Nah, not that complicated. It is only confusing if you jump in with no context. Best to just look at the over views the games give or to just look for the story modes of past games online if you don't want to play them yourself. Or hell, just look at the wiki when you have a good handle on what is happening right now.

Dante Blackquill Its my first game and I don't know if I should really play the story mode since I know fuck all.

It's meant to be convoluted but it's the fun aspect, it has a lot of depth and history so you can get the full picture with time and investment

+Kendall Hawkins No I just checked previous releases and all games were released on arcade on November with a console release the fallowing spring all previous games came out in the US on June with Cronophantasma coming out a month earlier which was in May, so is likely this will come out in May/June.
