Had my 2 girls at 22 and 24. But we adopted at 40, 2 special needs babies and boy our lives changed! I'm 70 and they are both still home. It has been a challenge for sure, not many retired adults still have their children . I de-stress at the end of the day by watching cooking videos, with quick meals, like yours. Thank you for solving my meal decisions once in awhile. You and your husband are a kick in the pants! The Lord has blessed you and me for finding your channel!
I have a special needs 22yo at home. We adopted from the Ukraine! I’m in my 60’s and he thinks I function at a 22yo level! It’s exhausting but loving.❤❤❤
God bless you for loving the often unwanted, but very loving, God's children! May God give you both the strength, and good health, to keep going, to provide a loving home for them!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my mom. We got news Wednesday that her rental property is a total loss, AND we're supposed to get more severe weather this evening and again on Tuesday. She's very anxious about severe weather now. Please continue to pray for us.
Just a tip when working with pizza dough, it’s very elastic, but relaxes more when it is warm. I will put my dough onto the pan and put it in the oven for a few minutes to warm it. Then it’s much easier to press into the pan to reach the edges and it won’t spring back. You could also place it in the pan and leave it on top of your stove until it gets to room temperature, then press it into the edges or up the side of your pan. Hope that helps! I really appreciate the dinner ideas. Looking forward to trying these.
I'll be making 'straight out of heaven" tonight. I was tempted by it the first time around! BTW, The holy trinity is actually celery onion and green pepper. It's a cajun/creole term. The French term "Mirepoix" is the term you are looking for with carrots.
Just a tip for new jars that are hard to open, turn the jar upside down and smack the bottom, this helps loosen the seal and makes it much easier. I love watching you guys and have made a bunch of your recipes. My family loves them. Thank you for letting us into your lives.
I'm 76 and have ALWAYS loved beards! That said, he looks MUCH YOUNGER ”fur free". Fact is, he's just CUTE, period! You're a very attractive couple. Looks and personality. 🥰 Love all the new recipes I get from you. 53 years, cooking 3 meals a day... My creativity is stretched to the max. You are a pleasure to watch.
Team Beard I love you two, can't help it that you're my all time favorite cooking and entertainment show of all RU-vid. The great recipes and the humor and the love is incredible Thank you for making this lady smile. Oh yeah, although Steven looks younger w/o the beard, I love the beard too. I vote beard. 🧔
Steven should have been a radio DJ with his “ common tater” voice 🤣 I’m team beard! Love your videos and y’alls chemistry in front of the camera. Y’all should take your act on the road 🤣
Watching this because no sleeping in Alabama tonight waiting for several storms. I'll be watching the entire playlist. Vote team beard. It's been several in several southern states. Praying for all. 🙏
Beard all the way I have had mine for 50 yrs!!!! I grew my beard at 15 and kept it since then keeps me cooler in summer believe it or not and warm in winter
I love ya'll SO DANG MUCH because you truly enjoy each other and cookin' together! You're both hilarious!! I love that Steven's a manly guy who can articulate flavor descriptions to a T! GOD BLESS YA'LL! 🤗🇺🇸
Loved your boxed stuffing recipes. Enjoy you and Steven’s interactions. Ya’ll are are a hoot! I am a southern great grandma who still loves trying new recipes. I just purchased a box of old “church” cookbooks and “home economics” school recipe collections. Just a note, carrots, onions aand celery is a “mirepoix”. Onions, bell peppers and celery is the “holy trinity” of Louisiana cuisine. It took me forever to get it straight when we lived in ‘Nawlins! My stuffing trick- I use boxed stuffing in my meatloaf as a filler instead of oatmeal. I just grow in some diced onion. It is perfectly seasoned!
I've been in a slump with my cooking. I have MS and don't get to cook as often as I used to. So your new recipes have inspired me because they're just so simple. THANK YOU!❤
Mandy! I have had babies from the age of 22 to 42! I have 7! Having a blast with all these kids and grands! Love the pizza recipe and the the big Mac salad! Love you 2!
I'm on team beard. I'm the same way with my husband, I prefer the beard. I love your vlog, there are so many good recipes and then Steven's face when he really likes something is just so cute. I just love watching y'all. Y'all are so cute together. Thanks for all the delicious food you have added to my family's life.
Yes, She is in Our PRAYERS 🙏🙏. We understand 🙏 so well our home has been in BAD WEATHER AREA'S too. We been visiting and can't seem to get Home due to the WEATHER 😢. BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY.
I get 2 rolls of croissant dough, roll one into the bottom of a 9×13 pan; put a mixture of ground beef or ground sausage and spaghetti sauce, covered with sharp cheddar cheese, and the remainder roll of croissant dough. Bake until golden brown, for a rich, delicious, EASY dinner, that my family of 6, including me, LOVED! (I had to make two, the bigger they got!) I love watching you create these interesting recipes. It gives me incentive to cook!
You two are just the best! Love the laughs and love and yummy meals ya'll bring us along for each episode! I know this is an older vid now but, thank you so much!
I made your straight out of heaven casserole. I cooked the carrots, onions, celery, and chicken (used raw chicken tenders cut up in bite size pieces) on top of the stove. Then added 1 can of cream of chicken soup, and 2 cups of chicken broth. In another pan, I made 2 boxes of turkey dressing. After the dressing sat covered for the 5 minutes. I combined the dressing with the carrot, onions, celery, and chicken. Then mixed until combined. Added 3 cups of fresh chopped spinch, mixed. Then placed the entire casserole in a greased 9x15 glass casserole dish. Added 6 small pats of butter on top of the casserole, and baked for 25 minutes. OMG....it's was heaven😊 I modified it a little bit so I could bake it in the oven. My guys had 2 servings each, and we had leftovers for several lunches. I'm happy I found your vlog. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Team Beard! My husband has finally "perfected" his beard and I must admit it does look really good! Mandy, your channel has changed my cooking life! Seriously. I needed to update my meals/planning as I do monthly meal plans and boy did I hit the jackpot when I found you guys! You've already done the testing of the recipes so all I have to do is adapt them to our dietary preferences. I love that you use what you have on hand when it really doesn't change the outcome of the dish. I just received my Cambom grater and can't wait to use it. Keep up the great work - we're watching!
Mandy, I make steak pizza, instead of using pasta sauce, I use A-1 sauce and I use round steak thinly sliced and of course I use mozzarella cheese on the top. I use my iron skillet to cook it. It is very yummy❤
I love watching you both together, I get a kick out of it when Steven says 'Tad' that cracks me up- he is my favorite 'bubba' and the way you both cook together is great, you make interesting recipes with some common items used in different ways.... I watch other cooks and many mix too many complex items that I don't keep in my home and add too much cheese- heavy cream- sour cream- cream cheese- every other cheese- and being lactose intolerant I am always thinking of how to avoid so many cheeses... you cook healthy and common sense food that always looks fantastic and when you all say "this smells so amazing" I am like NOOOOO I can't smell that!.... Thank you for making recipies that I am excited to try!
Hi Mandy. Great Winner Dinners. You guys are hilarious. I love how you genuinely get tickled over Steven’s jokes.😂 I’m Team Beard 🙌🏽 Thanks for sharing. 🤗💕
If you rinse red onion pieces and put them in a heated mixture of white vinegar and sugar, let it cool on the counter, and store in a mason jar in the fridge, you have delicious pickled red onion, for salads and sandwiches, without that sharp taste that comes from them. I never ate red onion, until I tasted one made this way, and placed on a sandwiches we got while out West. It changed my thinking, COMPLETELY!!! Who says you can't teach an old lady, of 60 years old, new things! I learn new things watching cooking vlogs, almost daily!
So sorry about your Mom’s situation…definitely will be praying for her and you guys…there has been such terrible weather just about everywhere. Love your recipes, stay strong 😘
Hello Mandy, Thank you for sharing loads of your recipes. 🍔🥦🥘 I have tried and enjoyed many of them. By the way I love your cat❣ It's great that your husband joins you to test out the recipes. Happy Spring and have a great day. 🌷🌷🌷🌷
Team Beard lol. Someone needs to get that to MacDonalds coz therz lotsa ppl who can't have or just don't Want the bread, such as myself, but LOVE BigMacs. Yall are SO in love, omg, one can see it plainly & clearly
Love you guys❤ you have truly helped me with sooo much I’m currently going through a separation 😢 and just watching you two, and you vibe and happiness has helped me more then You will ever know❤ by the way I made the chicken tacos from your last video in the instant pot, for my sisters bday celebration!! And oh my goodness! Sooo good give hit! We loved it! So easy! Thank you so much again❤
You two are absolutely adorably funny!!! You both are so entertaining! Your life is going to change once you are empty nesters. Not bad just different! I am 70 , married almost 46 years, cooked all our meals and I have learned some new tricks and recipes from you!! Thanks for making cooking fun again!
Oh yes for sure. I’m sending 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 your way to your mom and family. I will also light a candle at church on Sunday . Please take care of your mom. I know you will.
Team beard!!! My husband and I were married 52 years and he almost always had a beard. He looked like a baby without it and I was not a fan. I lost him last year and it brings me such joy to watch you and the "Common Tater", y'all are a hoot. Bless you both, g
One of my favorite casseroles is a Mexican style one with ground beef, refried beans, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, tortilla chips and cheese! Lots of cheese! Then you top with your favorite taco toppings! My hubby likes putting his in a soft tortilla shell! My aunt gave the recipe to my mom when I was a teen and after that I started making it! It’s a favorite between myself and my sisters!
The Lemon Chicken Orzo is one of our favorites as well. Since watching this recipe the first time I have made this dish at least 3 times now and it is so good!! Its like the perfect dish. Its warm and comforting dish but also light. Hubby loves it as well cause it has feta in it!! This is defiantly a keeper. Just a tip for you. When zesting lemons or limes turn your microplane grader upside down while zesting then you won't need to have a dish to catch the zest. It will just collect it all and then you can just push it off the grader into a dish with less mess.
A quick tip for mixing meat such as chicken or pork in your instapot or crock pot. Just use your good ole hand mixer to mix up your meat and it will chop it up small to use for pulled pork or chicken sandwiches
I have made Garlic Pork Chops several times, however, I do it slightly differently. I cut the pork (I have also used chicken too) into thin strips and I slice the garlic. The entire family LOVES this recipe. Then I put it over stuffing or mashed potatoes.
Today is my Mandy in the Making Marathon day! I'm an Interpreter working from home..and I blessed to watch your wonderful videos all day at will, as I'm waiting for Calls!❤❤❤
I so enjoy watching your show you are a great family trying more recipes loving them I am 69 years young my husband of 43 years met him 53 years ago first love would have loved your dishes he loved chicken thies
Oh my gosh, I love laughing with you guys. All three of these recipes I need to make. I keep telling my sons to tune in to your channel for all the wonderful recipes because they do most of the cooking in their families and the one thing we all hate to do is think up new things to eat. Keep them coming. Love watching you.
I was raised and still live in Arizona, but my mother was from Oklahoma and my daddy was from Texas so I too have a bit of a southern accent. If I'm around anyone with an accent mine gets stronger without me even trying! My family thinks its too funny. We are going to be in your neck of the woods in May for vacation. Looking forward to spending some time in the south!
