2:25 that droid is voice by Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker. They tend to offer him voice roles in these series. Pedro Pascal wasn’t in the suit much cause of other commitments he had on other sets so the stuntmen would do the acting. I believe Pedro and the two stuntmen worked together to develop Mando’s mannerisms and how he moved. They decided in Season 3 to give the stuntmen credit as also playing Mando.

Pedro didn't sign onto the show until later for S1, plus he had theatre commitments. The one scene that was definitely him was when Din found the gear knob in Ep3, Deborah Chow wanted Pedro for that scene. Season 2, he spent much of the season in the suit. S3 he was filming TLOU. Each season has a BTS, which is worth watching.

Hi Tara! Remember one thing, this takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Empire. 1:55 - You're not wrong. And the whole WORLD went nuts with the reveal of The Child. How they managed to keep that secret until the debut of Chapter 1 is astounding in this day and age. 4:05 - Not always. There are two body doubles that do most of the body motions. However, he DOES don the suit from time to time. The thing is, he's working on several different series' at the same time, so he's not always available. 5:25 - No spoilers.... but take notes of this nighttime scene..... remember it. You'll understand why I'm telling you this, later on. 8:50 - Pelle Motto MAY be a bit shady, but she's a good person at heart. I'll tell you that much (which you likely already figured out). 9:50 - No spoilers.... but do NOT look up any more information on her, unless you want to find spoilers. Yes, she was in Bad Batch, but I think she had other appearances earlier in the timeline as well (I just can't swear to it at the moment). Without spoiling anything... I will (carefully) say that... that end scene is going to SHOCK you when you find out what happened next. But there were clues, which had speculation run rampant when the show was in motion. For context, The Bad Batch took place in 20-19 (so far) BBY. Right at the end of the Clone Wars. Return of the Jedi was in 4 ABY, and this was 5 years later in 9 ABY. So, you can do the math on that. You're looking at close to 30 years difference....

It just occured to me that Mando did not even bother to check if Shand was alive. I get that he was thinking about Jr. but that was pretty cold.

So the Red R2 unit is R2-D4. Which is the same droid that blew it's motivator on the Lars Homestead in A New Hope. When is the first things that I can remember seeing actress Ming Na Wen in why is her doing the voice of Mulan in the 1998 film. She has had a very impressive career over the last 30 or so years and the woman doesn't look a day over 30 despite as some have mentioned her being over 50. Fennic is very much like that as if you consider the fact that she was looking for Omega in the first year after the fall of the Republic you figure it's been 24 years that she has been a bounty hunter and an assassin. Which unless it seems you end up for an extended period of time on the sands of Tatooine you are not going to age that much

10:08 Since Fennic Shand was in "The Bad Batch," which took place shortly after The Clone Wars, and this series is set after Return Of The Jedi, that'd be 30+ years later

Theres some confusion in thesse comments about whos playing the Mandalorian. Pedro is mainly the voice actor, however he was in the suit for several scenes in Season 1 and about half of season 2. The main guy in the suit is John Waynes grandson, Brendan Wayne. He gives mando his gunslinger swagger. Then a stunt man named Lateef Crowder is in the suit for most of the more intense fight scenes.

Hi Tara!😊 During the first season Pedro was in the armor most of the time. But after that he was gradually replaced by a stuntman as it took a toll on his body. Currently he no longer appears wearing the armor and mask. Ming-Na Wen who plays Fennec Shand is a very youthful 60 years old in real life. In seasons one and two, Pedro Pascal did frequently wear the armor on set, but not always. In season 3, he was mostly absent from the set, as he's got a busy schedule these days, and recorded all of his lines in advance.

Fennec Shand was created for this episode as a sort of one off character, but she was liked enough I think that she was given some background in the Bad Batch series which came out a year or so later. I believe Fennic is supposed to be around 50 years old here, and therefore roughly 20-25 in Bad Batch, which was when she was a fairly new bounty hunter

Fennec's actress, Ming Na Wen, was 56 when doing this episode. The in-story year is 9ABY (After the Battle of Yavin, aka Death Star 1's demise) The animated episode you refer to was set in the year 19 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin) so by extrapolation, Fennec would be around 29 years old when she met Omega.

tara, when i first watched this episode, i said, there are only a couple of characters in star wars that wear capes and boots like in the end credits scene, Count Dooku, Boba Fett, Darth Vader , Lando Calrissian?

Pedro Pascal - I think in one episode in season one was someone else. Season 2 and/or 3 he was not in the suit more (had other shows). First appearance of Fennec in live action.

In season 1 and 3 the only time pedo Pascal is on set is when he takes his helmet off, Brendan Wayne is the main actor (grandson of John Wayne), in season 2 pedro does most of the in the suit acting. This episode will pay off in season 2. Pele the motherly figure becomes recurring character that he trusts
