David's unique sound brought it all together. I actually listen to the Cars more now than ever. In my younger years I really didn't hear the music, now I hear each and every sound. I now can hear David on the drums as well as Greg on that keyboard. Rick, Ben, Elliott, Greg and David were as one with the music and fans. Even though Rick and Ben are gone I still hear the great sound. I watched the Hall of Fame induction and my vision of the Cars was still from the 1980's

Was Just listening to "Dangerous Type" and the I absolutely just love David's drumming on this track. When he does the tom roll, you can't help but play your own air drums.

David is just as hot as Ben ,never understand why he never got the attention. That drum kit is probably too big for anyone to see him.

dave was the ringo of "new wave" drumming ! very identifiable fills that were fabulous in every way !! I remember listening to their music and waiting for every perfect fill to slip in and out
