ゲームのストーリーが後半になるにつれて壊れていく9Sの声を出す花江さんの演技力ヤバすぎましたよね アニメでもまた残酷だけど美しいオートマタの世界を見れるのは嬉しい

それなんだよねえ… CG映像で十分迫力あるからアニメだと違和感出てしまう気がする。 まあ表情の変化とかはアニメの方が分かりやすくて良いかも。

まったくソレな… 画質が語ってた世界観を壊されるとマジ辛い。

アニメ化発表から完成まで早すぎてね…。 もう少し時間かけて製作出来なかったのかと疑問が残るし 嫌な予感しかしない…。

Yeah and talking about the things they want to preserve or enhance while playing the iconic intro/bunker destroying scene in the background... I think they will do a really good job. They already have the music, the story and the cameras of the original if they ever want to milk some nostalgia

Have you never played the game? You mentioning the soundtrack as if it surprised you leads me to think you're a newcomer. If so, cool to see newcomers first times be from the anime. Also kinda weird since this is a super gamey game....and adaptations of an original work often times don't do the original justice, so it's worrying that newcomers may be turned off by a potentially bad adaptation, or worse might go online huffing and puffing about how "NieR:Automata wasn't really as good as people said" as if the anime is the same experience as the game. Paragraph over, if this is your first time hearing some of the music, then just wait and see. There's so much more, and it's mostly all from the game. 9S portion had an official orchestral remix instead of the original soundtrack from the game. Which is cool for a long time fan to hear.

I hope they bringing a lot of despair for the anime series,and bringing backstory for 2b when she kill a lot of 9s,thats my hope

With any luck they will have a budget set aside for a few episodes regarding all the past events that we didn't get to see onscreen yeah. Otherwise it'd just be a straight retread of everything we've already seen 1 to 1 in the game already and I can't imagine that really getting people's asses into seats for this

@@sirgs5662 Yoko Taro is never predictable. We'll definitely be getting new scenes and story details in the show that weren't present in the game.

​@@jaymiechan That would be nice, also to do an animated adaptation of the full concert audio drama. There's already beautiful official art of that for the 5 year anniversary, complete with falling snow to contrast the falling salt of the NieR Replicant/Gestalt artwork. [SPOILER FOR THE EPILOGUE AUDIO DRAMA] After listening to the whole thing, I think the repair vaccine worked, it was just delayed and even the pods didn't fully understand the process, with 9S's Data becoming unreadable and presumed "lost" during the process. Hence why it was so touch and go and 9S seemingly woke up out of nowhere.

Yoko Taro is a giga chad creator. I love how he simply tries to create stuff he likes to see himself and doesn't get swayed to much by outside influences.

So long as they don't cut out too much of the overarching story line (which includes Replicant/Gestalt) I'm perfectly fine with whatever changes they'll make

@@MiracleClover But Replicant is mostly a background lore only in Automata already so there's really not much to it. I would like it to focus and expand more on the personal relationship of 9S and 2B which was only slightly touched upon on side quests,

@@VirtualLoyalist06 I personally was mostly wanting them to actually turn the anime into an episodic style anime, where each episode is its own thing. This way they could adapt all of the short stories. Essentially turning the anime into an adaptation of the "short story long" novel. Memory thorn and memory cage are essential to understanding 2B and 9S as characters. The orchestral concert 20201's script reading also greatly elaborates on their feelings towards each other. Especially how 9S feels. "A repeating prayer" from the memories of puppets script reading also is essential for understanding 2B, and hell it even has the Canon ending of the game. Character exposition through LN/VN sections like what replicant had was cut out/sacrificed in order to focus on the games actual story and its events, rather than the past behind all the characters involved.

I have the same feelings. Yoko Taro consistently reassuring everyone that he's making this his baby too makes me feel better. But I'm easy to please, and I already knew that I would enjoy this for what it is. It looks gorgeous, and I'm so glad that the original VAs are voicing 2B and 9S. I hope that Kira Buckley and Kyle McCarley do the dubs if the anime gets dubbed. Which I don't see why it wouldn't, considering how successful NieR has been in the west.

@@maxharris4722 I never could get into the Japanese voice acting of this game after having heard the English one. Played it in English. My God it was perfect. Best English dubbing I've ever heard for a game. I'd say it's even better than replicants after having played ver 1.22 And yeah, I would really love it if the English dub of the anime had returning voice actors too. I'm definitely not going to wait for the dub tho, gonna dive straight in. Might give me a chance to have the Japanese voice acting grow on me.

@@trevorveillette8415 Yeah my feelings are the same. I like the Japanese voice acting to a point, but nothing beats the English dub. What's cool about the Japanese voice actors is that 2B's voice actress played A2 in the stage play and she did a fantastic job. 9S' VA has done some cool live work too with the orchestras. But you can tell that the English VAs consider NieR to be their favorite role. Kira Buckley and Kyle McCarley have even said so, and they did a TON of fanservice work because of it. It would be a disappointment if they hired on anyone else, because it just wouldn't be the same. Either way, I'm stoked. I'll watch both the sub and the dub because NieR is my favorite series of all time. I have high hopes.

@@whiterabbit8243 I just thought a lot of replicants important emotional moments fall flat with the voice acting compared to automatas moments, new or old. Replicant definitely had higher quality interactions between characters when you're just running around doing quests. There was more dynamic to their conversations, and they bounced off of each other. But comparing any serious moments to automatas serious moments and 9S just blows all of replicants voice acting away. 2B has her good moments too but they're not super common or prevalent since she's constantly trying to maintain composure. A2 has solid voice acting period. Her banter with the pod reminds me a lot of kaine and weiss, but I like A2 and pod more. Mostly because A2 has a more realistic personality than kaine. She's less over the top and shrewd with her language. A2 just sounds annoyed with the pod rather than angry. Also gotta state the obvious, her voice is sexy. It just is. Tldr, replicants little cute moments have better voice acting, but it's serious moments fall short of automata.

@@hieioni3354 ehhh i’m sure that would be good but i don’t think it inherently holds the same potential that a possibly new take on nier automata could bring. there are lots of themes and concepts you could newly adapt and expand on within a new anime, and instead of kind of shying away from the challenge of doing that and doing something else, i’d rather have a good team try and rise up to the challenge. i’d honestly rather see some content about pearl harbour in a side-story manga, small game, or novel rather than a production as a big as this (of which the marketing is also riding on it being an anime related to a popular game).

@@ryoki_PH Fair enough. But I still want Pearl Harbor Descent Attack to be animated. It was already published as a short story in the book Short Story Long, though it could have been the 2nd DLC for the game too.

@@hieioni3354 It already exists. For some reason the german version got released even before the english version too. Already have vol. 2, whereas on amazon it shows the first english volume is getting released on 13th december

I can't spoil much about the game, but it's a hell of emotional roller coaster ride, you'll love it !

@@Rakka5 Oh yes I didn't mean NieR specifically was an exclusive, but that Sony has many exclusives/PS&PC-only/ that I wanted to play and couldn't... But yeah I did sorta word it that way to be fair haha 😅

Okabe-san hizo un trabajo mucho más que fenomenal con el OST, al punto que de solo recordar mis canciones favoritas se me hace un nudo en la garganta. Así que espero lo mismo eso si tendré que esperar a que aparezcan los subs en inglés, o en español.
