各位觀眾大家好 Hi, my dear friends.
今天和各位講心的管理 Today my topic will be "the management of the heart."
我們管理事情容易 It's easy to manage things;
管理錢財也容易 so is to handle money,
管理人就比較難一點 but, it's a little bit difficult to handle personnel, 
管理心更困難 and more difficult to handle our heart,
因為心太多了 because the heart is ever-changing.
善心、惡心 There are kind heart, evil heart,
好心、壞心 good heart, bad heart,
信心、疑心 trustful heart, and doubting heart,
貪、瞋、愚、癡 as well as greed, anger, ignorance, and attachment.
這個心好多的樣 The heart varies in multiple states.
所以要管理心 So we need to handle it.
別人也管理不到 Other people's heart would be out of our reach,
還是要自己的心來管理自己 so we better mind our own heart and manage it
把自己的心昇華做 by elevating it to become a good heart,
另外一種好的心來管理壞的心 and with this heart to control the bad heart.
例如說下面四點 The four points as follows can be our examples.
第一 用捨心來管理貪心 Firstly, use generous heart to handle greedy heart.
我們這個貪心 The greedy heart inside our mind
貪得無厭 is insatiable with what we have got.
這個貪心 This greedy heart
自私自利 is selfish for our own interests;
人家不喜歡 people dislike it.
我們用捨心 We should, instead, use a generous heart
喜捨 to give happily.
我給人 We should give helps to others
捨得捨得 and be quite willing to do it.
我能捨 If we can part with things,
我就不貪 we will not be greedy.
反而有所得 On the contrary, we will gain through this.
第二 用慈心來管理瞋心 Secondly, use kind heart to handle angry heart.
有時候我們瞋恨心 Sometimes we were angry.
一念瞋心起 When a thought of anger rise,
百萬障門開 numerous approaches to hindrances will open.
這個瞋恨心 This angry heart
好像如火 like fire…
瞋心如火 Angry heart like fire
能燒燬功德之林 can burn down the wood of merits and virtues.
所以只有用慈悲的心 So we have to make use of kind heart
來管理瞋心 to manage angry heart.
不要發脾氣 Don't burst with anger.
發脾氣不能解決問題 Burst of anger can't solve problems.
第三 用智心來管理癡心 Thirdly, use wise heart to handle deluded heart.
用智慧管理愚癡 We should use wisdom to handle ignorance.
不明理、無明 For unreasonableness and ignorance,
用智慧 wisdom is a cure.
這個要理智 By using reason
要理路 and sensibleness,
癡心自然就會減少 the deluded heart will decrease naturally.
第四 用虛心來管理慢心 Fourthly, use open mind to handle haughty heart.
我們一個人 We, as a human being,
跟人相處 when getting along with others,
有時候我慢 may sometimes be criticized as a haughty person.
總覺得自己有哪裡優點 We may feel superior to others in some ways,
哪裡比你好 excel others in some ways
哪裡你不如我 or surpass others in some ways.
驕慢 This haughtiness
慢心給人反而輕視 or haughty heart will, on the contrary, make us despised
反而交不到朋友 and fail us to make friends with people.
所以必須要用虛心來管理 So it should be handled by open mind.
虛心就是謙虛 Open mind means modesty.
能可以謙虛 Being modest
就能可以讓人覺得我們高貴 can make people feel our noble personality,
讓人家肯得跟我們接觸 be willing to get in touch with us,
跟我們來往 and become our friends.
所以以上貪瞋癡慢 So the above four kinds of evil heart,
的四種壞心 greed, anger, ignorance, and arrogance,
能用捨慈智虛的 can be handled by four kinds of good heart,
四種心來管理 including generosity, kindness, wisdom, and modesty.
第一用捨心 First, make use of generous heart.
喜捨的心管理貪心 Use generosity to handle greedy heart.
第二用慈心 Second, make use of kind heart.
慈悲的心來管理瞋恨的心 Use kindness to handle angry heart.
第三用智慧的心 Third, make use of wise heart
來管理愚癡的心 to handle ignorance.
第四用謙虛的心 Fourth, make use of open mind
來管理傲慢的心 to handle arrogance.
