Leonel Hernandez was convicted of murder in the 2016 fatal shooting of Richard Madrigal Jr., who was known as Rick "Mardi Gras" during his time at 95.5 FM-KLAQ.
Prosecutors claimed Hernandez shot Madrigal because of jealously over a woman.
Leonel Hernandez was sentenced to 50 years in prison

It always cracks me up when the detectives/investigators say things like “thank you for being honest, it goes a long way” or “if you’re honest, it will go a long way with us”. 😂😂 Yes, a long way in helping us close out this investigation and throw your murdering ass in jail. No judge says “well gee, he was honest about the murder, let’s drop his sentence a bit… as a reward for being honest.” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Let me be clear, I’m not advocating that they SHOULDN’T be honest or that they aren’t still pieces of shit because they were “honest” about them doing something awful. It just cracks me up how many people buy into the “it will be better for me if I listen to these guys about honesty”.

Just found this channel today. I've watched a lot of these interrogations before but this channel has literally all of the best ones and a few I've never watched yet. Outstanding content. Not to mention theres no boring or stupid ones like some other channels have. Where they have some random guy getting interrogated by some random police about some random event that wasnt even really that serious, and I say random because in alot of them we never know wtf the person is even being interrogated about!

When he left the apartment after being threatened retrieved his weapon from the vehicle and returned, that made it first-degree premeditated murder. If he already would have had the gun in his pocket and just pulled it out and fired he might have gotten off with second-degree murder 25 years to life.
