In this song I reflect a lot. I'm not trans, but I'm non-binary. For a long time I was made fun of for this, the others kept telling me to follow male and female stereotypes. Several times I remained to think if it was the right thing to decide to go back to defining myself female. But every time I listen to this song, I remember that there is nothing wrong with me, I am what I want to be, and I am proud of myself! This song is by one of my favourite singers, favourite celebrities, favourite person that I've never met. Cavetown holds a special place in my heart for many different reasons, one of my best friends showed him to me, the lyrics hit too close to home (haha you get it? it's home like the song. Ok yeah that was not funny I'm sorry). Cavetown really just brings out my feelings that most of the time I can't comprehend the feeling of. For me feeling some emotions like love and happiness haven't happened since the pandemic started and it hurts so much.
