Epic and fluid interactions how noctis uses lightnings blade to teleport to her, how emperor using cunning tactics as usual hes the trap setter and uses dreary cell and exdeath teleports out, epic also how jecht tanks a shot from squall head on and punches him and breaks a small hill and golbez uses it to create genesis rock made sense how cloud breaks those rocks since he has the biggest sword. Super cool how golbez and exdeath combine their magic to work together same with cloud of darkness and ultimecia. The part where Jecht protects his son tidus was so heartwarming it made me cry 😭. Super epic also how they all band together to fight shinryu the reason why their in that world and fight in an endless cycle good call back to the first game. I honestly want to play Dissidia NT but I only play 012, NT looks nice has good modern graphics but its made as a moba and this type of moba really removed the skill from 012. In 012 you need to really time your attacks have good builds and sets that you cant do anymore in NT. I dont mind the moba aspect of NT but if they brought back the rpg aspect of 012 and more hp and bravery stuff id defo play (just nerf exdeath)
I love how they bring up Noctis and Lightning interaction to life. The combo duo fans wanted so badly that time. Hope we get another chance for that story.
those villains are "villain" for a reason. They love manipulating and destroy, but they don't like it when they are at the end of the other side. so yeah... both sides got a common enemy.
I love how you could see some of noctis and lightning fight interaction here remembering how noctis should've actually cross path with lightning in the versus 13 game version ( but later changed to ff15 and the original story was later on scraped), also the way tidus and jecht finally put aside their differnece and protect each other as father and son 🥺...., Despite the poor marketing gameplay and other things this fight scene is still really satisfying and wholesome....
@@DarktekG @captchris3 Versus XIII was originally part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series, he wasn't going to *see* Lightning, more like the games would've shared a lot of the same concepts
@@Carnyzzle That and Agito 13, which became Type 0. Nomura is still a bit salty about Versus 13, and you can clearly see that with Verum Rex and Yozora in Kingdom Hearts 3
You know? It was nice to see Lightning fighting against Garland, despite both of them being on the same side of the war between Bhunizelve and Chaos. I always thought it was a nice touch that different games in the series liked to switch which army's banner your character was fighting under even if they didn't make a big show of it. It made the morality of the series feel more complex and nuanced than taking in just one game's take. Fighting to save the hearts and souls of the humans of Terra does mean fighting on the side of Chaos, but that can mean drastically different things for different people cursed/blessed with immortality and duty. Both Garland and Lightning chose to fight for Chaos in order to protect those they love, and both betrayed the God of Light in doing so, but where their efforts lead them? They became very different people across the millennia
The cinematics are always amazing, I have many memories of the original Dissida PSP games, Although NT wasn't very long lived, I am glad we could see this amazing concept of every Character in the same universe, The music buildup also is exciting to hear every time
Remember Dissidia NT was build based on Arcade machine then port to ps4 and pc but i think it would be amazing if they build it for console from ground up like how amazing dissidia on psp
Despite how old and limited by the hardware at the time, Dissidia and Dissidia 012 was and to this day still is the superior titles in the series so far.
From what I can understand from the reviews and feedback of the game is that what killed this game was the need for team battles and the oversimplification of the character movesets. In the old PSP Dissidia, all the characters have a unique fighting style and gimmick which only they can utilise, making each character actually a unique experience to use and master (Zidane being the only one that can do a Triple Jump, Cain Highwind being the only one that can press Triangle and dash towards an airborne enemy without chase sequence, Kuja being the only one that can still move while in the middle of his attack etc). Furthermore, each character has their own buffs and additional gimmicks when under EX Mode, each with their own finishing moves that pays homage to their original game as a nod to nostalgia, which is essentially what makes this game enjoyable. Unfortunately, PS4 Dissidia removed all of these features and oversimplified the game for arcade play and team plays, essentially removing everything that is worth the nostalgic factor in the game. What we Dissidia fans truly want are: (1) The combined roster of both Duodecim and NT. (2) The graphics of NT. (3) Single player of Duodecim. (4) Gameplay of Duodecim.
Well said. All those 4 points would make a great Dissidia game. I still play NT til this day cause I do enjoy some team work matches - but this game fell short. The new characters wouldve fit into the Duodecim play style as well.
Yeah this summed up quite the reasonwhy dissidia nt fell off, this point would really made a good game but they go with this way instead, i do hope that we could get another dissidia game as good as duodecim and the original one but who knows i just wish that with the stranger of paradise they could learn their mistake and made a better dissidia game...
the biggest issue I had with this game was that unlocking everything was an absolute chore to do and at the end of the day ultimately completely POINTLESS. Everything were just skins but had no impact on the actual combat. wish they actually gave an incentive to want to get the newer weapons/armour and have it actually make your fighter stronger. but we got none of it. making all battles just pure luck
I loved this game so much. I remember playing it constantly in the arcades (Taito Game Station!) when I lived in Japan, and whenever I traveled to Japan on vacation afterwards, I would take time each day to hit the local arcade and binge it for an hour or two. Amazingly fun gameplay with Tidus.
More than 20 years. I played FF II on cartridge of Nintendo. Fell in love at Amano's art at first sight. To see Firion and Emperor Palamecia fighting in 3D makes me so so happy.
@@HenSt-gz7qj Kingdom Hearts was what initially got me interested, and lead me to FF7, but I've since gone and played almost every numbered FF game. I'm currently working on FF6 in the Pixel Remaster on Switch, just got my first Espers.
11:01 Jecht covering for Tidus and Tidus supporting Jecht at 11:10 was also amazing in its own way. Really cool seeing this father and son synergy T.T almost got emotional
