Rinku Aimoto, transfer student to Yoba Academy, meets DJ-in-training Maho Akashi.
Seeing that Rinku is interested in DJ activities, Maho takes her to see the performance of the most popular DJ unit in the school, Peaky P-key.
Consumed by the excitement of the performance, Rinku asks Maho to form a DJ unit with her.

There's going to be a bunch of people upset over Maho's accent in the dub, but I'm pretty okay with this, especially considering this dub is pretty good. A different studio for a dub of a Bushiroad property was desperately needed, and I'm willing to sacrifice fluency for better voice direction.

Me too! And I'm going to be honest here... if people are going to complain about anybody's voice, complain over Rinku's. Rinku is my favorite girl and omggggg is her English dub voice so loud and obnoxious. 😭

You can kinda say it stands out in a somewhat okay way. It’s impressive she’s capable of doing this but when hearing her talk to the other dub VAs she sounds like a foreigner among them (I mean... yes that’s the point but.)

Bang Zoom was the dubbing company that did the dub. Tony Oliver is the voice director (also plays as Ryujin aka the cafe master) While Bandori on the other hand was dubbed by Sentai Filmworks. Voice director was the father of Yukina's English va

I did the absolute most trying to find the english dub. Crunchyroll or Funimation didn't have it, but its here on RU-vid. Only took me about a week. Lol I already watched the whole series in Japanese but I enjoyed it so much that I'll watch it all over again in English. And I know everyone in the comments has said this already many times, but Maho's voice actress did an amazing job for both the Japanese and English versions!

Honestly. Thought it would be worse. But this is prob the best lip-synced I've seen. Many animes I've seen the lip doesn't sync up with the English dub which is what ruins it for me. Gotta give credit where it's due. Amazing.

Unless the studio redid the lip sync in Japan with Maho’s actor first before sending it to the English studio. Meaning all the English actors react to Maho’s acting. Also I think we are heading into the direction of studios redoing dialogue after getting other language recordings as Square Equix released FF13, Kingdom Hearts 3, and FF7 remake where it has been done.

I don’t watch English dub because I feel that English dub sounds too enthusiastic in order to match the Japanese tone. However I just wanted to check it out and honestly I think Maho’s accent thing is kind of cute. Like others said, mega kudos for her doing the sub AND dub.

Okay, I'm so conflicted about Maho's voice. Yes, it's extremely impressive that her Japanese VA can also record her english lines. However, there's no denying that she can't hit the same emotional notes she can in Japanese. Her dubbing would be great for a character who's still learning english, but that's not how Maho's character is in Japanese. It's an inevitable disconnect. Personally I would have preferred they cast a native speaker, but it is pretty cool as a novelty.
