotches down.🤣. Took me a while to understand that.
Thank you for your insights! I'd love to get a bit of hands-on training with her team to make sure I'm getting the most out of it. I'm going to keep on trying for sure...
I recently bought the Miracle Balm in au natural, a face stick, and a cheek/lip stick. I love them because while the effect is subtle, they make a surprisingly big difference compared to wearing no make-up, and I am over 60 (and on you as well btw). I prefer that unless I am going to a formal event. The Miracle Balm does not feel tacky to me.
That's fantastic news! I haven't tied the face stick yet but it's on the list! How do you wear the Miracle Balm? Do you use all over or just in certain places?
Brand new here: Thank you for such a good & honest review on this. I ordered mine and it’s in my mailbox as we speak! Now, if it will make me look half as good as you… it’s a win. ⭐️💫✨🌙
Just listening to you and you saying you're in Europe I kept hearing an irish lilt and was satisfied to see you are based in Dublin! It's so interesting how accents creep into others. I love this review, very helpful as I rarely wear makeup and love the no makeup makeup. The pencils look so promising as well as the balm.
Haha, some people really pick it up on my crazy accent! Ya it's an interesting makeup for sure. The more I use it though the more I wonder if the pencils aren't a bit too drying for me 😬 If you're looking for a super light option with a blurring effect and slight luminosity, my first pick is always Trinny London BFF cream - it's a holy grail product I'm never without and it's sometimes all I wear. Here's a link - myshlf.us/p-175190 Another great option and one that has totally grown on me is the Chanel Water Fresh Tint - myshlf.us/p-187120 Also did a video (and like it even more than I said here) - bit.ly/3b5J5H9
@@SkinObsessedMary ah if it's a bit drying then def not good for me as i tend to be a bit dry. hmm. I do use trinny's 'just a touch' but don't love how it sits on my face. I've not tried the BFF though... might have to check it out thank you!
@@SkinObsessedMary Since commenting here i've tried JR and REALLY love the pencils! They work really well for me. I use them with her eye cream and miracle cream (the latter is SO thick and sticky though, but very moisturising!). I also have got tawny miracle balm which I really like and the face oil. I tried the oil stick but UGH that was awful, just sat on top of my face.
I think it looks very pretty on you, Mary. I've been wanting to try this and I think I will after your review. Like you, my skin is very dehydrated, year round, so the miracle balm is very appealing. Thanks for the honest review.
Thank you for your review. I am 53 and going into menopause and find my face getting more and drier. I saw another review recently but she was younger. So I appreciate your review and plan on giving this a try. Would love to see another review once you get the different colors to hear how you like them.
Glad it was helpful! I probably won't pick any more up until I'm back in the States (the import costs are a bear!), but I'll be dabbling again in the summer, I'd say. Thanks so much for getting in touch :)
I recently ordered Joannes beauty and wasn’t quite sure how to use it. Your video was so informative and helpful! As an actor who’s on camera, I can appreciate those bright lights!
I appreciated that you said you don’t cover your scars…it’s part of your journey. Amen! I too have scars from accidents and falls from my mountain bike rides! I am not a huge fan of the miracle balm. Not at all. It’s like dirty Vaseline that doesn’t soak in whatsoever on my skin. So. I went back to using Bobbie Brown products. It just always worked for me, but I’ll keep my mind open in trying any of her other Jones Road products. Thank you for your reviews- maybe I’ll try her miracle balm again in the winter- I did use it on my lips, but it’s expensive for a lip balm. Oh! I too ordered the color tawny- anyway, rock on with your reviews. I’ll watch and learn from “across the pond” in the Midwest 😊
Thank you so much Beth. I've hear that soooo much about the miracle balm. Where in the midwest? My mom's family is from Illinois so I've spent a lot of time there over the years...
@@SkinObsessedMary We are in Indiana smack dab in the approx middle of the state about 20 mins NE of Indy - My paternal grandfather’s family is from County Clare in Ireland
So glad I found your review! I am obsessed with the Jones Road products I’ve bought so far (miracle balm in Tawny, Magic Hour and Flushed, Just A Sec shadow in Topaz, shimmer face oils in pink opal and Midas and the lipgloss in pink gold). I have oily skin so I don’t use the Miracle Balm all over my face but I love it on my cheeks as a glowy blush, and it stays put. I also really love the just a sec cream eyeshadows and the shimmer face oil. I thought I would just pipe in as an oily skin girl to say that miracle balm is great, you just have to modify application. All of the products you used look amazing on you!!
Thank you so much! I just ordered the new WT Foundation, shimmer face oil in Midas & Lip & Cheek stick in Rosy Brown. Video to come soon on that I'd say...have you tried the foundation?
Great job! I just found this brand and doing my research. I'm interested in the miracle balm. Since Covid, my husband and I have been pretty much isolating, so I have no business looking at makeup AND never wore makeup. However, because I just turned 62, I'm more interested in self-care than ever. Interested in wearing something on my skin, I think this is it. I'll return to give you an update. Bobbi needs to give you a commission because if I do purchase, it'll largely be because of you! Keep up with your videos, good luck to you. BTW, you look great and am glad you proudly own your beauty marks!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Oh wow thank you so much ☺️ There have been a lot of mixed reviews on these products but I find they works beautifully. Please do come back and let me know what you think 🙏
Great review!! I have tried the skin balm Dusty rose I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now. I’m 50 and don’t always want to use heavy makeup. This stuff is great. I love the kiss of color it gives me. Im going to try a few other things now.
Thank you for your review. I just ordered the JR bronze miracle balm and “New Year Same You” kit to try out the face sticks, eye cream and new shimmer oil. Really intrigued with the skin care element of these products. I’m 50 as well and looking for “better for your skin”makeup. Cheers 🥂
What a great review! Glad I found your channel. I'd love to see you review some of the other Jones Road products. I just got the wtf foundation and I love it, so hydrating with just a slight tint. I also have 1 of the face pencils and the miracle balm in flushed, love them too. I'm 40 and my skin loves the hydration too. I'm interested in the brow pencil and the lip and cheek sticks. Thanks again for your review, everything looked perfect on you! 🥰
Thank you so much! Funny you mention it....I just ordered her new WTF (What The Foundation), shimmer face oil and lip and cheek stick. I'll be doing a video soon 👍
Thank you for your review! I’ve been thinking about trying this line for awhile now but after seeing your review, I can’t wait! I’m new to your channel and I’m hooked! Thank you for being honest and real!
Hi Mary, I just received my order, definitely it feels more like a face treatment. I ordered Dusty Rose which is to light for my skin. You have tawny does it has any shimmer in it? Overall I like the product. Thank you have a blessed week 🤗
@@luckycardona8320 It does have a slight iridescence to it but I don't notice when it's on my skin. Does dusty rose work on your lips? I've been putting on my eyelids too for a bit of highlight
@@SkinObsessedMary I just tried it does not make any effect on me since, the balm it’s so light😩 I bought a small sample of Magic Hour did not like it at all it has shimmer,
Great review thank you. I purchased this last night because I’ve always loved Bobbie Brown. I’m moving and will live full time at the lake. I think a full face of makeup will be too much but a natural hydrating look is certainly what I need.
I am intrigued by these products but have yet to pull the trigger. So many color choices! I don't wear makeup often and when I do, it's the bare minimal amount. That said... I will do a deeper dive now that I've seen this video. For the record, I'm a youthful 67 living in New England. Thank you for the review.
It's a really interesting line and that's exactly what Bobbi Brown is all about. I did another video with her WTF Foundation and I'm going to be doing another full face video (when I get back from vacation) using those plus a few others. Definitely look into the range 👍
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! I've been looking at trying JR for a while but not 100% sure to take a chance. I'm 47 and skin care obsessed as well. 😀 I'm new to your channel and loving the content !
Thank you. My coloring is similar to yours but I am 75. I see now that my choice on the Jones website was too light. Very happy I saw your review before purchase.❤
Hi, I have these products and since they are very hydrated. The only thing that I prep my skin with is vitamin c and sunscreen and it’s much less dewy. Love the natural looks it gives.
I just ordered some products finally after debating for weeks but I like a very natural makeup now, I only do more heavy makeup if I’m going out for the night. I love the natural look and these products seems to do a great job. I am only 33 and wasn’t sure if it was for my age group since all the ads and most videos are more mature women’s skin but I just really want to try it. I love feeling hydrated too so I’m really hoping these work for me!
I do hope you'll come back and give me your thoughts after 🤞 I think they show on mature skin more because we're more problematic. If it looks good on our skin, it'll be fab for yous!
so, they also suggested to me that i go much lighter when they first launched. I got 1 & 3. The models they used to demo the no1 have changed now, and the same model is now demoing no7! the 3 was fine, a bit yellow, but it worked on my neutral pale olive undertone. But the 1 was waaaaay too light. I got the no7 recently and it is perfect. So, i found that i needed darker, and also darker than their people sugested when i sent a pic. tricky to match online, tbh, but worth trying different colours to find the perfect one. amazing product. makes my skin look perfect.
I love the Tawny miracle balm on you. I am 70 an have pretty good skin. I do not wear any make up except for some blush. This is definitely something I will buy. Thanks. Just wanted to say that I thought your complexion looked wonderful at the beginning before you put anything on. Your face got redder after you were rubbing it and applying the M. Balm.
I just found this by accident and bought 3 balms. Didn’t know how to use it. I’m 60, and I had great skin and wore makeup all the time.. about two years ago I had to quit work because I have an autoimmune disorder that has really flared up bad. I have a lot of procedures done and don’t wanna wear full make up to the hospital. But I wanted something to support my skin and to give it a little boost cause right now it looks pretty awful because of my condition. I am focusing super hard on good skin care and lots of moisturization. Thank you for showing how to use your products. I think I am going to investigate further several other items.
I'm in UK and I can relate to your sentiment of getting makeup delivered from US, but I went for it - got my delivery today. I got a foundation stick, what the foundation, lip and cheek tint and the miracle balm. I agree with the "good greasy" feeling - having a dry skin, I do welcome it. I also did the colour match and then watched some BB tiktok videos to reconfirm. Generally the match was very good and having had a quick try today I can say I am hooked and excited to keep experimenting.
I’m not sure it matters much but I noticed that Bobbi puts the balm over the face pencil. What do you think? And btw, LOVE your top/dress! Would you mind sharing the label / designer? You look great in it. Cheers, Mari
Hi Mari, I've actually seen her do both. But you're right...I now use more at the end of my routine. I just bought a 4pack of minis and use them in different way. Thanks about the top! I actually bought that second hand (for about 15 euros)...it's Benetton and I have no idea how old it is. I've had it for 6 years and it was already a bit older. Sorry I can't be of more help.
😂😂 Most people don't make it to the end to see the outtakes. Believe me....there's a lot to choose from in each video! Thank you SO much for subscribing 😊
Just found you through this video and subscribed immediately. We are about the same age with the same skin type and redness. I haven't seen your other videos yet, but this looks perfect on you and is what I would like for myself on a daily basis. Gorgeous no makeup makeup look. I would maybe just add some minimal eyeshadow and gloss if I wanted to look a bit more done. Now I'm off to watch more of your videos! xoxo
I think you look beautiful before ANY makeup! Honestly, I wish I looked like you. I would have saved myself pounds! 😊 great video too. It’s the first time I’ve seen you, I’ve subscribed and like your video, thank you! Xxx
I've never seen you before but I enjoyed watching your video about Jones Road, as I had just ordered some of the product. I really enjoyed your comments and will subscribe, thank you
I just placed my first order with Jones Road. I didn't order the balm yet, I'm just sticking a toe in the water to see if I like the colors. I ordered two pencils and two lip colors. I was a Bobbi Brown Cosmetics customer way back when, and I loved the philosophy in re offering subtle colors in a broad range. But it was disappointing when she sold it to Lauder.... On the website, they offer an eye moisturizer to use under the pencil, if you use it under the eyes. I have moisturizer left over, so I'll wait on that; they also offer a solution in re the balm for those with oilier skins: get their powder to absorb any shine. Gotta say, I appreciate that the prices are moderate compared with the higher-end brands, running about the same price as Clinique, which isn't nearly as good a product, has lots of chemicals, etc. As a person around Bobbi's age, I'm so relieved to find that she's making products that are good for my age group, as well as for younger-aged women. It's huge. And she uses some older models who have gray hair. Many of us grew out our color and went gray during the pandemic. I had my hair dyed for about 30 years before that, and I'm so relieved to not have to get my roots done every 6-8 weeks. Not to mention the savings. So I'm shifting my makeup to go with the gray hair, as well as my discovery that I have cool undertones, not warm ones! Anyway, I just found your channel and will enjoy exploring it. Would enjoy seeing you explore her WTF product, which I'm considering trying rather than the balm, but the balm's getting good reviews all over, so we'll see.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time share your thoughts 😊 I'm a huge fan of Bobbi Brown's philosophy....less is more and she absolutely develops products for us older ladies. A lot of people don't love miracle balm because it's pretty heavy stuff. I use it sparingly and enjoy but for many it's too sticky. I did purchase and review WTF if you want to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WHHh668jSJI.html It's great if you don't want anything too heavy, that just evens out skin tone. I haven't embraced the grey yet (my hair's not grey enough) but look forward to the day when I can stop colouring out of necessity. Let me know what you think of your new purchases!
Thank you for your great review. I think it looks great on you. The difference is subtle but perfect for minimal make up and letting your beauty come thru. My only hesitation is the "tacky feel". I do not like anything that feels heavy or tacky. My skin is very dry so the moisture would be welcome.
Thank you ☺️ Many have said it has a tacky feel, so it may not be the best for you All of her products are super hydrating. The shimmer face oil is amazing and the lip/cheek product too. I did another video with those pieces and they're gorgeous!
just discovered your channel through your collab with Claudia Glows, love your content (: . So happy to learn from you ! I love the idea of Jones Road, like Trinny london , it seems really made for more mature skins and for natural look which is what i aim for.. I have yet to try either.... but will eventually be tempted cause looks really lovely on you (:
Thank you so much!! It was an absolute delight doing the video with Claudia and hopefully we’ll do more🤞 I love Jones Road and probably Trinny even more 😍
Hi there - just started using it this week. I agree 100% that it feels so yummy on... I can't get moisture to feel this good!!! I've been playing around with a lot of foundations these days to find something that looks natural, super moisturizing and covers all that redness. I have the WTF and pencils in 1 and 2 - fair/porcelain Irish American skin (Mom from Sligo, Dad from Tullamore). Just need more redness cover...and I'll be happy! Thanks for your review... but this stuff rocks as far as skin care and feeling well hydrated is concerned! Haven't found anything like it.
Sligo & Tullamore - no way! I assume you've been to visit? I love living here ☺️ I just started using WTF and have a video on it tomorrow! Spoiler....I really like it 👍
You've come to the right place! I honestly think all of her products are made for dry skin of mature women. It's way more for us my age than the young ones. Super duper hydrating :)
I enjoy this video and subscribed. Thank you. I also have dry skin and will be getting the Miracle bomb in 2 shades soon. Plus, red skin or roseasa (sp) on about 65% of my face. I recently turned 65. Sorry my thoughts are choppy today...been watching the Jones Road videos and I'm very impressed with this line of cosmetics.
Thank you so much for subscribing ☺️ Which shades did you get in the miracle bomb? It's super hydrating, so hopefully it'll do the trick. Please do come back and let me know what you think of them.
This amazes me. I have Type II Rosacea and have spent thousands of dollars trying to hide the redness. Putting red-tinted moisturizers all over your face is just bizarre to me!
That's fair, I totally understand that. But you'll see in this video that I have quite a bit of redness when I started. Miracle Balm was more about adding warmth all over than red (like blush).
Love the review. I am 53 and pretty fair with combo skin. I got the balm in Dusty Rose and have only used it twice. I love the smell, the feel and the color it adds to my skin. I am learning to use it, as I think it can do a lot more than just putting color on my cheeks over foundation, which is what I did today. I have the pencil in fair neutral but plan to get a pink fair when it's back in stock. I am going to try to put it on my skin all over tomorrow instead of using foundation. I really love the feel and hope to be able to use it to its full potential.
@@SkinObsessedMary I haven't yet. The only other product I have is the pencil you reviewed the 1 fair neutral. I love Bobbi Brown and her makeup philosophy and her new products reflect it. I can't wait to try more.
@@SkinObsessedMary I have the Dusty Rose and the Au Natural and some of the eye products. I do not have extensive experience using ALL THE BRANDS but I do really like the JR eyeliner pencils and the metallic eye shadows. I have Midas and a few others. Great stuff. I like supporting natural products that are good for us. I want to try her lip/cheek tints next but I have redness in my face and am always hesitant to throw blush colors on. Trying Ilia now too.
@@greengirlva I think I'll pick up some of JR the metallic eye shadows then! Lot of people love Ilia but my first experience was a total bust (I did a YT review of the tinted serum last summer, which was not my friend).
Wait. You have no makeup on in your intro? You’re so lovely! Okay, so I just subbed because I would like my face to be as fresh, glowy and vibrant as yours. Can’t wait to learn about your favorite products and regimen! Thank you! Edit: I’ve just finished watching your demo and am so happpy I ordered her products! I haven’t received them yet, but I want to look naturally beautiful, too! ❤️🎉
@@SkinObsessedMary I really like the line! It’s a very different look for me than her old line, but I felt quite pretty at the end! Thank you for showing how to use it and what to expect! 💕🌷❤️ Here’s my run down: WTF Foundation has enough coverage and can replace my moisturizer. It reminds me of a cream that Max Factor made in the 1980s-I used to wear my mom’s all the time, lols! Such a great formula. The magic balm was so light and beautiful once I learned how little is needed. Eye shadows and Just A Sec are beautiful. So natural and blendable! The lip / cheek sticks are possibly my favorite product. Tawny Nude and English Rose both great colors! Lips glosses I haven’t really needed but loving the colors and feel. (Nude Beige and Peony) The only things I haven’t loved are all the different pencils for skin, eyes, and brows-maybe because it’s winter they don’t feel creamy enough and drag. I’ll keep them though, because hoping in warmer months they’ll be better. I probably shouldn’t have bought the mascara because I don’t really look great in it. But people who want a big sexy lash will probably love it! ❤️
I think I’ll stick with my 13$ maybelline 24 hr skin tint lol. I’ve not found one that has made my skin look as beautiful as that!!! I have hundreds of foundations (cosmo student) and not one compares to it!
My skin is as dry as a bone, so I will be looking at that balm. I use CeraVe OINTMENT all over my face at night now - which is GREASY and holds in moisture beautifully in Los Angeles winters.
I just watched your review of the Jones road products!! I ordered them a few days ago!! I can’t wait to try them! I am curious to know what color you used of the miracle balm,in the video?
Mary are you still liking this? What colors are you wearing? I live In Florida and my body is much darker than my face. I love the sun. I am 64 so I need lots of hydration but don’t like really shiny or sticky. I love your videos and always look to see if you’ve reviewed something before I buy. I’m much older than you but am a minimalist on makeup too.
Hi there! I'm still using Jones Road but I prefer the WTF to the pencils, because it gives a bit more coverage and is super hydrating for my skin. I did a more recent video using all JR products if you want to check that out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QBJRyYc9jbY.html I grew up in Florida...what part?
First of all glad I was so glad to find you and by chance too, I like your ethos! I jumped in a few months ago with Jones Road and recently bought a new kit (which took nearly a month to arrive here in London) with the shimmer face product, powder blush, smokey grey powder, brown eye pencil (really nice on brown eyes). I am pretty happy with the products, love the simplicity. I, too ,think it is not long lasting and I am a bit confused about what miracle balm actually is for. I was using it more as a blusher but going to do your way although not sure my pencils would then be right (too light) I really don't like buying anything skin make up wise online as how do you get the colour right and you can't send it back if wrong! I'm not sure I got the right pencils. Would be lovely to have the luxury of many more pencils like Bobbi has at her disposal 😂 I wish they were a bit more specific with how to use products a not sure if their new shimmer thing is supposed to work with miracle balm! Look forward more videos.
Colour matching is so tricky! I personally think the pencils work better over the miracle balm (otherwise they drag on my skin). It sounds like I need to experiment not with other products. The new cream blushes looks amazing! Thank you so much for watching ☺️
This product doesn’t have sunscreen. The formulation of Miracle Balm caused me to have sunburn… I live in the upper Midwest and this happened in early March.
I want to let you know after purchasing JR the product was disappointing due to, First the smell is terrible and the greasy feel was not good. Really reminded me of shoe polish. But after listening to your story here sold me more. I don't like leaving negative feed back. Now that you go through the good oils it make sense. My skin is normal but the grease was too much for an few hour. It's true you need more colors but the price is $. Maybe a trial pack would be a good starter with color palettes. Take note Bobby Brown. Thank you Mary great sales for Joan's Road. I will stay the road for awhile longer!
I bought the Miracle Balm. I have a somewhat oily skin. My face felt like I had school paste on it. My hair stuck to my face. It looks good on you though.
I love the balm. I purchased 3 colors. Not a fan of the color stick. I'm 45 turning 46 next week. I wear only this everyday for the last few weeks and the improvement of my skin. Love love love.
I have allergies and found that the balm's smell bothers me. It is strong. And I also got a pimple, which scared me off. I normally never have pimples. 1'm 44, my skin is dry, it sucks up all the hydration, and even in the summer in hot and humid DC I use Pyungkan Yul's Nourishing Cream and can't get enough of it. So I hoped for this product. I got two - no color and a light rose color (can't remember the name now). Would really LOVE to use them (and I still have them at the top of my drawer in hopes), but the smell and fear to break out...
I recently purchased the pencil and am not crazy about it. I have dry skin; moisturized before trying the pencil but still found the pencil too dry. It left little white spots under my eyes. Hmmm. not sure if I want to try the other products for the price. Thanks for a good, honest video on this product.
I can totally see that. Since this video she's launched WTF - What The Foundation - which is much better suitable to dry skin. I did a demo of that if you'd like to watch: bit.ly/39A1gYG I find it much easier to use...
