Season two needs a UK release IMMEDIATELY. It just finished streaming on Max last week, which is not available in the UK and as yet it's still completely unavailable on any UK premium platforms. I've only seen the season two trailer but I'm sure it's as good as season one if not better! A huge thank you to all involved in this wonderful series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yeah season two ended perfectly and a third season isn't necessary and would probably only serve to undermine its own legacy (Max have 'cancelled' the show), so if we're going to get a third season it wouldn't be released by HBO/Max, and I couldn't imagine Tokyo Vice becoming a Netflix, Amazon Prime or FX show-So yeah, I wouldn't want to see the show drag on unnecessarily and for everyone to complain that the third season wasn't as good as the first two. HBO/Max needs to develop an Ishida/Sato prequel/sequel series type chronicling Ishida's rise to power within the Chihara Kai in the 70's-80's, as well as Sato's struggle to lead the Chihara Kai into a new century from 2001-2011ish with harsher anti Yakuza legislation and the beginning of the end of the Yakuza's dominance in Japan I.E The Godfather Part II Vito Corleone/Michael Corleone vibes, especially seeing how Ishida pretty much is the Japanese version of Vito Corleone! It would serve as the perfect vehicle to expand upon the Tokyo Vice universe without the need to release an unnecessary third season-Please make it happen HBO/Max! Thanks to J.T Rogers, Michael Mann, the writers, directors, cast, crew, Jake Adelstein and everyone else involved in this wonderful series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No. It was cancelled by Max and so it'll only get a third season if another network decides to pick it up, but for me season two ended perfectly so there's no need for a season three (I wouldn't want to see the show drag on unnecessarily and ruin how good the previous seasons were). I'd love to see Ishida/Sato get their own spin off show, one where we could follow a younger Ishida in the 70's-80's and see how he eventually became Chihara Kai's Oyabun and at the same time follow Sato leading the Chihara Kai into a new century after the events of season two, similar to Vito and Michael Corleone in The Godfather Part II-Please make it happen HBO/Max!

@@amelie004 I think it was partly a budget thing as it's expensive to shoot in Tokyo, but to be honest I'm happy it was cancelled because for me the story clearly concluded after the second season and a third season isn't necessary and I wouldn't want to see it become a Netflix or Amazon Prime or Apple TV show either, but I do hope that HBO/Max will develop this Ishida/Sato prequel/sequel series as for me it's the perfect way to expand upon the Tokyo Vice universe without creating an unnecessary third season. That way we can delve deeper into Ishida's past as well as Sato's future as Chihara Kai's Oyabun, similar to Vito and Michael Corleone in The Godfather Part II, the story would be set over two time periods-I'd love to see it!
